The 9.95ers might have galvanized their money people to take action. It just takes one asshat to take something personal and write a check.

You’re so negative that you’ve somehow made the concept of free agency Texas-centric. It’s so silly. It’s a competitive marketplace with lots of competing interests.

It's not Texas centric. Tech, Ohio State, Oregon, USC and a few other places are just as capable of being used as proxies to bid up contract offers for your clients.

It’s just more fun to make fun of everyone who treats every player we don’t get like a massive personal attack against themselves. And a player not entering the portal is so obviously Sark’s fault bc reasons

Who should people blame for the ups and downs of the Texas football team? I’m sure there’s a guy who gets paid really well and has the final say in almost every aspect of the day to day operations of the team. The depth chart has an absolute stud at qb with a fast ticking time clock and so far he’s been wasted. You may think it’s fine but some people don’t. I for one like the banter, it’s humorous and keeps the site humming along.

Maybe don’t let your shit get leaked to our retarded 995ers

Maybe understand information is part of the game, for teams and 995ers. Maybe also understand how fickle people can be.

Example: A couple years ago I noticed everyone constantly bagging on you and thought, “he’s not so bad”. What I failed to take into consideration was how little I’d paid attention to you. Once attention was paid, I completely understood the surliness towards you.

People change their minds, especially young people and especially when new information (or giant bags of cash) come to light.

Hope this helps:

Yeah but those teams also successfully acquire talented players through the portal. I think it’s just part of the game. Sometimes the home team makes a sweet enough offer. It doesn’t mean the player wasn’t entertaining a move.

By all accounts we tampered to get him to the portal and failed. That’s on Sark and Brandon Harris.

Damn, Brown must have really NOT liked his handjob from Helobious.

Do better, man.

I’m not saying it’s Brandon Harris’s fault, but I don’t think he is good at his job.

From what I've seen from Louisville guys, Louisville pooled up a lot of money to go for a big name QB, but then decided to not go for a QB and spend that money on Brown and a couple other pieces instead.

Either we’re fucked or Baugh is about to get generationally wealthy.

Brown isn't a bell cow like Baugh is. He's like Blue or Keilan, an explosive #2 complement to the #1. Baugh will cost whatever he costs, if he can be had by us. If not, on to alternates.

This is who I would chase after if I was Texas. Visited Michigan State this weekend and I think was supposed to go to Louisville early this week before the Brown news.

Honestly it doesn’t seem worth it to subscribe to a Texas 995 site at the moment. Every news they break can be seen for free on Twitter or through the national guys.

I'm not losing any sleep over this news. Like I posted yesterday, maybe it's becuz I've watched too many Duncanville highlights over the years, but, I'd rather have Durham over Isaac Brown. + I look at upgrading the O-Line, getting Cam Coleman, & replenishing the LB room as way bigger priorities than getting a star RB in the portal.

It's getting to the point of needing to ignore the idiots who quote other idiots. There are many.

Helobius’s hands may be getting too calloused at this point and doing more harm than good.

I'm a Durham fan too, probably because I've also watched too many Duncanville highlights over the years. He's originally from Oklahoma though, I remember OU fans thought they'd have an inside track on him early in his HS recruitment.

The portal is thin at RB this year and have you not seen what RB’s with two eyes are asking for?

Par for the course for most teams playing in the portal yea

It's a miss, but holy shit that preseason #1 ranking broke some posters. It hasn't felt right since then.

If what CTJ posted about the Wyoming lineman is true, it points to a pretty concerning disconnect between the coaches, the scouts, and the money people.

When you say ups and downs do you mean not win a national championship because the last 3 yrs we’ve been really good besides what you read on this board. We have another stud at qb behind the stud playing now. Every year is the year now in ncaa football.

We just need to torch his Camaro every week and blame it on the opposing team. We can hire Sean Penn to fix this.

This guy looks like Lando Calrissian and Bushwick Bill had a child together IMG_6320.png

Took him for granted. I’m guessing he was doing two at once and was looking the other guy in the eyes.

This is absolutely fucking insane. 5M for one year? This means Arch would be worth like 8M. Gosh, I wish Texas had some booster like CC who was just determined to buy a championship.

You guys really don’t need to try this hard. It’s obvious the staff targeted and thought they were getting Brown, otherwise Bobby and Gerry wouldn't have been singing it from the mountaintops. It’s a miss in the modern age of roster building. Doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world, but a miss nonetheless.

Yup, Gerry said a few hours ago we would know more about Brown tomorrow regarding the paper work entering the portal and once that was done he would be in Austin in short order.

I don't think the evaluations need to occur every ten minutes or with every bit of news made by the same, shrill humorless choir singing the same song over and over.

What if he gets injured in first game or so…is this guaranteed?

Agree.

It also makes me wonder if Flood took any lessons learned from this past season for improvement.

That reads like business as usual.

Seems likely he is just like most football coaches and he will not see this past season's blocking struggles as any poir reflection on him or his process/coaching. Just some anomaly that wasn't his fault and will magically fix itself.

Is the Tech QB even that good to deserve 5 mil? Jesus.
