But seriously, tho. It's Florida, not Delaware. If you're named all anything in Florida, you should automatically be a top 150 recruit at worst. Morons, I swear.

Right now? Easily $800,000 or more. He's shown he can do it all. Just a stud.

Man, you and I were way off. Miami came to wreck shop. I'm not really too surprised just because it's Ryan Day, but I'm also a little shocked because it's Mario Cristobal. But good for Miami showing they weren't a fluke. I'll eat crow.

Just now, immamac said:

For sure. The only reason for the $890,000 is because he's a frosh. If he were a Soph, he's adding an extra comma. That kid is special. I wish we would at least try to get him. Dude is just on another level.

In other news, it occurred to me at about 2:58 am that Miami is the team counter to Diego Pavia. Questionable past. Shady characters. Hadn't done much as of late. Then they go kick 2 douchebag programs square in the nuts and become a sentimental pick to advance in this year's CFP.

Fred Biletnikoff would catch a long TD pass, head to the sideline and immediately smoke cigarettes until it was time for the offense to get back on the field.

Just good to see happen to THE ohio state university.

This is no different. It fucks up the board. The bitch can have whatever disdain for religion. It’s his prerogative. We don’t care about his adamant feelings on the subject (which isn’t football) every bit as much as he doesn’t care about the players’ feelings.

I don’t watch the interviews because I don’t give two shits. The guy registered his opinion and that was more than enough. This is not the board for political or religious arguments. This is the football board.

How in the hell did we lose to Buckeye?

Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepali, etc. players invoke God before and after cricket games all the time, whether it's Khuda (the Urdu word), Allah (the Arabic word), Bhagwan (the Sanskrit word) or even just the English word. It's not necessarily just a Christian thing.

As long as there are sports, there will be players who invoke/thank God after games, and there will be those who dislike/complain about it. It is what it is.

Two questions...

  1. How in the hell did we lose to Buckeye?

  2. How will aggy spin this game to inflate their wrinkly little ego sacks?

Arch couldn't complete a pass to save his life in the first few games. He is a completely different player now.

Yep. That game was a full 4 months ago. I know it’s shocking, but sometimes, players and teams get better as the season goes along. Arch is on a heater right now

15 passing TD, 2 INT + 5 rushing TD since the Florida game (last 8 games)

How in the world did Miami look like dogshit to aggy but handled OSU from the early stages of the game? I won't lie, I bought into OSU and thought they would roll last night, especially seeing Miami against aggy.

They honestly looked like the same shitty team we played to start the season, except Arch was making his first start as the full time starter and we were on the road. All those skilled WRs they are supposed to have were kept quiet, like they were in game 1.

I do wonder if aggy could have also beat Ohio State, not sure if their DL could have caused the havoc Miami did. That was the main key. Sayin couldn't stand in the pocket for an hour scanning the field against shitty, slow farm Big 10 defenses. Miami has athletes with size and speed all over. I didn't see that from OSU. I guess that Big 10 championship was a precursor because Indiana was physical up front and didn't allow OSU to get into a groove.

Yeah, they got their i dotted alright.

Ohio State beat up a bunch of crap in between Texas and Indiana

everyone easily ran with the “Ohio state went very conservative offensively against Texas, because they knew Texas couldn’t score” but that offense looked basically the same against Indiana and Miami

Aggy cruised until they faced the 2 best teams on their schedule

Ohio State looked like ass in all 3 of the games against the best team, but just managed to be less ass than Texas in game 1

I think Tech is going to suffer a similar fate. They played nobody. Their only loss lost to Duke yesterday

Can anyone remember the last time OSU was on a two game losing streak? I like it but I doubt Ball State is going to extend it to three games.

Doubt the mighty Cardinals at your peril 😎

I think it’s pretty hard to say Ohio state didn’t belong but Ohio state was essentially undefeated (conf championship games clearly don’t count) and was beat by a bubble team, it really goes to the point that the loss column is not determinative of who the best teams are because we have such wild disparities in scheduling. We need an honest to god real analysis on who are the best teams and frankly ignore loss column as a singular metric, it’s informative for sure, but it should not be a standalone metric let alone the only and determinative metric like it has been for the last 80+ years.

Has anyone checked on Michael Irvin?

Fuck you, THE Ohio State.

Also, what the fuck is wrong with Michael Irvin. What an annoying fart bag he's become.

Motivated talent can win ballgames. I'd say, "well-coached", but even Christobal couldn't fuck it up.

"Nobody cares" says the guy who keeps bringing it up and cluttering the thread. And for the record, @Tex Pete cares so little about this conversation that his bitch ass went and negged my last two posts on other random threads.

And one of them was a legit complaint about the Alamo Drafthouse. Now the other was a half-way decent attempt at sophmoric humor, but I was proud of it. Especially because it played off the post right before it. I just ask everyone to read it in the context of the thread before rendering final judgement.

anOSU lost a Cotton Bowl (nonplayoff) to Mizzou after losing to Michigan, right before winning the 2024 national title. 14-3 where the Bucks had about 200 total yards.

The computers and Vegas bookies will let you know a team's resume and power. Even they cannot do much with a team that rattled off a bunch of wins over opponents that have no good wins of their own.

tOSU cunts can all rot in a ditch full of AIDS, but they were the reigning national champs and lost a close game to the team currently giving AL problems. Them making the playoffs was a lock. If you Want to talk about imposters, cast your gaze toward Lubbock

Miami is streaky. When they’re on. They’re tough to beat. They also lost to Louisville and SMU.

They were maddening to watch vs aggy. They’d be rolling. Running the ball at will, then call some stupid double reverse or flea- flicker nonsense that killed drives. Missing three FGs didn’t help either.

100% but tech is hard to keep out with a conf title even if it’s the big 12. We need 16 teams, I could give a fuck about a G5 but if you want it fine. ND and Texas def belonged and at about the #14 team the arguments of SEC SOS vs Big 12 or ACC and OC schedule starts to come out in the wash.

aggy would not have beaten Ohio State. tOSU would have been able to exploit the same weakness against the run that we did and Miami FINALLY figured out late in the first round game. Sayin would have never been under the assault from aggy that he was under from Miami last night.

I mean, the Bible is pretty clear that such public displays of piety like those players/coaches isn't how Christians should act. You would think Christians would be familiar with their own holy scripture.

Matthew 6:5-8
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Probably not. ASU had their game of the year( physically, not mentally) against Tech if that counts. Jordan Tyson and Sam Leavitt played their asses off and were a huge reason the Sun Devils pinned that loss on Tech. The Utah and BYU offenses didn't do shit.

Oregon is favored. Tech probably shouldn't even try...

Did you even try tho?
