Hell, for track, yeah. I believe they've always had a great track team, haven't they? We just went there because a high school friend of ours we graduated with went there, and they have this weird set up of when school starts and all that. I don't know if they still do that, though.

We went hiking in the woods up there and I shit you not we ran into these creepy ass guys. They had to have been making meth or something. Anyway, we spent two nights camping and everywhere we went, no matter how far off the trail we went, those dudes found us. They didn't say anything, they just followed us and stood about 50 yards away just watching us until we finally said screw it, let's gtfo. Absolutely beautiful forests, but there are clearly creeps who either live there or make their stuff there. At the time it could have been a grow farm since this was years before they legalized it.

If shit weren't going down the way it is currently, and Portland not being a shit hole, I would recommend a trip, but not now. I don't know what Eugene is like now compared to Portland, but fuck going there. We also went to Seattle and Renton, WA to visit Jimi Hendrix's grave, and then went through Aberdeen just to see what it looked like. It was overall a fun trip at the time. Now, I would probably hate it. Just too much political bullshit for my taste.

You’re telling me, for two nights and like three days of in the woods.  Two people followed you non stop within 50 yards, like mute mummies and it took you that long to get freaked out….

I will say the attitude towards Caldwell has been very dismissive around here. Ole Miss is getting elite snaps out of a kid who was playing at Ferris Wheel State last year. Caldwell started games at D1 programs. He’s capable.

Yeah, it was so bizarre. It felt like we were on the Appalachian trail for a minute, but nope. I don't if they were guarding something or just trying to fuck with us, either way the fucking with us got the job done and we bailed. I think our thought process was day/night 1 it was an anomaly, and that's just Oregon woodland people, but after night 2 came we were thoroughly scared shitless. We had actually planned to stay longer, but in a no way were we chancing it after they did it for two nights. But man, those trees were some of the most gorgeous I've ever seen. It's definitely easy to get lost out there, so I can see why there are a lot of missing people. Nature is not to be fucked with. If you respect it, it will respect you back. The creepy people, however, I don't know. I wonder if anyone else ever came across them? I need to look that up. It had been so many years ago before cell phones were what they are now that I just kind of put it in the back of my mind until of all things talking about schools with hot chicks, and then it all came flooding back. It still sends a chill up my spine. They didn't look like hillbillies, they just had on these white blank t-shirts, dirty jeans, and if I remember correctly they had on work boots. I remember they had long, unkempt beards, but their shirts were clean. Like, brand new clean. And they had on those caps with the netting on the back of the., but I couldn't see what the hats said. That place will lure you in with it  beauty, and then become nightmare fuel.

Agreed. Sarkisian is terrible at game management. Right before Niblett's return there's no reason not to call a timeout there, but I bet Sarkisian was already thinking too much about his play call to start the next series to realize it. If you're going to insist on calling plays then hire a game management assistant to be on the sideline or in the booth. Hell, I'd do it for only $500k.

I’d do it, but I don’t want to take a pay cut.

This has devolved into a bit but I'm a big Caldwell fan. He seems like a baller. I think Texas can beat Vandy with him under center.

That doesn't make the TD he threw tonight better than anything Arch has done all season.

The pass Arch threw down the sideline to Livingstone tonight for the TD was a more impressive throw.

I'll say this, Caldwell was sneaky fast as fuck on that running play Sark had him do (I can't remember the team). But I do like the spin on his ball and his relaxed composure. He definitely knows the playbook, as you could see him redirect Moseley (I think?) before the ball was snapped. Regardless, this will all be put to rest come next Saturday. If he balls out, awesome. We just shut Pavia the fuck up. If not, then we can all stfu about him starting and being a better option.

So if you any opinions, get them in now.

I'm not sure who told you Portland was a shithole but my wife's sister lives there and it's pretty much the same as it's always been. There is an uptick in homeless, but shit, there is an uptick in homeless here in Texas too.

Yeah, outside of the main cities Oregon gets weird. Ton of weirdo militias and such. Steer clear.

NGL, watching the replay now, and this feels like one of those old school Pac 12 after Dark games between say Cal and Arizona State where you just can't believe some of the plays and coaching decisions.

Holy shit balls we won?  I turned it off at 38-21 or something like that and we went to a Halloween party.  Still the right decision because the party was fun.  Unreal that Texas won the game though, we were hammered dogshit.

You don't think they'll make him sit if he has a concussion? I mean. I would like to see him finish what he started at the end of this game, but at the end of the day it's still just a game. I just don't want any long-term effects.

again, wrong. and covered at length in this thread. arch was late on that throw. caldwell would have hit it the way sark drew it up.

Yea the Mannings of all people aren’t gonna allow their kid to play if it isn’t the medically smart thing to do. If he got concussed and the medical crew confirm it he isn’t gonna play.

OK, yeah, I think weirdo militia is the word I'm looking for. It was so strange, it's like they appeared out of nowhere and just stood there. It reminds me of the movie The Strangers, where they don't speak other than asking if Tamara is home. But they also follow you around and make you uncomfortable. There was just something sinister about it. That's the weird ass vibe I got. I just sent a text to my buddy asking if there's anything I'm forgetting.

You can’t post on here if you left the game when we were behind and struggling, only to come back and win in OT…..sorry.

Are all concussions the same?

Dont know what UT does, but in UIL football, it’s 7 days out, minimum. Meaning, if you get a concussion on Saturday, you can’t play until the next Sunday if you’re symptom free.

That's how both college and the NFL work.

This story sounds like bullshit. At no point did that game ever feel out of reach, we were down less than 2 scores with 6+ minutes left to go you'd have to be a fucking idiot who doesn't give 2 shits about college football to stop watching

That’s what happened.  That’s why we make fun of him to this day.  Maybe you don’t remember, but people (especially older cynics) had varying degrees of faith in Vince Young until he consummated the deed.

csb, but 4th and 18 against Kansas was the last time I was ever worried about whether VY would pull a miracle.

Watched every game after that completely serene, knowing Vince wouldn't let us lose.
