Kentucky was the better coached offense. Texas was the better team in 2 out of 3 phases.

i'm not sure how you can say that they weren't better on D also or at worst a draw.  they complete stoned us all night except for 2 40 yard drives.

our ST(kicker, punter, and punt return) won the game for us with what I would call a hockey assists from the D and Stoops idiocy.   Kentucky missed a FG and had ST coverage issues.

if Stoops just kicks 2 FG's instead of going for it on 4th down twice he likely wins.

The Texas defense has been superhuman in every game except 1.  We allowed 4.59 yards per play against Kentucky.  5 yards per play means your defense is playing great.  Under 5 is PlayStation shit.  The Kentucky game also could have very quickly gotten out of hand for them.  We muffed a ton of fumbles by them.

They didn’t have 80+ plays and come up with the stops when it mattered to give more opportunities to the offense/ST.

Beating the Texas offense is not a high bar for an opposing defense.

Which one? And no, from what I can find. Definitely not the SECCG

Can we get it from ANY reputable source?  I've seen it posted from YellowHammer, and no clue who the hell they are.  IF it was legit, you'd figure the SEC would release a statement, or at least BR or Barstool would release SOMETHING...

dude twitter is the most reputable source on earf

YellowHammer breaks the news, and all these other outlets are quoting YH as the source.  This really stinks of Derrico Henrio trolling ESPN a few years back on X.  I'd love for it to be true where they're actually cleaning house of corrupt / inept refs, but we've got better odds of ending the drought in central Texas before that happens.

Just bring in the NFL refs for playoffs and conference games, then trickle down into the regular season and phase these conference cunts out completely.  They're captured by big money conference shenanigans.

Funny how the fuckery only goes one way - to support and prop up higher ranked teams trying to get a payoff spot.  there's too much money at stake for conferences not to put their thumb on games.

You do realize the NFL took ol’ Scott What’sHisName, that Fred Armensen looking mother fucker, off the B12’s hands, right?

Think those refs would be any better?

Never seen the quality of refereeing in a Chiefs game, I take it.

It's a local rag for some Alabama town that's pissy about the Auburn loss to Georgia.  All other outlets are linking YH as the source of the story, and they have no cited source, nor has the SEC or NCAA or any other outlet reported this.  I would permanently suspend my subscription to that paper pretty quickly.

For every little micro fuckery I've seen in a Chiefs game, there's 10 worse in every SEC game and about 25 worse in every Rig12 game.

i used to think they were aight because they didn’t call targeting every other play like rig12 refs but they still stank.

I'm surprised at the ref-firing, but that Auburn-UGa game was as blatant as anything we've ever seen, including the Baylor Teaff farewell and the Charlie Hip-check game. I can't imagine anything that would make shit so obvious, other than a visit from Lefty and Fingers relaying an unrefusable offer from Da Boss.

Really, only halfway kidding - it's gonna take some serious fear for you to throw away whatever reputation you still have.

When OU got called for holding Ethan Burke on Mateer's long scramble I had to chuckle. Everything we've said for decades was and is 100% true. They completely kicked our ass several times and proper officiating wouldn't have changed those outcomes. But enough of our games with them would have been majorly affected to matter.

That hold was absolutely illegal, absolutely affected the play, and absolutely would not have been called in the Big 12 from 2008 onward.

I have yet to see an SEC ref bump into a black head coach and then flag them for it.

I never understand why people say that part about officiating impacting the outcome. It absolutely impacts it. When Tech was allowed to hold, choke our d-line in 2008 it absolutely negated our defensive line and bolstered their shitty line. Their bowl game had them getting called for holding and their offense returned to normal (which was still good) and they lost.

Washington held in the playoffs and were rewarded for it with their QB looking unstoppable, even with our weak dbs. Next game, Michigan, reality set back in.

When officials stole TDs and turnovers from Texas ok state was able to “win”

Yep

A critical game changing play in the midst of their comeback would’ve just been another missed call that the whole stadium and TV audience sees.

We would also get reviewed and potential targeting for hitting their QB too hard as he takes off like a runner outside the pocket running strait up not protecting himself.

At least the SEC punishes some of their Refs for their incompetence or out right bias

Fat chance the Rig 12 would ever punish Marr and Alvarez for some of their non sense.   And they neve punished Alan Eck and he got a promotion to the NFL....

You are talking about the SEC. There would have to be a black HC in the SEC for that to happen.

They can suck all they want. As long as its not intentional sucking directed at us like it was during our Big 12 exit.

We exited the Big 12 due in large part to the 2008-2022 bullshit we had to deal with from conference frenemies. From coaches polls, holding, incompetence, bias and/or corruption - all those things led to our departure.

In a world with 50-50 ratio of subjective calls and no-calls, I’d expect several more conference championships.

History and money changes if we win additional championships, including a title in 2008. All of a sudden the LHN bribe gets bigger. If refs were neutral, our dline recruiting advantage becomes more pronounced and we knock spread QBs into Bolivia (like 2004 and 2005). We have more leverage and more money.

It’s also adorable that you don’t think Disney facilitated realignment in order to consolidate their contracts. And that our decision wasn’t also about politics.

Keep playing checkers, sport.

Good lord.  Money is always going to trump crooked refs.  Money will even trump national championships when it comes to recruiting as much as I hate to say it.  Exhibit A:  Oregon.

There had to be some outright corruption between the Rig 12 and Okie State.

We've seen the videos of 2015 Okie State game over and over and the fact OU and aggy friendly media called it out confirms it.   The Head Ref ended up in the fricken NFL where I bet my bottom dollar (no pun intended), you have some Refs, players, coaches and others in the NFL nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs seeing what is going on in the NBA with their unfolding gambling scandal.

But what was even more criminal was the 2022 game.

Penalties - Yds. 0-0 14-119

How does this happen in the modern game?    How does this happen with a team that ran an offense under Gundy that slung the ball around?    I really wish this would've received more attention when it occurred.  But getting the forever scoreboard against these guys and Tech on the way out of the Rig 12 was good parting gift.    I hope we never play either one again save the Playoffs.
