Looks good and the book mentioned the clown coming around every 30 years or whatever it was so a prequal series makes some sense.  Although the movie moved up the timeline so this would be a closer match to the book anyway.

Didn't love it, but it's a pilot so I'll definitely give it a few more episodes, especially because of

Spoiler

The bait-and-switch at the end. I was kind of rolling my eyes at how they kept hitting the exact same notes as the book and movies, but then I realized why.

I'm not super interested in the military storyline, but ok. Let's see what happens. I'm much more interested in the Hanlon family story and I hope they go into what happens at the nightclub. I'll spoiler this next thing just in case, but it's something interesting I noticed in IMDB.

Spoiler

Dick Halloran is listed as a character - I think he was driving the Jeep when Hanlon and his friend first show up, but I don't think he has any lines in the first episode.

I bet those child actors and their agents were disappointed they didn't make it out of the 1st season.

Spoiler

Are they all dead or did they get taken down to the sewers? I mean I know one is missing most of an arm…

I’ve been watching a lot of horror this month and that was right up there with what I’ve seen.

Spoiler

The Vulture review mentioned that the showrunners weren't allowed to release the main cast list, so I think they're actually gone. They'll probably pop up in the sewer or through someone's bathroom drain at some point, as one does.
