Depends on the basis for the warrant. Depends on what you mean by "Trump." Is he personally listening to the phone calls, or is an actual law enforcement agency, acting on a warrant, obtained after judicial review and granting, doing so? If we had intel that Bernie Sanders, or Beto O'Rourke, or whomever, was acting in concert with a foreign power, offering quid pro quo in the event he wins the office, actively working with a foreign government to hack into and disseminate data of US persons who happen to be their political rivals, or similar activities....not only would I presume that our law enforcement and intelligence agencies would monitor and investigate such actions, I'd consider them derelict in their duty if they failed to do so. Next stupid question? I'm confident that you have an infinite supply.10 points

Wife goes over to her sister's house yesterday and the place is filthy. I mean, she lives like a pig and I refuse to go over there or send my kids over there. It's a borderline health hazard. Wife wakes up this morning and talks to her sister who reports that she has pink eye and so does one of her kids. My wife starts to freak, "Oh my God, when I woke up this morning I couldn't open my eyes. They are itching like crazy. It feels like I have spray net in them. I just know I have pink eye too and I caught it at their house because it's so filthy and disgusting. I was out sick last week and I can't afford to miss any more work. You have to do something." So I call the number on the insurance where you can talk to the doctor and if it's something simple, they will write you a script. My wife has no idea this feature exists and is about to go to the doc in the box. But no problem, in about 2 minutes the guy gets me a prescription for some drops, I go to CVS and get them for her. I put the drops in for her every two hours all day long. Wife is complaining about her eyes burning off and on. She's also making me and the kids wash our hands every five minutes. About 5 o'clock or so, she talks to her sister again who tells her, "No, false alarm on the pink eye. I don't have it. I'm fine." Amazingly, my wife's eye started feeling better but now she's pissed off at her sister for making her take eye drops unnecessarily all day long.9 points

the reason that this is so dangerous in today's climate - is fucking social media. not that long ago, you heard a story on the news, on the radio, from a friend or family member. maybe you read a newspaper - whatever. and you formed your opinion (whether it was stupid or otherwise) and maybe you shared it, with a friend or family member. maybe you even attended rallies, canvassed, protested, did a little old school politics. ideas spread organically and it was a process. now someone tweets. and someone takes something already condensed, and they condense it some more, lose the context completely, until the message gets lost. but here's the tricky part. then, a bunch of people that aren't journalists and are not vetted, experienced, or qualified - take the lost message, and they are able to shout it from the rooftops via their own social media platform, and before you're back from the grocery store, it's spun completely out of control. and worse yet, people read and believe it. it's like a huge game of "telephone" involving the entire internet. and most people on the receiving end of the message are either too set in their ways, too lazy, or too stupid to resist or learn for themselves about people or facts. the only saving grace, i suppose, is that, in theory, it cuts both ways. we're all victims to it.7 points

Came to bed last night to find the wife asleep and the bathroom light on. Turned it off and the hallway nightlight (for the kids to use the bathroom in the middle of the night) is shining into the room so I shut the door partway. This morning she complains that she didn't sleep well because the light from my phone kept her awake.7 points

here's my problem with it. that specific type of play happens a lot during a game where the ball rolls off the offensive players hand OOB after being poked by a defender you just can't see it unless you slo mo it. I wanted Virgina to win but I just don't like the slo mo on that type of call.6 points

They do necessary labor at a low cost, then they put most of the dollars they earned back into the local economy and pay state sales tax when they do. The entire Republican party needs a fucking economics class. And they're, you know, human beings. If you'd been born into their situation, you'd cross that river, too. Hell, it's a near certainty that your ancestors crossed an ocean. But I guess that was different. So much for compassionate conservatism, right?6 points

Any fear that leads to imprisonment of US citizens because of their ethnicity = irrational fear. I'm comfortable with that conclusion. You seem to dispute it. I am quite, quite happy with the line drawn between us. You are welcome to gaze longingly at your copy of Korematsu as you stroke yourself tonight.5 points

Exactly. Approximately 20,000 children starved today, and their mothers invoked every god's name and it happened anyway, but Jesus made sure your team won the big game tonight. Nothing fucked up about that.4 points

Phantom foul call on Tech where Guy ran into his teammate. Tech never recovered. Fuck CBS for not even showing a single replay. Tech failed after that but it should have been their ball up a bucket with two to go. Instead. Tie game. Bullshit raiders. Complete and total. They wanted that Worst to First story line4 points

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that the Secret Service and other federal agencies have pretty stringent guidelines on how NOT to deal with 3rd-party drives. "Well, let's just stick it in here and see what happens" (ahem) is probably not kosher.4 points

Barbacoa tacos. I used chuck roast in lieu of cheek/head meat. I used dried guajillo and ancho peppers and blended them up with a chipotle in adobo, cider vinegar, lime juice, garlic, oregano, bay leaves etc. Added that and some beef broth and braised in oven for a little over 3 hours. Shredded in a bowl... Served with homemade salsa, onions, and cilantro…4 points

We should have rounded up the few million muslims in this country and detained them after 9/11, right? It's a serious question. I'm positive a very high percentage of Trump voters would be 100% on board.4 points

First, I don't buy the conference argument this year. This is the best the East has been in forever and the West just isn't as stacked as it seems. Fucking Denver is going to finish #2 in the West and I don't think I would take them in a 7 game series against Toronto, Milwaukee or Philly. I'm not sure I would take them against Indiana or Boston. I mean, the Clippers traded away their best player and tried to tank and still made the playoffs in the mighty west. So let's throw out the conference argument. Secondly, you don't get to complain about nobody wanting James Harden to win the MVP when he won the fucking thing last year. If you want to argue voter fatigue, then sure. But they certainly didn't change the criteria just to screw him out of the award he won last year, did they? You also don't get to give him credit for leading his team out of a 11-14 start when he played in almost every one of those games. Feel free to blame that 25 game start on the 10 whole games that Carmelo Anthony played in, but these are just insipid arguments. And please spare me the narrative about what a great post defender he is, especially in a league that has all but abandoned post play. I feel like somebody is telling me how great of a personality the fat girl has when you guys talk about his post defense. The truth is that he's made tremendous strides to become a below average defender. He's not the single worst defender in the league anymore, so that's an improvement but he still takes plays off -- and he should since he's got to carry such a ridiculous load on offense.4 points
