With refugees eventually they wear out their welcome and the host country turns on them

Already seeing it. A few vignettes from the local online space:

- A bunch of refugees have nice cars/iPhones/nice clothes so why are we helping.

- Viral posts about refugees being “ungrateful”

- One dude tried to “rent” Ukrainian passports for himself and kids since local museums, kids parks, zoos, transportation have “free entry for Ukrainian” policies

- “Let’s help our own homeless first”

I think the issue with the current RU military is less their style of command and communication and more the fact that they weren’t allowed to do this thing via their own methods.

You can use a military to bluff and intimidate and you can use it to invade a country— but try to do both at the same time and you get this disaster.

Holy shit.  I gotta find a link of this fucking maddening interview that’s been on BBC World for the last 25 minutes.   Lady is an active elected member of the Russian Duma.  Straight brainwash.   Brit is dragging his nuts on her face over and over again.  This lady makes me want to jump on the battlefield with our Ukrainian brethren.

Two settlements of the Chernihiv region - Sloboda and Lukashivka - were liberated by units of the operational command "North".

Many of our allies are equally effective in this capacity.  At least at the squad-tactics level.  Many stories from the ME about their efficacy.  Listening to a podcast on the way to work this morning about the Polish GROM and how salty those guys can be.

The question becomes at scale?  Coordination between larger units?

We can now move beyond humanitarian aid to armament aid.  The Ukraine Drone Force can be donated to now. These guys are using both COTS drones(of the kind the US banned sales of in 2018) and ones of their own making then 3D printing fins to put on anti tank RPG warheads and dropping them from above.

Misleading picture is misleading.  Nobody with an AK-74 with irons sights will be smiling next to a baller with an Steyr AUG with a can and what looks like aftermarket thermal optics.

Ukraine seems to be smartly dividing the Russian forces into North & South

Depending on which map you look at, it seems they are doing a good job

I like this map the best. https://liveuamap.com/en/2022/31-march-destroyed-russian-equipment-after-heavy-battles

You can zoom in to the details of cities, roads, etc. The are between Sumy (NW) and Kharkiv (SE) on most of the maps is bound by the highway on the southwest and the Ukraine-Russia border on the northeast.  UA control of the highway is the key.

Man, I usually have a very negative visceral response to seeing humans getting hurt, killed, mutilated bodies, faces of death type shit, ect.  Now watching Russians getting blown up in their tanks, shot or burned alive?  Can't get enough.  "Was that a Russian head flying through the air?"  "Good."

Did the number of EP Miller posts on the previous page bork anyone else's ability to load all the tweets?

I love all the updates but half of them never loaded.

In one of his posts he specifically said he was using links, and not embeds, because some of them were auto-play.
