Shilo sucks.

He is the Marcus Vic of the Sanders family.   A modicum of athletic ability and a fast 40 time, without an ounce of common sense - or an upbringing that gave him an idea how decent people were supposed to act.

Same thing he did in college. If he doesn’t learn to get rid of the ball, he’s gonna have a bad time.

What was he supposed to do there? OL gets crushed with a 4 man rush, the a delayed blitz comes. He looks to climb the ladder / step up in the pocket but the pocket got collapsed. OL just kinda bounces around and did nothing. Flacco would have gotten blown up immediately, too.

Throw the ball away. That wasn’t even the worst example. He also took a 20yd sack:

The Browns starting oline isn’t exactly great either. He can’t do what he was doing in college (and it wasn’t working great in college either).

He was impressively terrible today. The stats are bad, but you have to see it to believe it.

Dillon Gabriel is the Browns' franchise QB.

Now pardon me while I go gargle bleach after praising a Sooner.

In what universe is calling someone "the Browns franchise QB" considered praise? Someone has to be the browns starting QB, just like someone had to assist Mangino with wiping his ass back in the day. That doesn't make it a particularly desirable job.

Yeah, I don't give a shit about playing stupid ass "gotcha" games with idiots on the Internet any more. Ztejas gets it; this guy doesn't, and thinks he's won something because of it. How pointless.

Winning? Winning what?

Besides, you are blocking me so I guess this is good bye.

At 2.3 yards average in passing Shadeur should have just gone full wildcat and immediately ran outside after each snap with zero intention of passing. I think he may have done slightly better.

He should have … run.

He should have not sucked so much, but he couldn’t help himself.

If the Browns keep Sanders on their 53 man roster, that is 💯% down to the guy who made the call to draft him in the first place. (The owner, I think, but maybe the GM.)

There is no way that the coaching staff wants to keep Sanders on the roster.

They’re a wonderful dysfunctional mess.

Browns cut Huntley today and are going with 4 QBs.

Shiloh had a legit reason to be somewhat pissed with that dude, but you can't do that.

Looks like he was probably not going to make the roster anyway. Probably not even a shot at their practice squad now.

Oh well...

Jerrah will probably grab him in a heartbeat if he should become available.

Shadeur will very likely be on the roster. But he's a long term project. They have two rookie projects, and they are relatively cheap to keep both, despite the roster size. Trade could be a possibility, but I don't see it happening. If they cut him to try to get him on the PS some goofy team will pick him up, and GM that drafted him wouldn't like that.

Gabriel is far more game ready, so there's a chance they may try to unload Picket, but that doesn't seem wise, either with Flacco being old AF.

Browns know they are screwed anyway, so they likely just keep four qbs and hope there is a real competition for a young quality starter next year.

They would offer him up to Jerry for a 2nd round pick, and the idiot would probably take it.

And Jerry would crow that he fleeced them because he was projected pre-draft to be a 1st rounder.

Are we talking about the same Jerrah who passed on drafting him 3 times before Cleveland drafted him?

Jerrah sucks, but not that much.

If you can't get 4 QBs down to 3 you shouldn't be running an NFL team. Most positions don't go past 2 deep on the active roster. The odds that all 4 of them are worth a shit or have a chance to be worth a shit is 0%.

Cleveland has no delusions of being particularly competitive this season, or getting through the year with Flacco staying up on two legs. Teams carry three able-bodied qb spots on the roster, but only have to have two on the active gameday roster, a third as an emergency qb, sort of a freebie that is listed among the rostered but gameday healthy inactives. That's not going to keep a shithole like Cleveland from keeping 4 on the roster. They know at least one of the veterans is likely to be either on IR or just released at some point during the season, probably sooner than later. They will carry both rookies on the roster, which is why they drafted both, to hope they hit on at least one of them. A preseason isn't going to determine which one is going to end up better or capable of being a starter at some point. It's not a terrible way to mine for a future qb, even though it's Cleveland. They drafted both to try to develop both and see what happens.

It’ll be interesting to see the reaction to whomever is the emergency QB.

Most likely Gabriel, who has been listed ahead of Sanders all preseason. Sanders started the first game due to injury, despite not having a great deal of practice because of his own health issues prior. Gabriel has from beginning seen as the more pro-ready. That doesn't mean he has the best future. Sanders is more raw.

That still not be as bad as Jerrah taking Mazi in 1st round.

Sounds like the Browns are going to roll with 4 QBs on the 53 man roster and will keep Shedeur.

Put Shedeur on the practice squad and let Jerrah outsmart hisself.
