I think my favorite part of all of this is the unquestioned agreement that the dude who threw three interceptions vs. Kent State would have solved all of their problems.26 points

You look at TCU over there and it's just all about the tradition of Gary Patterson's shirt being drenched in sweat even if it's 5 below outside.25 points

I can't tell you how much joy it brings me to know that Harris watched the Arkansas / aggy game with Sark and Banks.22 points

I like OU as a morning game and I'm not apologizing. You wake up early, a combination of grossly hungover and still drunk, but the shower-beer helps to re-lubricate the bones. You show up to the fair, shove down some corny dogs and more beer, and before you know it the game is minutes away. Then, after you win, your side gets to claim the fair for the rest of the day until the sun goes down, at which time you gotta get the fuck outta the neighborhood. I'm open to hearing why 2:30p is the better option, but I know I'm right.22 points

The problem with Ryan Day is that allegedly he can't relate to the players. This makes perfect sense to me, because I don't think Ryan Day can relate to anyone who isn't kid under the age of 13. I'll let this speak for itself.18 points

As an experiment, a couple of times I have handed out a "practice test" for students to work on. I'd tell them it was similar to what they'd see on the real test. I'd go over any questions in class. It was similar, alright, like 100% similar. It was the actual test. So on test day they'd get the same one. Know what happened? You know exactly what happened. Same motherfuckers made A's... Same motherfuckers flunked.13 points

Found out recently that a married female relative is having an affair, she is fucking her also married neighbor. Her adult children have known for a while, and she did a bad job hiding it, but in hindsight I should have realized it when the two of them got Covid the same week.13 points

And if that happens, BLM will be marginalized and lose a lot of the support they gained post George Floyd. BLM is in the wrong on this, and so are you. But you being wrong is nothing new. You are probably one of the three worst posters on this site.13 points

Yeah, based on the time you have to think he was watching the end of that game. With two guys who coached at Bama, one who also spent a ton of time at A&M and can tell him how weird it is, and what a shithole racist tire fire he'd be living in for four years...11 points

The weekend prior to this just past, we shot WWs on a day hunt west of Devine. We actually paid to sit in a guy’s perfectly manicured Bermuda backyard between his house and barn. The WWs were plentiful. When shot, they would fall into the cut grass and some even landed on his back porch. The property owner realized we weren’t a bunch of clown Aholes and then sat with us and drank our beer and BSed with us. After the first few birds plopped to earth, he walked over and let his dogs out and they started to retrieve our birds for us. it was quite an entertaining shoot. Sweet old Ash was my new friend.11 points

Found tweets of most of the deep plays. Here's the breakdown for each. Play 1 (69 yarder): It's Cover 1 Man. Jamison is in man on the outside WR and does well until he quits on the play for no reason after he shoves the WR out of bounds. It's like he thought his man wasn't allowed to catch the ball after stepping out, which is not the rule. So a pretty big fuck up by Jamison. However, it should've been about a 35 yarder at that point. Schooler obviously fucks up majorly and gives up the remaining 30 yards. Since Schooler was in C1 and there was a deep route on the other side, you can't expect him to be there to break up the throw, but you can expect him to make the tackle. As for PK, he called C1 man on 3rd & 3. There's nothing unreasonable about the call. Play 2: It' s a little hard to tell the coverage because the camera doesn't show it the whole time and I think it was busted by Jerrin Thompson. The outside CBs are clearly playing man and they're in a technique that indicates they think they have deep help. BJ Foster drops on the other side like it's C2. If it was C1, he should've been sprinting to the middle of the field at or before the snap. Jerrin kind of looks the same at first but then gets his eyes caught in the backfield and cheats up. I think he screwed up his responsibility and let the outside WR get past him without noticing. Jamison's coverage really wasn't bad and was actually probably about right if it was C2. There, you stick to your man but play his back hip so you can jump anything short/intermediate and you rely on the safety over top to help you deep. So if I'm right on the coverage, then Jerrin fucked up massively and no one else really made a mistake. If it was C1, then Jamison played the wrong technique and should have stayed over the top of his man way more. Same goes for PK. C2 man should be one of the least susceptible to a deep ball like that. Play 3: Looks like we're playing Cover 3 based on how the top CB on the screen bails and Foster's positioning. It once again looks like a coverage bust. Josh Thompson should've had the deep third where the ball was thrown but instead was way too far up field because he was covering the outside WR at the bottom of the screen instead of trusting the play call and getting the proper depth in his zone. The offensive play is a C3 beater, and is designed to do exactly that to the outside CB. Get to bite on the outside WR, while the slot WR runs up the seam then fades to the outside so the middle safety in C3 can't get to it. Problem is, you would expect your 5th year CB to not get caught by that...unless he spent most of his career being coached by Todd Orlando. Josh Thompson screwed up massively. I'd say BJ Foster screwed up some because there was no other route to hold him middle, so he should've been faster in getting over there, even if the play ended up outside his zone. Problem is, Foster is not a rangy deep safety so he's susceptible to stuff like this. Once again for PK, he called C3 on 1st&10. Nothing really wrong with that. He didn't go full Todd Orlando and call Cover 0 on first down. So overall, I'd say there wasn't anything wrong with the scheme. We had 3 coverage busts by 3 different guys. Problem is, the coverage busts are so wide spread and there were so many that you can't reasonably write it off as a one-time thing. Our senior CBs are not playing to the level you want and they've been space cadets for years now so not a ton of reason for optimism. I'd like to see more of Dunn. He may have the same flaws, but we haven't seen them yet and he's looked pretty good when he plays. Safety is a problem. Schooler has been pretty bad at everything. Same for Foster. I'd say Jerrin Thompson is our best safety so far, but he's messed up a good bit too. It's a little like the OL. It's disappointing that our secondary is this bad and making these kinds of mistakes, but our players have received shit for coaching most of their careers, so the litmus test for this coaching staff will be how much we can improve over the course of the season.11 points

If we played Arkansas next weekend during the day at a neutral site with their QB hurt half the game, we'd win.10 points

Disagree. When the game is 11, they open the fair at or before 8, so you can actually get there before the crowd hits. When it's 2:30, everything opens at 10, and all the crowd and heat are already there. We get to the parking lot at 7, drink til 745, then head in and get 90 minutes or so of cool weather, short lines, and space to wander. It's glorious.10 points

Donovan Jackson and Brockermeyer at tackle and then flip Banks and get Neto, Campbell and Dewberry. I can't think of an easier and better plan.10 points

If Duggan can throw a deep ball like Colombi can then I'll start to worry. But he can't. This thread continues to stink of uncleansed snatch and PTSD therapy sessions. We're gonna fuck them up. Neg the shit out of me if we don't. -6 is laughable.10 points

52-24. I am usually not one to call out sandy vadges, but....there are lots of nervous Nellies with sandy vadges on this thread. This was a mediocre Frog bunch coming into the season and now they are banged up. Fat Pat's lost his fastball. SMU resurrected the Pony Express at their expense yesterday, and with talents far inferior to Eric Dickerson and CJK5H, and our running back room approaches that historic level of badassery. (Seriously, Bijan is that talented, and our backups collectively are equal to CJK5H). We've got a fucking gamer running the O and a coach who shows no inclination to turtle. We score at will in this game and the roaches won't be able to keep up. A couple of big turnovers or a special teams play early and the bloodletting will be on. Degüello. No fucking mercy.10 points

Liucci is just deflecting and trying to redirect the attention from the obvious shit show going on in BCS right now. They are going to lose a couple of more games over the next month or so, and it will be one of the most painful implosions in recent memory for that fanbase. The timing couldn't be any better due to the unsolicited raise that they gave Jimbo in one of the single stupidest contracts in NCAA history.9 points

I really like 11AM games when we win, as then the halftime of every game the rest of the day has our highlights for other fans to enjoy. If we lose well then my day is ruined.9 points

Man it seems like every time we get to this point in recruiting we shoot ourselves in the foot and fail to get over that threshold. If w e can find a way not to embarrass ourselves these next three weeks you gotta think good things will follow9 points

I said this previously and I’ll say it again. TCU fucking sucks this year. I saw the Cal game in person and if Cal wasn’t a bunch of bumbling fucktards, they roll TCU going away. TCU has some talent on offense, Duggan is capable if unspectacular, Evan’s is a fuckbeast and they have 1 good and a couple of other capable WRs. Their Oline blows though Their defense is the issue. Before the injuries, their line was just ok. Their LBs are ok but they only have 2 and zero depth… the issue is their secondary. Tomlinson is decent but the rest of them are absolute dogshit. Cal’s shit QB rained bombs on them at will. Texas will gash this TCU team at will. If we score less than 50 I’ll be both surprised and pissed off. They’ll score but not enough to keep it close. Texas by at least 3 TDs and it wouldn’t surprise me to see some Tech like scorelines and yards. Bottom line, TCU…8 points
