Urban Meyer or bust

A timeline of history.

Ohio States final regular season game in 2011 was Nov 26. Urban Meyer met with team Nov 27 and introduced officially Nov 28.

If said timeline is similar he won’t accept until after last game. If Kansas does get canceled that could alter a time line.

I would prefer it to happen today/tomorrow.

This is the way I've been leaning this whole time. CDC and Urban Meyer both seem to highly value handling business professionally. I think an agreement has been made but they both decided for several reasons to hold off until the season is over. CDC doesn't want to give the appearance that he didn't give Tom a fair shake and if Urban is looking to add staff from OSU then he will be willing to wait before he stirs the hornets nest. This was the most obvious with Urban's reaction yesterday to the "ulcers in Ohio" comment. For about 10 seconds, his body language showed complete panic like someone had broke the story about him accepting the job. We're a weekend early here. I fully expect next Sunday to be the day everything goes down.

Who the fuck is “CeddyB”? Where in the last 100 pages did a new twitter handle magically arrive to push dates forward?

Well it used to be hard to tell what was real info on Twitter before they added the fact checking.  Now, if you don’t see a “This claim is disputed” type message, you can trust that it’s true.

You've been bringing the heat the past couple days.

I'm just curious what this thread will look like late Thurs. early Fri. if its business as usual all week and not a peep from Urban's camp.
If this thread lasts another week it's going to be like an extended LSD induced psychosis. Probably look something like this:

At some point between here and there, this thread will transition into a pure tinfoil hat thread. An objective non-participant could arguably read the last 100 pages and conclude that right now.

you are being facetious, right?

Snopes actually has no research department, I saw a report where one of their only "researchers/debunkers" was an ex porn star.

Well I made the mistake of wasting my life enough to get to page 408. You fucking delusional plane chasing knobs. There’s going to be a lot of pissed off people when nothing happens today and Herman finishes out the season. No one knows anything, and  Meyer hasn’t made a decision yet, and he’s going to take his time. Meanwhile CDC gets to stick to his “we always evaluate after the season is finished” narrative.

Watching you monkeys lose your minds and devolve into a quivering mass of plane speculation, Babylon 5 garbage gifs, and internet female creep is only amusing for so many days. And in the case of anything Babylon 5 related, it’s never amusing. Ever.

I strongly encourage everyone to pour a strong drink and relax on this fine Sunday morning.

Irish coffee is for closers!

The fact that some people are still calling for giving Herman another season like it’s a legitimate option just shows how many fucking spineless idiots follow this program. Idk if it’s always been this way or the apathy has crept in over the last 10 years, but giving him another year is a death sentence for this program.

As much as Urban might care about the recruiting timeline, it would be much more important to him to ensure the best possible outcome for his desired staff.  If that means giving them space and time to get who he wants, I am quite sure he would prioritize them over any recruiting considerations.

I am also optimistic, but have no information.  It's just a gut feeling.  I think the sustained silence and lack of legitimate leaks is actually a good thing.

We looked great against K State because we were largely playing K States 2nd and third string defense. True freshman walkon types were in the game at times. We will look equally as good against Kansas due to the state Beatty left that program in with scholarship numbers. Both of those teams would struggle to beat a top FCS opponent in their current state.

Maybe

I hope you're right. If so, we can expect much bitchassedness from the likes of Bohls, Davis, Klatt, and Herbie, "UT fired the HC after their two best offensive outputs of the season." Like beating either KS team by 35+ is something to hang your hat on.
