I remember a marquee bowl game against Michigan 20 years ago. We had a hyped QB who had started to come into his own and roster filled with very talented sophomores and juniors. Texas ended up beating

Yes. If Texas doesn’t win by 30 you should fire sark because Michigan is a literal dumpster fire after the past 25 days

Sark in 2025 in games after long layoffs (Suckeyes) and bye weeks (Gata and Dawgs) is winless..

fuckin' 0-3

Expect Michigan to ball out and be physical -- just hope Sark has his team ready.... 🙄

I'd love to see Sark and team treat this as the most fun game a team can play in.   Big audience on NYE, against a blue blood (in-name), and the last true football before next spring.   Use as many trick / gadget plays as possible.   Let players draw up some plays.  Let Niblett play some QB.  Put Simmons at RB for a few plays if he wants to.  Let Hero return a few kicks.   If he can work in some elements of "we started playing the game because it is just fun" alongside making sure no one gets hurt, that could be fun to watch.

Just out of curiosity, how would Texas "make sure no one gets hurt?"

don't let Arch return punts.

Sorry I wasn't clear - I assumed most would understand the sentiment of, "do your best to get out of the game without injuries", while also knowing that in football there is always a chance of injury. Next time I'll try to get AI to draw pictures.

Why should we expect that from Michigan?

never forget ...

That was one of the more fun games I attended. We really didn't expect much based on how the season went, but my Dad and I went anyhow. I remember in the 3rd quarter asking him, "You wanna go now, and get ahead of traffic?"

"No," he replied, "let's stay for the whole thing!"

VERY cathartic, and a great preview of the next 2 years.

I’ll never forget the Rudy chants either lol.

And all the Arizona fans in attendance chanting "USA! USA! USA!" when the ASU flags went across the end zone in reverse.

Christian Clark is practicing with the 1s. Niblett with the 2s.

That was almost step for step Arch's touchdown vs A&M.

I would love to see KJ Lacey run the offense. Not darks pussy ass version of 3 off tackle stuffs for loss and punt. But rolling out. Run pass option and see what he can do

a team spokesman confirmed on Saturday before Michigan’s practice that aside from the three opt-outs, every other player made or will make the trip.

Wow so Michigan has 3 opt outs and every other player made the trip. So I wonder what the remaining players are doing 😎

All signs point to Michigan football star running back Justice Haynes not playing for the Wolverines in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against Texas in Orlando on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

As the Wolverines started their first bowl practice in Winter Garden, Florida, Haynes was not with the team, though a program spokesperson told the Free Press he's expected to fly down and join the team later. He has not 100% been ruled out, but the likelihood of him suiting up appears low

With Whittingham watching his new Michigan team live in person at the Citrus Bowl, I expect the wolverines to ball out. The fact that their team stayed together is admirable.

Might be a helluva game!!! 🤘

As it sits right now, the get in prices for each of the games are as follows:

  • Georgia vs. Ole Miss Sugar Bowl: $250

  • Indiana vs. Alabama Rose Bowl: $156

  • Ohio State vs. Miami Cotton Bowl: $81

  • Texas Tech vs. Oregon Orange Bowl: $71

God damn I wish I could go to one. That cotton bowl price is so good.

Seeing Tech in the playoffs and us in a meaningless exhibtition, because our hubris kept us in a road OOC game that should have been shifted to a home game against a cake opponent, is joyless for me. The real question is, why isn't it joyless for you?

Of course we should be playing this exhibition game. The extra practices are crucial. QB is a unique and special position, and Arch should not be put at risk. An argument can be made that Colin Simmons should also not see the field. Everyone else should play.

As for your reference to next season's Ohio State game, that game still being on our schedule proves that some unhealthy blend of hubris & stupidity is driving our program leadership. It should be another cake game to get our players ready for the conference schedule next year, which looks to be rough.

A lot of you seem to value a wide variety of things other than championships.

Just catching up on this thread after a busy holiday. Jesus. Do we have a bunch of posters that have never played sports? This mindset is ridiculous. And if they did play sports and still think this way, my guess is they were giant pussies on the field, court, ice, diamond, sand, grass, concrete, wood, ropes, or lane. Good grief.

I find the preseason #1 slam to be pretty dumb. The team didn’t call themselves that. A bunch of dickheads in the media did for reasons that make no sense given starting a brand new QB and a ton of attrition to the NFL. Yet that team bounced back and still could win 10 games. And again the two fan bases trying this both lost to this “embarrassment” of a team by double digits and one was put on the path to getting knocked out in the first round specifically because they lost to this team.

Disappointed is a term Texas fans should be using and the media.

Embarrassment should be lsu and penn state and throw in Clemson. For some reason no one gives a shit about those teams and their shitty seasons. But Texas is the embarrassment ,GTFOH media dipshits

I promise you the media has been clowning on Penn State, LSU, and Clemson. That's just a random Aggie on X.

The championship game or bluebonnet bowl, you want to end the season with a W !!

'University of Texas' is a HUGE brand. They have a huge alumni base and a bigger following, all of us cheering and looking forward to this game. I'll always cheer for the burnt orange and for the university / system to continue to lead.

Go out there and kick Michigan's ass !!!

you have to so love Keith Jackson...60 yard TD Run and the call is, at normal voice level, "Young loose.......I mean REALLY loose". organic crowd noise with 6 words, no yelling and sums it up better than any of these modern day word salad asshats and their screaming.
