She's had at least 2, maybe even 3 swings that were very very close foul ball home runs. She can make hard contact against her

And that honestly means I gotta believe she’s due. She hit the fuck out of her more than once. I’m gonna believe.

Did it though?

TK faced 4 batters:

1) Sac Fly

2) ground ball to first, E-3

3) HBP

4) ground out to SS.

Of the 4 batters, she pitched well enough to get 3 of them out and none got hard contact. Didn't give up a base hit.

Yeah they didn’t hit her well again. A fly ball and 2 ground outs, oooooo lol

I think the bigger issue was the defensive bed wetting. That was rectified by a near come back next half inning.

I don’t know shit about softball pitching. Is there any fatigue in going 3 straight days full games?

Tell me you didn’t read the last 3 pages without telling me you didn’t read the last 3 pages. Answer is marginal… she might not be 100% sharp but she can still be 95% on it. But she’ll approach 300 pitches tonight for the series and that is a lot of Texas batter eyeballs on her stuff that’s the more hopeful reason why Texas could rough her up some.

"Any"?  Yes.  But she's done it before.  I have to think we have the upper hand though with TK on 12 pitches last night.

As I believe @FloridaHornmentioned a few days back,  it’s not really the arm that fatigues but the legs.

Exactly. Pitchers don’t really lose velocity, they they Lose accuracy. The loss of accuracy is due to fatigue in the lower half of the body. Mental fatigue also comes into play.

But the arm does get tired. Hailey Dolcini was basically a dead arm by the champ game in 2022

I truly think she was injured, but yes her arm was dead and she pitched on pure guts and adrenaline.

PTI did 2:30 on this series today, and legitimately 2:28 was about TTU, while our girls were mentioned for baiting two seconds. everywhere i look it feels like we’re the world’s biggest underdogs tonight. and honestly, i get it. that performance last night was anti-clutch, anti-winning, anti-dawg. we just wilted for no reason at all. i really hate the atmosphere and mood heading into this game. if white loses tonight…man. this is his legacy game.

The spirit is willing but the flesh is bruised and spongy.

We’re rolling with the Santa Rita hills Pinot AND a gummy. Lesbian * trifecta! Softball, Texas and its pride!!!

* wifey isn’t a “sportsball fan” and even said is “your baseball game on tonight” knowing it’s the ladies softball team. I said my softball boys are gonna be pissed at you. She said “meh, your boys are pissed at everything and everyone.”

I wonder what type of hoe ass challenge that tech coach gonna do this game

Obstruction on one of our coaches with their first or third baseman, probably.

I was talking to a co-worker who was a college softball pitcher about this yesterday.  Her words were "yea you might be a bit tired, but 20 hours of rest usually is fine", and then she added, "the mental fatigue is the thing that will actually get you."

Pitching is a very singled out, solitary activity where you are having to think a whole lot, who the batter is, what's working well, what they hit well, what's being called, what's the situation, did I just walk somebody, give up a hard shot, blah blah blah.  Given the time between each pitch your mind has a lot of space to wear you down.

Canady has a Stanford brain, not a Texas Tech brain.

"Million dollar arm" is such a terrible nickname.

That's like if you gave an NBA player the nickname "124 million dollar contract with a player option after year 3"
