Hey Shank, my daughter hit up her local Tesco in Hackney and found that soup mix you were looking for:

Ah, yes, a game of diplomacy, conflict and conquest for two to six.

Your post is worth at least two positive reps.

You'll hafta settle for just one and an "attaboy".

Already rep'd it, but food pic is really about as far from Shank thread as possible though.

It's the plate isn't it.

My cooking skills are very much not on par with those of other surlyites in most of the other threads.

Never really felt comfortable posting much food except in here.

With that being said, I absolutely cannot stand paper plates

Everything you posted was awesome. That could have gone in the steak thread or shit you've cooked thread just as well.

Also the paper plate "rule" is fucking stupid. It takes less energy to wash an actual plate than to keep paying for and stocking disposable plates.

There's a lot of meat left on that bone. I trust you acted on matters appropriately.

Well, it seems the party continued after I packed things in.

I find banana peppers a decent sub for japs. My ass can't take em anymore unless grilled.

To mix it up, try some of the sweet-hot jalapeños. Trappeys makes some good ones. Good for bbq nachos - smoked meat, cheese, beans, maybe a bit of sauce, some of those japs…good stuff.

I’m picturing the waitress and her husband from the movie Sideways having a high ol’ time in that room.

One of those P. Diddy parties I've been hearing about in the news?

There is no paper plate rule. Paper plates fall within the spirit of the thread. That's it.

Not to derail the thread. But I think under surly rules: you can post about dogs, food, Aggie tears, and women of the night/cleavage on any thread

But long story short. Or neighbor gor evicted and abandoned the dog. After we unsuccessfully tried to get him out of their front yard, we called the city and they came and got him. While I tried to get a hold of our former neighbor. At the time, I though maybe he got away from where ever the moved and found his way home.

Couldn't get a hold of said neighbor because it turns out your not allowed to have your cell phone in federal pound me in the ass prison for drug charges.

Found out the shelter was going to put him down because Pitt bull. We went and got him to foster originally since we were sure how he would be around the kids

His first day around the kids :

Needless to say he's now part of the family

That’s how you do it.  That dog somehow knew his time was up, and you rescued his ass.  He will be loyal to his last breath and protect those kids with all he has.  They make the best dogs.

Pimiento cheese on a chicken skin chip with Louisiana hot sauce.

This is true genius, elevating two lowly items and making a new construct of awesomeness.  All I’d add would be a round of fresh jalapeño.

im ignoring that white substance to the side.  I hope its not miracle whip.

Taco Night never disappoints. Oh, and the HEB fresh corn tortillas, ever so lightly oiled and toasted in a hot skillet, are damn good.

Daughter messaged this morning, said she was going with friends to try a famous shop in London, G Kelly.

737f706d692087df0838c7bdd76d1dbc.jpg

She said she was going to get pie and mash. I said “and jellied eels.” She said…no. I said she HAS to try them, I’ll buy (I owe her £6). She said fine.

62049045f6d702992162aaa658f1b473.jpg

She tried them. Said they weren’t terrible. She didn’t LIKE them, but they weren’t too terrible. Not as fishy as she expected.

Said the pie was good, the mash was mid. She gets better pie and mash from the corner shop in her hood.

Are those cold mashed potatoes?
