aggy needs a transfer QB but Jimbo is drunk if he’s going after Bo Nix. Nix is a terrible system fit and he’s awful.

I really liked Nix out of HS but he’s been about as big a bust as there is. I’m not even sure he’s a better passer than Calzada.

Bo Nix was a 5 star QB you dumb sip, Jimbo is a QB whisperer and Nix is basically a more polished Ewers

This week is the only time all year where I pass along information on as it comes in.

Huh? I suppose there are a couple of different ways to interpret that. I'm going with, "Usually I take the info and spin it like a motherfucker but this week, and this week only, I'm actually telling you the truth."

It’s hilarious that aggy views themselves similar to Bama. It’s incredible.

The inevitable, irrevocable constant is that aggy will always see themselves as someone else.

We say, "We're Texas", because it means a lot. aggy never says "We're aggy", because it could never mean as much as they'd like it to mean

In fairness, if they say "we're aggy" people laugh at them like everyone else

Yes, aggy losing assistants is the same as when Bama loses assistants.  The same.

Phrasing;

Things stay the same for both but that is not to say they have the same thing as each other; Bama is the same and they continue to play for SEC & National Championships and Aggy is the same "Next Year" Roller Coaster that derails and ends up 8&4, again, as they watch others celebrate the championships.

Harris is going follow the money like the vast majority of the 5 stars.  Tell me who comes up with most NIL $ and I'll tell your where he ends up.  This stuff isn't rocket science and we are in a no salary cap era.  Will get bigger and crazier every year.  Better make sure the good curreny players on the team get paid as well.  Free agency is here to stay.  Poor schools are so screwed.

Go away, old man!

I’ve seen this take 30 times from dumbass boomers about how this is ruining the sport. Well, sucks for your poverty schools, I guess. Go put your dentures in and fuck off.

This is sadly the truth, unless they're a legacy. NIL is about to get insane and these "kids" will no longer be just kids. Their heads will get bigger, there's going to be even more mercenaries (which is fine since you gotta win), and coaching changes may even be affected in the long run.

I'm totally fine with it. Fuck it. As long as Texas does its part to get ours, I don't give a fuck about any other teams/schools, poor or not.

If they beat Bama again next year, Saban will call in some heat.  No different than Miss.  Problem is that if they do that, good chance of bigger things for them.  In short, fuck them in their nouveau riche player purchasing ass.

No way they're beating Bama next year. Aggy d-line loses a few, and i believe their safety, too. Plus that cancer patient looking qb of theirs will be injured again anyway, so I don't know who else would play (Weigman?)

you hear anything about Bo Nix @bizzle?  Gerry Hamilton said Nix to a&m is what he's hearing

i'd be surprised. i think jimbo is trying to sneak max johnson and his brother in without alienating donovan green. who knows, i've heard more posturing this week than i have probably the last 5 years combined, nil + sec moves + all the rest has turned this entire process into a shit show.

it's pretty great.

SEC might hang them out to dry after acting like a little bitch for trying to fuck up the UT/OU move.

Nah. They bring in big money.  And there’s nothing easier than fleecing dumb people out of their money.  So, they’re pretty fucking safe, I’d say.

Big money? Don't their games bring in some of the lowest ratings?

Yeah, but they’ll buy tens of millions in SEC branded gear.   I mean they have no issue spending half a B on a Kroger stadium, 10m/year on 8-4, and >250k on a player that they won’t even use.   It’s like a tax payer backed money tree. John Sharpe hoping that next Cat 5 hits before everyone gets their NIL together.

The big money is tv rights and here's how much of a difference Tamu made to the SEC's tv payment

A quick summation of Signing Day eve

Brian Perroni

Spoiler

A quick summation of Signing Day eve

Brian Perroni

The full info can be found on the pinned 'One Day out' thread, but here's a quick recap.

-I expect A&M to land the nation's top TE Jake Johnson tomorrow morning. I also expect former LSU QB Max Johnson to transfer to Aggieland and join his younger brother. Consider this my Crystal Ball of 8 on them.

-I looks like A&M will flip 4-star Georgia CB commit Marquis Groves-Killebrew. He tore his ACL in the final game and won't play next year, so there's a chance he could be a greyshirt.

-UGA is trying really hard to flip Deyon Bouie back. A&M feels confident still but he's from South Georgia in a town that the Bulldogs recruit very well. It will be interesting to follow tomorrow as his signing time is not until 4:30 p.m. Central. I expect Evan Stewart to sign with the Aggies.

-Denver Harris may or may not sign tomorrow. I still think it will be A&M if he does, but Texas is still pushing him. There's the chance he could do it Thursday or Friday of not tomorrow, but could also just show up at his school of choice in January without ever signing.

-I still really like A&M to land Enai White and Kam Dewberry tomorrow, in addition to Johnson and Groves-Killebrew (though he might wait to announce depending on when he gets his paperwork). I think they get Anthony Lucas as well, but that one's not completely over yet.

-Five-star Kentucky OT commit Kiyaunta Goodwin eliminated A&M and is down to Kentucky and Michigan State. IMG LB Jihaad Campbell is almost assuredly headed to Alabama.

-The main names to watch in February are LB Harold Perkins, DE Shemar Stewart and S Jacoby Mathews.

I have a buddy that played college ball in the SEC and his brother played football and baseball at ATM. They have a bunch of friends in the coaching ranks. One of their buddies was playing Weigman a few weeks ago and they went to watch the game. My friend came back saying that he was the greatest high school player he’s ever witnessed. Take it with a grain of salt but these guys know football. I’m hoping like hell that Weigman focuses on baseball and pisses the midget off.

weigman looks really good at the elite11.  prob will fare better than klubnik

Does anyone else think the aggy twitter theme thing (I'm old, I don't know what these little videos are called) looks a lot like vintage porn graphics on the side of VHS boxes? Or is it just me? Or is it aggy and it's just obvious?

I mean seriously...

It's just 90s retro vibes, but that being the part of that decade you've memorized does say a lot about you.
