Hey, people got used to trench warfare. Bet if we asked some dude at Verdun in 1916 if he'd like to swap a few days there for sitting in a magically cooled/heated house, eating food and drinking plentiful beverages, squeezing up next to a lice-free woman and/or wanking it to magical titty movies on the glass screen, then Boom he'd be in our house tracking mud everywhere, and we, we'd be choking on the smell of corpses while astonished strangers screamed at us in French or German before stabbing us in the throat.17 points

Sullivan was homeless his entire senior year of HS, at one point even living out of his car surviving on school lunches and charity. first person in his fam to graduate HS and college...and did so in 3 years. he put team before himself his last year. and he’s a devastating downfield blocker. he can’t get separation on his routes; that’s his negative. but everything else is an A+...he does all the little things for the team, and because of that he’ll make the roster.7 points

Ribeye caps grilled over briqs and mesquite. Taking Paulie’s advice, I served them with baked potatoes. Dessert was blueberry cobbler a la mode, from a recipe borrowed from TOS ( @Brisketexan‘s iirc).6 points

One of the few bright spots from this whole mess is the time to cook a variety of different meals. I keep forgetting to take pics before the food is attacked by my kids, but here's a couple. Wife wanted Italian Beef sandwiches, so I pulled out the Crock Pot. Followed the Portillo's recipe with provolone and pepperocinis. The store had Top Sirloin on sale so I pounded the shit out of it and made Chicken Fried. A little worried as they were thicker than your typical cube steak, but they came out great. Actually a bit better. Didn't get the money shot with gravy before they were gone.6 points

And 100% of those people think vaccines cause autism and climate change isn't real, but now they trust smart people to have already developed an airtight solution, but they don't trust smart people to share it with us, because remember how they lied to us about autism and climate change?6 points

I’m just responding to this post because it was the most recent. I know you’re kind of a respected poster around these parts, I respect tour posts. But Jesus Christ man, can you put a tampon in your bleeding pussy please? If it’s not your disenfranchised eastern block adopted family, your wife’s zombie airport run, your cancerous church buddy, tour daughter’s entrapment in Canada, your sons emo struggles with baseball and friends, et al., it your propensity to wrap tour brisket. I move to change your handle to “tritip communist munchausen By proxy via the internet boi”. Yes I am Drank as fuck, may have made some of those accusations up from memory and will regret this post, but fuckin hell, get ahold of yourself. Go watch that Aussie chopper harden the fuck up vid a few times.6 points

It would make sense that Trump loves wrestling, because wrestling is completely stupid and everything about it is fake, and it is adored by idiots. For Trump it must be like looking in a mirror.5 points

No it’s not. Unfortunately. If you go by the California and N.Y. studies that have already been put out it’s bad. Hotspots running at 20% positive antibody isn’t good. Rest of NY excluding the hotspots at 4% or whatever it was is very bad. And it seems we can’t really trust the accuracy of these tests yet anyway. I should have some interesting antibody numbers in a few days, from San Antonio in a zip code that has a much higher positive rate than the rest of the city. I’m putting my guess on 5ish percent. I could entertain 10. Their cases are looking like they mostly came from spring break trips to Colorado and the spread from the people that brought it back from there. The new death rate being touted from the antibody tests while nowhere near the 3% level thrown around at the beginning of this, is still really bad if this is as infectious as thought. i mean I get you are a dumbfuck from Minnesota but I don’t think you understand the math or virology. Now, I’m now firmly in the camp of open this bitch up, because we completely lack the first tool to do that - testing and contact tracing. So does every country in this world outside of 2 or 3 and because of our size, culture, etc it’s not going to happen here. Our next tools are obviously treatment and then vaccine. in the meantime I will hope the warm weather helps and I will stay (mostly) home while continuing to practice safe habits. I’m not going to go places with crowds and I’m not going to be hugging and shaking hands with people and I’m going to dry my hands out by washing them 19times a day and I promise I will stop touching my face even though I can’t. so not to go all @Brisketexan here but since I expect mostly the worst of people, I will rely on what I can do and not what other people do or what I am told to do by some county judge or mayor or governor or president. What we certainly can do is stay the fuck home if we are sick or come into contact with someone who is sick. Since this covid bitch doesn’t show symptoms immediately and can also be asymptotic that’s easier said than done. But let’s blame our neighbor or president or China.5 points

Ok- this is the most boring thing possible but it’s what I long for to show life is back to normal: Go to church with the family Sunday morning, lunch at Chuys, movie afterward, and then home to relax and go to bed early so we can rest up to go to school and work the next day on Monday. I’m a boring person and I miss the little things.5 points

Fusca has been throwing up pretty much every meal for the last week. Took her to the vet for blood tests and x-rays. $700 later and not much answers. She is acting pretty normal otherwise. Might be an obstruction. We just spent $5k on her ligament surgery. Bought her for $20 from the pound. I guess that’s how it goes. But I don’t regret it. She is an incredible companion.5 points
