I didn’t say anything like that. He couldn’t take the hits our QB will take every year. Unless that qb is card because I may or may not think he’s a bad fit for our offense (definitely is a horrible fit for our offense).

Scorpio’d. Jesus man. You have almost 3000 posts.

Is it considered normal aggy behavior to slander an opposition coach while at the same time being completely blind to the fact that their head coach almost killed a football player on his team due to macho stupidity, was turned into a cuck by his wife, allowed players on his team to turn school into a joke, and covered up a couple rapes? Afaf

Typical, they steal our joke about filling up on bread and misapply it. Then Love Gun get's hysterical thinking that A&M taking King has the entire football world and particular Tom Herman swooning with fear as the sleeping giant begins to thrash.

kirby-smart-nick-saban-tom-herman-020619

Saban: Kirby, Tom, will you come to Tuscaloosa and hold me. Hugging myself just isn't enough when the sleeping giant is banging on the door.

Smart: I'm on my way, Nick. I could do with hug, too.

Herman: Strippers and blow, Nick. It's the only way I can survive the Aggie momentum.

"My god, it's so painfully obvious Mensa is trying so hard to counter our momentum"

I'm sorry but what a fucking bozo. Aggy wouldn't know momentum even if it came to their house wearing a name tag, rang their doorbell, and rawdogged their favorite sheep in their living room.  Their biggest recent win is the Cotton Bowl in 2012 and they suddenly think they have "momentum". Fillinger had better offers than their newly anointed savior QB commit (who happened to be their 2nd 3rd choice at the position).

A&M recruiting: Resetting the board after 10 summer commits
VIP ByBRIAN PERRONI 21 minutes ago

Texas A&M has picked up a number of commitments since the beginning of the summer. The Aggies have added 10 new pledges in the class of 2020 since the start of June and there will likely be more soon.

With 16 commits in the class now and Jimbo Fisher and Co. set to sign the max of 25 come December and February, that leaves room for quite a few more players.

Here’s where things stand at each position going forward.

QUARTERBACK
With the commitment of Haynes King earlier this week, the Aggies got their top target at the position. The national top-100 prospect is a perfect fit for the offense and it was a huge win for A&M when he picked the in-state school over Tennessee.

With King committed, the Aggies are done at the quarterback spot in the class. They also have their quarterback pledged for the 2021 class already as four-star dual-threat Eli Stowers made a commitment earlier this month as well.

RUNNING BACK
This is a position that could become really interesting depending who wants on board down the road.

The Aggies picked up somewhat of a surprise pledge at the time from Deondre Jackson out of Georgia when he committed during his official visit last month. He is the between-the-tackles back in the class.

The Aggies are in very good shape with the nation’s No. 2 all-purpose back and No. 48 overall player Daniyel Ngata out of California. He released a final five of A&M, Arizona State, Clemson, Oklahoma State and Utah and plans to commit before the end of the summer. The only official he has been on is to Aggieland and all six Crystal Ball predictions are for A&M. Utah could be a sneaky contender there, though.

Though A&M would be very happy with a class that included both Jackson and Ngata as the only running backs in it, it won’t stop the Aggies from pursuing a couple other top targets.

North Shore’s Zachary Evans is ranked as the top running back in the country and recently made an unofficial visit to College Station before the dead period. The Aggies are very much in the thick of things for him and he has noticed the offensive talent that is committing to A&M. Evans is a long way off from a decision but A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Texas all have chances with him.

Fort Bend Marshall four-star Devon Achane is being recruited by many schools as a slot receiver, but the Aggies like him as a running back. His speed could be utilized a number of ways and he wants to play running back, giving the Aggies a bit of an edge with him.

WIDE RECEIVER
A&M has a trio of wide receiver commits with five-star Demond Demas being the one that has been committed the longest. He is up in Aggieland seemingly every weekend and is the vocal leader of the class, both publicly and behind the scenes. He will use his official visit during the Alabama game.

A&M beat out Texas and LSU last month for Fort Bend Austin national top-100 prospect Demond Demas and also went into North Carolina to land Muhsin Muhammad III.

The only other wide receiver that A&M is recruiting is Devin Price of A&M Consolidated. The son of Aggie defensive ends coach Terry Price, there is a good chance the younger Price ends up in Maroon and White.

TIGHT END
Southlake Carroll’s Blake Smith saw his stock soar this spring. The 6-foot-4, 247-pound converted quarterback picked up offers from seemingly every college that came by the school. That included A&M. After his first official visit – which was to Aggieland – he shut down his recruitment and committed to A&M, telling the other 32 schools no.

A&M would be okay if Smith is the only tight end in the class, but they are still after a couple of others.

Five-star Arik Gilbert out of Georgia made his way for an unofficial visit in the spring and A&M really would love to get him back to campus on an official. He’s a longshot at this point, though.

Athlete Eric Shaw out of Alabama camped in Aggieland this summer, working out at linebacker one day and tight end the next. He could play either, but is currently more impressive on the offensive side of the ball. He has used one official visit so far, traveling to South Carolina last month. He also likes A&M, Auburn, Florida and LSU and will likely officially visit those schools this fall.

OFFENSIVE LINE
A&M got a big pledge last month when Fort Bend Kempner four-star offensive guard Akinola Ogunbiyi flipped his commitment back to the Aggies from Georgia. He had snuck into town on both and official and unofficial visit since pledging to the Bulldogs and A&M convinced him to flip back to the school he originally committed to last summer. The 6-foot-3.5, 348-pounder is in a very run-heavy offense – Kempner only completed four passes last season – so pass pro will be an adjustment, but he is a mauler.

A&M has another commitment from Fort Bend ISD in Hightower guard Smart Chibuzo. Close friends with Ogunbiyi, the two committed at the same time last summer. Chibuzo played tackle a year ago but is moving inside as a senior and that is where he will likely play in college. He has said he might take other official visits in addition to A&M, though, so things could get interesting in terms of numbers should he risk his spot by doing so.

The Woodlands College Park guard Josh Bankhead wasted no time in committing to A&M when offered and has completely shut things down since pledging last spring.

Navasota’s Jordan Jefferson was the first class of 2020 prospect in the nation to make a commitment when he announced for the local school in February of his freshman year. However, at this point, it would be surprising if the 6-foot-1, 325-pound center prospect ended up in the class. He has mentioned playing defensive tackle as well but will not likely end up in the class at that spot either.

There are likely two more spots in the class and there are two players that have emerged as the main candidates to fill them.

Garrett Hayes out of Athens is an A&M legacy and the four-star tackle is high on the Aggies. He is not one that is huge on the recruiting process, so he does not have any officials lined up at this point and isn’t sure if he will make it to next weekend’s barbecue, but the Aggies are in good shape with him. Arkansas is the other big contender.

Though he lacks ideal height for a tackle, Memphis (Tenn.) Central national top-100 prospect Chris Morris has the length of a tackle and can play pretty much anywhere along the line. He has made unofficial visits to A&M a number of times and there are several Crystal Ball predictions in favor of the Aggies. Arkansas and in-state Tennessee are two others to watch, and he also recently visited Alabama, but A&M is in good shape.

The Aggies have not given up on Carthage four-star tackle and Arkansas commit Ty'kieast Crawford, but he’s unlikely to end up in maroon and white. New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton four-star center Sedrick Van Pran recently officially visited Aggieland but Georgia is trending with him. Clear Creek four-star tackle Chad Lindberg also took an official but he is likely headed to either Texas or Georgia.

DEFENSIVE END
A&M picked up a commitment from one of the top pass rushers in the country in May when four-star Fadil Diggs out of New Jersey chose the Aggies over Penn State. While he officially visited both Florida State and Penn State after his pledge, area recruiter Elijah Robinson has done a really good job recruiting him and he seems likely to remain in the class.

To find out the class at end, there are a few priority targets. The biggest is five-star Donell Harris of Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound pass rusher recently reclassified from the 2021 class and has A&M in his top five. He is set to be in town for the barbecue next weekend and both A&M and Georgia appear to be in the best shape for him.

Manor’s Princely Umanmielen is a player that Price really likes at strongside end and defensive coordinator Mike Elko is heavily involved with his recruitment as well. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound defender is officially visiting for the Alabama game and has a commitment date set for not long after. LSU and Texas are the other two big contenders with him but the Longhorns may not be in the picture anymore after recent pickups.

The other big in-state player is four-star Alfred Collins out of Bastrop Cedar Creek. A&M was the first school to offer him and he will also be in town officially during the Alabama weekend. However, his mom played basketball at Texas and he is high on the Longhorns as well. This will likely be an A&M/Texas battle.

Jason Harris out of Arizona has been to Aggieland unofficially and will be in town for an official the Alabama weekend. A converted basketball player, the 6-foot-7, 220-pounder has a ton of family connections to the in-state Wildcats, though, including a brother on the roster there.

DEFENSIVE TACKLE
A&M added another player from New Jersey in June when defensive tackle Isaiah Raikes committed to the Aggies, also choosing the Maroon and White over Penn State.

Not long after Raikes committed, Dallas Walker out of Georgia also did so, choosing the Aggies over Auburn, Kentucky and Tennessee. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound defender fits the mold of what the Aggies have been looking for in interior lineman as of late.

The Aggies do not necessarily need another one in the class but the one of biggest targets left is national top-100 prospect Omari Thomas of Memphis (Tenn.) Briarcrest. He made it to A&M unofficially last month and was in town for a camp last summer. It will be a battle for him, though, with the likes of Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee.

Fellow national top-100 prospect McKinnley Jackson out of Mississippi has also been to town unofficially and is supposed to be back for the barbecue next weekend. However, the former LSU commit is being pursued by almost the entire SEC and will be tough to land.

Jaquelin Roy of Baton Rouge (La.) U-High has a final three of A&M, Alabama and LSU and will announce next Friday. Right now, it looks like he will end up on the LSU commitment list again, though.

LINEBACKER
The linebacker spot is the biggest question mark at the moment. The Aggies landed a commitment last month from Kenneth Phillips III of Fort Bend Bush. After earning an offer at camp, it did not take him long to decide to play for A&M. However, the 5-foot-11.5, 205-pound defender is being recruited for a hybrid linebacker/safety role.

There are two main other targets at linebacker at the moment.

Four-star Kourt Williams of Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco is done with his five official visits and one of those was to A&M in late April. He is set to announce on July 29 and the consensus at the moment is that Ohio State is in the best position.

The Aggies also love Noah Sewell out of Orem, Utah. The 6-foot-2, 266-pound national top-50 prospect moves incredibly well for a player his size. He has been to Aggieland before and plans to officially visit this fall. The three schools he has said will for sure get officials are A&M, Georgia and Oregon. The Ducks could have the slight edge because of family ties.

Listed as a defensive end, A&M recently offered Zuriah Fisher out of Pennsylvania as a linebacker. However, he has not shown a ton of reciprocal interest just yet. A lot of people in the region expect him to end up at Pitt, but he is one to watch if the Aggies ramp up the pressure.

Matthew Roberts, who transferred to North Shore from Kansas this summer, was offered after camping in Aggieland last month. It remains to seen how hard A&M pushes, though.

St. Louis four-star Antonio Doyle had A&M as his leader before making a surprise commitment to in-state Missouri in early June and cancelling his trip to Aggieland set for a couple weeks later. He says he is solid to the Tigers but A&M is still working to get him on campus.

A&M is also still after Alabama pledge Jackson Bratton and Auburn commit Cameron Riley. The former has visited unofficially and the latter officially.

In the end, this year could go like the past two, though, where A&M targets a couple of players not currently on the radar after big senior seasons.

CORNERBACK
A&M scored a big win over Texas in early February when national top-100 cornerback Jaylon Jones of Cibolo Steele committed to the Aggies. He is a player A&M absolutely loves.

Since that time, Jones has been joined on the commitment list by four-star Joshuah Moten out of Maryland. A one-time Penn State pledge, the Aggies convinced him to officially visit this summer. He decommitted from the Nittany Lions just before that trip and, after another official to Nebraska, chose A&M earlier this month.

Aldine MacArthur four-star cornerback Joshua Eaton has a commitment date set for Aug. 6. He is set to be in town unofficially for the barbecue and his only official visit scheduled is for A&M during the Alabama weekend. The Aggies are in very good shape with him.

Should Eaton pick A&M, it would likely leave a spot for one more high school cornerback. Dontae Manning of Kansas City recently officially visited Aggieland and, not long after, the national top-100 prospect decommitted from Oklahoma. A&M is after heavily after him, though he has also received a ton of newfound interest and offers since opening things up. The Aggies like where they are, though.

The other high school prospect to watch is Ryan Watts out of Little Elm. An Oklahoma commit, A&M was one of his finalists before the four-star made a decision. The Aggies are still working on him as well.

A&M has offered a number of junior college prospects and there’s still a chance they add one in the class after evaluating some film from the coming season.

SAFETY
If A&M lands the cornerbacks that many people think they will, it could free up Jones to be able to play safety in Aggieland. He spent time there throughout the Opening Finals earlier this month and impressed pretty much everybody with how much ground he covered. Jones is also already 6-foot-1.5, 190 pounds, so he has the size to play safety in the SEC if needed.

The main in-state target is four-star Xavion Alford of Shadow Creek but Alabama is in the best shape with him right now. However, he has changed his leader a number of times already. If A&M turns out the heat on him, his relationship with Eaton could help the Aggies should the cornerback choose A&M.

Vito Tisdale out of Kentucky is also a big target and was set to visit this summer. However, he never ended up making the trip. The Aggies are still pushing but until he decides to actually visit, he is a bit of a longshot. In-state Kentucky leads for him.

Houston St. Pius wide receiver Seth Jones has seen a ton of new offers this summer and he decommitted from a very early pledge he made to Boston College. The speedster was set to likely commit to Baylor before camping in Aggieland. After working out at receiver, the Aggies asked him to come back the next day to work on defense. Despite having never played in the secondary before, he earned an offer. He is being recruited simply as a DB but his speed in the secondary is really intriguing at the safety spot. This will likely be an A&M/Baylor battle and could come down to if he wants to stay at receiver or if he wants to change positions and play in the SEC.

Jacobe Covington out of Arizona is listed as a cornerback but the 6-foot-1, 193-pound defender is likely a safety at the next level. He plans to officially visit A&M this fall and has a commitment date set for Oct. 1. Oklahoma is considered the favorite at the moment
