So did they rent the house to the Black guy? Could be an interesting storyline. Also noticed that Dale ran for mayor during covid which could be funny. I wonder if they'll do anything specific on what happened during the time gap or just tell stories about those times. My guess is the latter.

Probably, because I highly doubt they'd sell it and never move back to Arlen.

Whole lotta... snow?

I thought that Arlen was supposed to be in Temple/Killeen area?

I always thought it was a take on Garland and just a generic DFW suburb city...

Just saw a comment online that Bill is the first to cough before they are in masks and doesn't show up again. Is he part of the new show? Stephen Root is still alive and kicking.

Edit: Just saw that Root is listed as part of the revival. Weird observation though.

There's a whole lot of stuff about where King of the Hill and Beavis and Butthead are set within Texas if you want to poke around YouTube - lots of background things people see as clues, etc.

He’s on the promo poster. Of course he is part of it

Also they announced Dale’s voice actor got 6 episodes in before he died and Cotton’s voice actor will finish off the season as Dale

Richardson iirc (not that it matters), but yeah most people online have speculated that if it were an actual town in Texas, it would be something akin to Temple/Belton/Kileen

Realtor Peggy and the gentrification of the Mexican neighborhood seemed Austin, though.

Are they even going to let Toby Huss do Kahn still?

All the speculation about where in Texas it is is pointless. It's Everytown, Texas. They throw enough in there that everybody thinks it is their hometown.

Yep.  Same with Beavis and Butthead - could be the suburbs of any of the large Texas cities (and Beavis has more than a passing familiarity with Houston).

Thank you! It's like saying the Springfield Power Plant that Homer works in is just like the one in my home town. That's the fucking point!

That's what Dale would have wanted.

I always thought it was more rural than a suburb. Maybe Richardson was that way in the 90s or earlier when Judge remembers it but it literally touches Dallas and is too urban imo.

My thought is that Arlen = Allen, and rival McMaynerbury = McKinney. They would have been more isolated from the metroplex in the 90s and before though very much metro these days.

I'm hearing that they did some roundtable thing in Austin last night, and sold tickets to the public.  The guy that does the John Redcorn voice wasn't invited, but he showed up anyway and made a big commotion.   Sounds like the dude is melting down.

There’s some episodes (if I am hot hallucinating) where Arlen plays Belton in the regular season. And there’s an episode where Nancy moves to Dallas and it’s framed as a big move and she is sent back to her local affiliate. So for me that takes the Metromess out of the equation.

Edit: looked it up. Tom Landry plays a Belton middle school. So, it can’t be playoffs and Belton is close.

The rumor is he'd been struggling with addiction and recently lost his home in a fire, which also killed his dogs.

Really sad all around and I can imagine him showing up uninvited and ambushing the panel wasn't the wisest thing to do. But then again I've not known addicts to make wise decisions or be the sort of person you'd want to work with or invite to a promotional event.

Yeah, he's had some decent parts here and there, but I'd imagine it's tough if you're not headlining.  He was great in Parks and Rec.

I hope he can overcome the addiction and turn his life around. He's clearly very talented.

it gets worse.  LOTS of speculation on Reddit that he was murdered over the weekend.  He's 59, and news reports show somebody on his block, aged 59, was shot and killed.

The suspect was also 59, so if he wasn’t killed  he might have done the killing.

According to a police report, officers at the SAPD were called to a home at 200 Dorsey Drive in San Antonio at just after 7 p.m. on Sunday evening to respond to an apparent shooting. “Once the officers arrived at the location, the victim was found near the roadway of the location. The officers attempted life saving measures until EMS arrived.  EMS pronounced the victim deceased,” the report said of Joss dying from injuries sustained after multiple gun shots.

A suspect in the shooting, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja,  56 years of age, was detained, interviewed and later booked on a murder charge.

"When we arrived we encountered multiple victims that were injured, with injuries consistent with burns," Mr Redfearn told the media.

He said a suspect had been pointed out and taken into custody without incident.

"This area is not safe yet and we're dealing with a vehicle of interest," he added.

Mr Redfearn said it happened as a "group of pro-Israel people" were holding a peaceful demonstration but that he couldn't confirm a specific group had been targeted.

He said it was too early to call it a "terror attack".

What a sad way to go out.

Apparently a whole lot more behind it - his dad had built the house in the 1950s. His husband said it was neighbors who didn’t like gay people.  And a whole lore more going on.  Hard to say how much is true,
