  4. Here's one of the big things that gets me about these nimrods (there are many things, but this is a very specific thing) - look at the guys on each end. They have a weapon, magazine in place. Is a round chambered? We have no way of knowing, but any sane person would presume "yes." The weapon is held pretty close to a low-ready (hands on, ready to shoulder). It is not in a holster. It is not slung. It is in their hands, held the way that anyone with experience carrying a long gun knows is a typical way to carry it when you intend to shoulder your weapon at a moment's notice to take a shot. The difference between these guys and someone who intends to shoulder and start shooting is.....what, exactly? I think it's stupid, and intended to be intimidating (and thus illegal in most places) to carry a weapon to "state your grievances," but let's at least look at guys 2-3 on the left -- rifles are slung, hands off. If you're going to show up with a weapon, keep your fucking hands off it. Imagine if these were sidearms in a holster. If they were just there on the hip, it would be one thing. But if you saw a guy with a holstered pistol, and his hand was in this position: Would you be justified in believing that he was drawing on you, and you were thus justified in shooting him in self defense? I can tell you, if you went to trial with good evidence that the other guy's hand was on his pistol, I'd have a hard time convicting you. These guys are chickenshit fuckholes trying to terrorize people, and they're getting away with it because they are aligned with the party that controls the conversation in this country. That's it. If these guys were "antifa," they'd all be in jail now. If they were black, they'd be dead and buried. It's ridiculous and asinine. You may have a right to carry. You do NOT have a right to brandish and intimidate.

Finished with mushrooms and homemade Mustard Blend. Plate is a salad plate for scale. Slammed/went hard. I’ll see myself to some more allopurinol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. https://www.statesman.com/business/20200501/former-blue-bell-ceo-charged-with-conspiracy The former chief executive of Blue Bell Creameries has been charged with criminal conspiracy stemming from the 2015 listeria outbreak at its ice cream plants that killed three people. Paul Kruse, who retired three years ago, participated in a conspiracy to conceal “potential and/or confirmed listeria contamination in Blue Bell products from certain Blue Bell customers,” according to federal prosecutors, who filed the charges Friday in U.S. District Court in Travis County. According to the charges, other Blue Bell employees — “known and unknown” — also participated in it. Blue Bell, one of the country’s largest ice cream makers, is based in Brenham. According to the federal charges, the goal of the conspiracy “was to obtain money from Blue Bell’s customers by means of false and fraudulent pretenses, representations and promises.”

  10. Man, there are some thin skinned honkies on this site. I took @Bama Chick's comment as a hyperbolic joke...apparently some of y'all took it as a personal attack. Perhaps you should get some clarity as to why you're so defensive.

  12. White men voted for and continue to support Trump at massively outsized margins relative to every other demographic. At this point they're the only demo that's going to vote for Trump, and they're going to do so by a pretty significant margin. That was the point he was making. Y'all need to calm the fuck down with the NoT aLl WhItE mEn whining. It was an obviously hyperbolic comment no different than any one of us making a Karen joke or some shit. Look at the humor on this site, which is overwhelmingly composed of white men. That's the comment that sets you off? Really helps you come off as an entitled, whiny, limp dick motherfucker with skin about as thick as Mack Brown.

I love all these universities going from "student safety comes first" to "Oh shit, they're on to us, we might have to whack bloated fees and admin layers" and are now moving full steam ahead to open in the fall. The last thing they want is another semester of distance learning to happen as students/parents will realize just how much extra $ they are paying for services/staff that provide little to no value.

  16. I posted below in hypotheticals thread a few days ago. This analysis absolutely needs to be done. We can't just hole up forever because 20 younger people in IL may die and an extra 3000 elderly people who's avg life expectancy was D +2. Meaning 2 years from the time they actually died. Now did we need to quarantine in densely populated areas so we didn't all turn into NYC/New Orleans? Fuck yes...but we also need to get out and open up society. And that is some point before trying to get to zero deaths risked. When you get sued for malpractice, the lovely attorneys put a value on that life. It's done in each case. If somebody who was already in a nursing home, demented, bedbound passes that's not a very valuable case - the ambulance chasers like work comp/med mal/personal injury cases that are with younger 'more valuable' lives...more valuable meaning they were still earning for a family, had many years left, etc. We don't want to hear it but at some point we'll have to do this with viruses and the lack and do a real analysis. I'm glad I'm a physician and my 'do no harm' hat keeps me out of that decision making process...but it's flat out going to be a necessity.

  26. I should add for the record that I don't think Kavanaugh should have been denied the Supreme Court seat based on the Ford allegations. He should have been denied the seat for being an unstable piece of shit and his record of predetermined decisions that follow a purely political agenda.

  27. It's a delicious irony that you list measures imposed by white men on persons they considered to be non-white. The standard was often to be purely unsullied white. Ten percent negro? Sorry, you don't make the cut. There is no comparison of a Western World being run by anything other than white men. The argument isn't that there are no good white men and all other than white males are great. The argument is merely that it just may be time for a change when you have white men in a free society caging children and wandering around in public with assault rifles screaming at the police all within the law of those who rule. I'm a white guy myself. I'm not a bad guy. I wouldn't start a concentration camp or keep women under my thumb when civiliation removed the necessity of being physically forceful to survive. I didn't do that to men who were smaller than myself when, in my prime, I was physically very imposing. The pervasiveness of the Me Too movement is another sickening indicator of how uncivilized men in power (who mostly happen to be white) can be. Why not give someone else a turn. It can hardly be worse. I'm not kidding when I write that I'd like to see white men sidelined for at least ten years. Look how many bawl at the notion of being left out for even a limited amount of time. Imagine watching from that spot for centuries. The objection that the poor white men would face the fate that they imposed on others would be better stated without the hyperbole. How would this work? There's the rub. I'd like to move to the sideline with my fellow honkies, but I don't see a way to enforce it. It would have to be voluntary. As a group, we're not big into sharing things.

  28. As a flaming liberal, the "believe all women" thing never worked for me. Believe most women, yes, but there is no situation in which applying believability to "all" of anything is plausible. And more practically, I knew damn well that it would backfire when a woman accused a democrat with some bullshit story based solely on knowing that liberals would immediely open themselves up to accusations of hypocrisy. I don't think women generally lie about sexual assault, but I think it happens, and this is as easily discernible a situation of lying as can be found, and of course now the "believe all women" thing is predictably being thrown back into liberals' faces. If she wanted to be believed, she should have stuck with uncomfortable handsi-ness. That is classic creepy Uncle Joe and completely believable. Funny how when her candidate went down the crapper, it turned into a full blown finger bang. And only a few months after publicly praising Biden for his work on women's' rights. Just transparently bullshit. I have found myself agreeing less and less with Bill Maher (which is fine I still like his show), and I have no idea where he'll go with this one, but I usually agree with him that its not hypocritical to believe one story and not believe another, because facts and circumstances are different and they matter. There are a million things about their lives that separate Biden from Kavanaugh. So yes, I believe that Kavanaugh most likely was an over-privileged shithead in college and probably groped or raped Ford. No, I don't think it's likely that Biden fingerbanged a staffer as a member of the United States Senate. It's only a matter of time before she's at a fucking trump rally at which time it will be a full on forced throat fucking. And the media will bring up the dozens of credible allegations against Trump and his followers won't give a shit. And the fringe on the left will continue to think that dozens of credible allegations against Trump is the exact same as one non-credible allegation against Biden and will think both are the fucking same and not vote, thereby helping trump. Fucking ridiculous.
