No every game is going to be rough. We should win them all but it won't be easy.

Mack never lost post ou losses and that’s why he won 10 games every year. I would have loved to see Mack have the shot to play ou a second time.

lets see if Herman gets this team focused and pissed off to get a rematch.

He also didn't have to face (and bend over to) ou a second time every year.

We're gonna win out through regular season.  We won't beat ou unless big xii refs start calling holding.  It's literally impossible.

Unfortunately, we haven't seemed to be the same team since LSU. The o-line doesn't look the same, our kick and punt return teams are awful, Sam struggles for stretches of time, B.J. Foster looks like he's actively avoiding contact, the receivers are dropping the ball. We should come out against OU with our hair on fire, but we looked like a Mack Brown team early on. The team doesn't seem right.

Herman's teams ALWAYS fuck up and lose at least one game they shouldn't. See Maryland x2, Tech in 2017, OK St in 2018. If anyone believes Texas is a lock to play for the conference title you may want to temper your expectations to avoid being disappointed when some potential 7-5 teams pulls off an "upset".

The two losses aren't bad ones. Depending on how the rest of the conferences shake out, this could still be a playoff team if Texas wins out and beats Oklahoma in the B12 championship game.

jawja (overrated as always) helps but no way 2 loss Texas (that magically beats ou in champ game without holding being called) still gets an in at this point.  Facts homie.

Why not? Thank you Georgia for showing what we already know, that the secsecsec isn't some magical conference that deserves two teams in the CFP.....

1 Clemson if they win out

2 Bama or secsecsec champ

3 OSU if they win out or 1 loss

4  ???

Who's #4? The Pac is straight garbage and shouldn't be in the conversation. A two loss Big 12 Champ Texas gets this spot because the two losses are to top 10 teams.

Because ga won't drop out of top 10 and will ease back in on their pussy ass sec schedule.  clemson will win on their pussy ass schedule.  bama is beating up the biggest conference today and getting a free "top 25" win on the road.  nobody is beating osu except for maybe harb.....no fuck that.  Hmmmm.....lsu?  That already beat us?  fucking irish that aren't playing anything other service acadamies from here on out?

LSU gets in over a 2 loss Texas if LSU has 1 or even 2 losses.
Hell, if OU’s only loss is to Texas in the Big 12 Championship, and they can say they split the series with us with fewer overall losses and everyone is reminded of how bullshit our round robin plus a conference championship game format is anyway, OU might be ahead of us, too.

Yep, This team isn’t making the playoffs by winning out.

Exactly.  Best we can hope for is ny6.  And that's if we win out.  Being coached the way we were today, we lose to ou 10/10 in the big xii champ game.

edit: who is the mercenary senior transfer they bring in next year?

Don't be absurd. I know it's unlikely, but it's not as unbelievable as most think. Conference champ carries a lot of weight. There should be riots if they try to put two secsecsec teams in this year, while leaving two conferences completely out. The secsecsec is total dogshit this year. And putting in a team who just lost their conference to a more deserving team? Lulz no.

Like I said, it's no longer in Texas's hands, they need a little help from other conferences, but it's not as unlikely as y'all are making it....

Playoffs are over unless some crazy shit happens and sec top loses multiple games to sec bottom.

Problem with rematch in ccg is we need them to take a loss and somehow be out of the playoff picture or else the big 12 will just have the refs screw us again just like in last year's ccg. If they have a shot at playoffs if they win that game the big 12 refs won't let them lose.

I mean shit we had multiple TDs and an end zone interception called back on all bullshit penalties in last year's game. It'll happen again unless neither team has any shot at getting in the playoffs.

OU had twice the penalties, the game was still lopsided.

We ain’t good enough to act like that.  Need a killer mentality in every game.  Now we should win every game but complacency will get us beat.

Yeah,  we aren't making the playoffs. Not happening with even 2 losses. 2 losses is an improvement over 4 from a year ago, and another NY6 bowl game will carry a lot of weight. Next year our 2018 class will be uppclassmen and it's time to see what they've got. No losses to ou, and beat the shit out of lower opponents. I talked shit in the game thread because of stupid shit we did, but next year is absolutely the pivotal year to make the playoffs. We've stacked back to back to back top 5 classes and have exactly ONE team in conference that poses a threat. One. If we can't make it past them, we're in deeper shit than people imagine. Herman isn't Mack. We aren't getting blown out, but he sure af needs to go on a sabbatical and figure out what to do about Jason Washington. Players get hurt, but going from bein  All-Americans to not even understanding how to tackle is on the coach, and it's bad.
