  1. it’s time to just ban the dogs completely. if you can’t shop without a fucking dog next to you then you need to order your shit curbside. dogs don’t belong in the grocery store.

  4. Yep. I love my dogs. Have had dogs almost my whole life. Never once have I taken them to the store( or on a plane.) Nor do they belong there. Some people in society need to abide by the word, "No." The owners always think they are well behaved. The choice should not be theirs.

  5. Texas has f’d around and is now about to find out: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/26/health/trump-state-health-grants-cuts.html The Department of Health and Human Services has abruptly canceled more than $12 billion in federal grants to states that were being used for tracking infectious diseases, mental health services, addiction treatment and other urgent health issues. The cuts are likely to further hamstring state health departments, which are already underfunded and struggling with competing demands from chronic diseases, resurgent infections like syphilis and emerging threats like bird flu. No additional activities can be conducted, and no additional costs may be incurred, as it relates to these funds,” the notices said. For some, the effect was immediate. In Lubbock, Texas, public health officials have received orders to stop work supported by three grants that helped fund the response to the widening measles outbreak there, according to Katherine Wells, the city’s director of public health. But not to worry. Sec’y Kennedy is on top of it: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/25/health/measles-kennedy-vitamin-a.html Doctors in West Texas are seeing measles patients whose illnesses have been complicated by an alternative therapy endorsed by vaccine skeptics including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health secretary. Parents in Gaines County, Texas, the center of a raging measles outbreak, have increasingly turned to supplements and unproven treatments to protect their children, many of whom are unvaccinated, against the virus. One of those supplements is cod liver oil containing vitamin A, which Mr. Kennedy has promoted as a near miraculous cure for measles. Physicians at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas, say they’ve now treated a handful of unvaccinated children who were given so much vitamin A that they had signs of liver damage. Some of them had received unsafe doses of cod liver oil and other vitamin A supplements for several weeks in an attempt to prevent a measles infection, said Dr. Summer Davies, who cares for acutely ill children at the hospital.

  7. Well fellas...Opening Day is finally here. While this team's Opening Day lineup and rotation looks very different to those of years past when I have started these threads, to all of those who are no longer in the blue and orange, and to Minute Maid Park: We will roll with the new crew on the field in the Icebox, and once again will prove that we are the class of the AL West. Cam Smith will make Dana look like a genius and will win AL ROTY. Our rotation will likely suffer countless injuries as in years past, and we will still find ways to win. As usual, the road to the AL Pennant will go through Houston. Let's go.

  9. I think Quinn excelled at a few hard to quantify things. On his one-reads, quick throws, etc., he was exceptional not a just hitting the guy but putting it in the right spot to allow for receivers to maintain momentum, keep their eyes up, and get downfield/make guys miss. It's easy to say all quarterbacks can do that, but I would be willing to bet a deep analysis would put him in the top tier of that particular skill. And I think that's part of why Sark schemed so heavily that direction (along with very fast and shifty skill guys). I also saw him make a bunch of reads for developing downfield plays that most QBs at the college level don't see/anticipate well enough to make the play. His ability to hit those shots, though, were up and down, luckily more up than down this last year (4th and 13 woo!). To me, his MAJOR flaw is navigating the pocket. It's like he plays with blinders on. Can't feel pressure, doesn't step up well, doesn't escape well, and to your point it means he gave himself very few opportunities to create, and walked into sacks WAY too often. If he learns that at the next level, I believe he has the rest of the skillset to be a creative, off-platform guy. But he never did in 3 years here, so I'll believe it when I see it.

  10. Satya gets it, I’d way rather return a bunch of production from a dogshit team so we’re good in a metric that’s pretty fucking meaningless in today’s transfer portal era rather than have 14 guys drafted and replace them with studs across the board. I feel bad for teams like tOSU and UT who were top four last year, pull in top recruiting classes every year but have low returning production because all their guys are getting developed and drafted.

  24. And the thing is that literally every liberal I've ever talked to agrees that Hillary probably should have gotten some sort of consequence for that. And Hunter Biden deserved to be investigated, and if he did anything wrong, imprisoned. And the same goes for his dad, if he was involved. But I have never heard a single Republican admit that Trump deserved any consequences, or even an investigation, for anything. My favorite thing to do with Republicans is just ask them, everything else aside, do you believe that Donald Trump is a good man? Simple yes or no, is he a decent human being, a good man? Then watch them squirm, because there isn't a Jesse Watters talking point for that, and they know they can't say, "Yes, I believe that he is." This is a serious problem. If basic integrity isn't the first test a candidate has to pass, then we are lost. If people will vote for and defend a man that they know to be a bad person simply because he gives them what they want (they believe), then we are lost. There is no bringing these people back to sanity.

  25. I will keep this short. All his bullshit will do is push our allies in business into the laps of another economic giant and isolate us on the world stage. Countries will put up with his shit for as long as it takes to create back-channels. Then they will cut the umbilical cord. These countries aren't going to allow themselves to be bullied repetitively. This is going to go down as the thing that dropped the US in world standing and pushed the dollar off the cliff.

  31. Our good buddy writin' about Spring Training. Just a few nuggets. Elko looking sharp in his slenderizing giant baby shirt. 1 I have shitty defensive coaches. I sure know how to pick 'em. Jeez. Well, not like I had a lot of applications. Think of the money. Think of the money. Think of the money. 2 I really can't go higher than a double negative endorsement of these clowns. 3 I'm giving Bateman the dreaded quadruple negative (Asshole was part of the first one) which is only a cunt hair above saying I hate him. 4 Nobody any better wants to come here. I'm fucked. If he's trying to be cryptic, he's really good at it. Where the fuck are you talking about? The game against the Bowling Green Seniors?
