  1. are some of y’all trying to be “good fans” or “objective” or something when you say that it’s the florida loss that’s keeping us out? cuz y’all know that’s not true right? it’s only been repeated 10,000 times, but if we had scheduled a cupcake week 1 we’d not only be on the playoff, but right now people would be asking if a 2-loss Texas should be ranked higher than a&m. 99% of teams out there lose unexpected conference games every year, just lay an egg on the road for one reason or another. it doesn’t matter. that’s not why we’re out. we’re out because, in the eyes of the committee, every single 2-loss team is better and more deserving than every 3-loss team. we had to play florida; we didn’t have to play the undefeated no.1 team on the road, and if we hadn’t, we’d be in solidly in the playoff field with zero questions.

  3. I threw an aggy baby out of the stadium. Then i smashed a 5 yr old aggy in the face. Would have thrown him too but I was informed that he served in Afghanistan. So I thanked him for his service and shut up.

  4. The word is that the program is ready to be very aggressive in the portal across the roster in order to maximize Manning's last season. There's been handwringing about retention and allocation for a while, but those same handwringers are now extremely bullish about being aggressive. IOL, TB, TE, WR are all priorities. There's less concern on the defensive side of the DC, although that doesn't mean they're not going to be pursuing difference makers at every spot and trying to find depth in a few places as well. I'm from Missouri on this cycle, personally. I think they're just going to cut bait on some of the higher rated, big contract guys who haven't done anything yet, whether that's premature or not being irrelevant. 2026 is supposed to be the year where it all comes together.

  6. I gave it to one aggy who was talking shit the whole game and then tried to slink away in a cowardly fashion in the 4th. His exit was not a pleasant one. I also heckled out my truck window at sad aggys shuffling down Guadalupe. I am 54.

  8. Collected on my bet tonight with aggy FIL. Loser had to hang opposing teams flag in their front yard until Christmas. He’s aggy, so he will probably cheat and take it down. He was just so confident he would win. I was more confident.

  9. Fake Army... I think my favorite moment from the stands was during their "we can march in the same straight lines and play the same songs week after week, year after year" halftime performance, some Texas fan from back behind me yells very loudly, "The guy who killed Bin Laden was a Longhorn" 🤣

  17. nobody cares about how many wins you “struggled” to get, it’s literally just “do you have two losses or three?”. a two-loss texas team with two losses in the sec gets into the playoff, end of discussion. we could have played texas state week one and won 14-13 in OT and we’d still be in playoff with that “2” on the loss column. struggling to beat a shitty team week 1 would have done us better than going toe to toe with the best team in america.

  18. Texas does not need to have a schedule harder than our peers if we are not rewarded for it. We need to play the same game everyone else is.

  23. Spare me the "just don't lose to Florida" crap. Yes, obviously that game is an issue, but like Sark said if we're 10-2 right now and never played that Ohio State game, we're in. Just a thought exercise, let's say hypothetically, Alabama loses to Georgia in the conference championship. What's the difference between Bama and Texas? Texas - bad loss to Florida Bama - very bad loss to Florida State (who just got manhandled by Florida) Texas - top 5 loss to Georgia (who lost to Bama) Bama - top 10 loss to Oklahoma (who lost to Texas) Texas - highest win vs #3 A&M Bama - highest win vs #4 Georgia Literally the only difference is that Texas played at undefeated Ohio State and Bama hosted 4-8 Wisconsin. Yet Bama will be in the playoffs and we won't (This is obviously moot if Bama wins the conference) Our resume is being punished for having the balls to choose to schedule the best teams and then go play in the most difficult conference in the country.

  24. a&m, ou, and vandy all ahead of us, and not one of them would be in the picture at all had they played tOSU week 1 like we did. this is so stupid. anyone pretending like we aren’t being directly punished for scheduling tOSU (and playing them closer than anyone else) is a liar.

  26. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I think it's really shitty that coaches can leave and be hired while the season is still in progress. Ole Miss will almost certainly have a playoff spot, but will not be near 100% without Kiffin, and with the way the portal works, his players will be distracted by recruiting and figuring out where to go next year instead of the game ahead. It's also extremely unfair to the players and fans that outside forces derail a great season. It's not the school's fault, because this is how the business is, but it would be nice if the NCAA put in a hiring moratorium for all schools until 2 days after the championship game is played. A freeze on recruiting too, and spare the portal transfers and announcements until then as well. The NFL has a similar deal where teams still active in the playoffs cannot have staff poached until they lose in order to maintain continuity and focus on quality games.
