Tuberville off the top of my head

Tuberville was given notice by Hocutt and he saw an out.  Shape up this season or you will have to move on.  His old friend was the AD at Cincinnati, so he took a pay cut and claimed it was a way to get his wife closer to her ailing, elderly parents.

It's an out kind of like if his wife got drunk, hit an old guy in her car, but he died before anything could be done and you were able to claim his death had nothing to do with the accident.  That kind of out

It's an out kind of like you get a phone call in the middle of dinner with a job that extends your multi million dollar gravy train a few extra years so you bail on the people you are dining with kind of an out

Did one of the assistants pick up the check?

Holgo has finished T-5th, T-7th, T-4th, T-5th, T-2nd, T-4th, T-3rd in the Big 12. This was the year he needed to compete for a Big 12 title with the roster he had or it it's never going to happen.

People forget that he was on the hot seat just last year at WV. He's only 38-32 in the Big 12.

I'm not saying this happens but I think this is a more realistic possibility than people believe it to be. If WV has a bad year next year Holgo will be on the hot seat and they are losing a lot from this team (especially if Long or Simms leave early).

Long is gone.

Isn't Briles coaching in Italy or something right now?   Some place where forcing yourself on a woman is seen as part of the culture and hypocritically permitted by the local predominant religious faith.

Most religions regard females as second class,  the Baptists don't have a monopoly on this, some allow up to three women as wives.

yep he's decidedly average but WVU was Big East during rich rod/stewart.  WVU in the big 12 is a totally different situation.

Agreed, WVU is in a tougher conference now and plays 9 conference games instead of 7.

I think it's correct that if Holgo leaves it's because he's looking to get out before he gets fired.  He reportedly doesn't have the best relationship with the admin.

For all you guys from the realignment thread who might be viewing this thread, this is why you don't let that festering turd of a program into the Big 12. We shouldn't be subsidizing this stupidity from our TV money. Bad enough we have to deal with the sloughed uterine lining an hour and a half north of Austin.

OC just left, DC was just fired... you just gave up 70 to an academy in a bowl game... your star player and coach went at it on national TV..

Can't say I blame Fertitta for burning it down and starting over as that is what was happening anyway. Might as well try and find a coach the players hadn't already turned on.

Y'all really don't understand how delusional UH has become.  Just sit back and enjoy it.  Pezman is out of his depth.  A buddy worked there and took off because he saw firsthand what a shit show it was about to become (moreso than it already was).

Not new.  I remember the “100% Cotton Feels Good” bumper stickers after they cheated and lucked their way to 2 whole Cotton Bowls in a row in the 70s.  I remember John Jenkin’s cheating ass in red boots sitting on a Cadillac hood on the cover of SI. Here we go again. They get all flared up like this, cheat obviously and rampantly for a few years, then get slapped by the NCAA and vanish for a decade.

They are the herpes of college football.

yea but @OU, WSU at home and @north Texas state so far in the OOC they are probably fucked

that is followed by Cincy, Memphis, Navy and SMU at home

Memphis and SMU beat then last year and Navy was pretty close and plays the same O that Army just demolished them with and Cincy is better than UH right now

they will be lucky to go 4-4 in that stretch and could be 2-6 then they have Tulane, Tulsa, UCF and UConn on the road so there is 3 wins at best and could easily be 2-2

and remember they are not "burning it down" they are firing a guy that was 8-5 two years in a row because they think they can do better and think they can pay a guy $3 million plus to come in and do better immediately not in a couple of years

He should be Tom Brady's QB coach.

He was in the same training camp with TB so why not. Also you can fuck anybody you want in the pros, and nobody gives a shit who wears coats or not. Imagine Gronk on the sidelines wearing a giant coat, you can fuck him if you want.
