Last week I went to a Mexican restaurant. My wife was like/ this queso is bland. She immediately sprinkled salt and salsa into it and stirred it in. I told her about yall and she said “they sound like lunatics. Also what the fuck would be wrong with making something bland not taste bland”. I shrugged. She said/ those are probably the same fuckers that claim brisket can’t be made in an oven. I said- yep- lot of overlap in that Venn diagram of douchebaggery.

How’s she feel about kolaches?

Last weekend I was out in a rural area near San Angelo in the early evening when a wild cat flashed across our suv as we were traveling down the highway. We got a great look at it, but spent 20 minutes debating whether it was a mountain lion or large bobcat because, strangely, it had characteristics of both. I know both well from previous encounters, but nevertheless spent ten minutes comparing pics of the two on my phone just to be sure. We finally concluded it had to be a bobcat.

20 minutes later as we were driving down an isolated road a mountain lion casually crossed the road in front of us and walked into the brush, giving us a perfect view. Very strange evening. No one in that area had seen a mountain lion except for one lady transplant who had said she’d seen one,  but had been ridiculed over it.

And now to come back from a round of golf to Atkinson and cat facts. I should have known. It was destiny.

The way you downplay your behavior is never not funny to me. What you committed that day was an atrocity and I cannot unsee it. It still sends shivers down my spine, 4 years to more or less the day later.

Also, I am not a brisket snob. I know there are a lot here, but I am not one of them. I love BBQ and I am easy to please with it. Lincoln Riley's brisket can get fucked, but inside of that is still a lot of good shit that people here hate on in the food forum.

Don't sleep on @Auburn either. I "feel" like they tend to struggle at Jordan-Hare, but I didn't fact check that feeling. Regardless, Auburn isn't getting any benefit of the doubt from anyone heading into this season. That doesn't bother me and I pretty much enjoy it, but it's foolhardy. I know Freeze has been ass there, but still.

They have a great WR corps led by Singleton. They return their entire starting OL. Jackson Arnold should be decent in a better scheme, given his running ability. They're going to field an above average defense, led by the overhyped Edge Faulk. They return most of the secondary. Auburn is coming off of a bye week as well. That's absolutely a game that Freeze could prepare for all the way back to this past spring in an effort to cool off his seat.

I know you're a truly dim bulb, so this may not make a dent, but the guy didn't predict wins. He referenced what he thought were the most losable games for Georgia.

Georgia has a mid QB with 2 games of experience, 1 OL returnee, and only 3 returning starters across the offense. They also have to replace multiple draft picks on the defensive side of the ball. Mike Bobo is still the OC and they have a burgeoning culture problem. They're not going to show up and just be better than everybody on their schedule due to their attrition and greater parity.

Further, Alabama beat them last year and returns more. So even the basics of your post are off base.

Thank you for understanding that I wasn't predicting Georgia's losses, but just the 6 games that are losable.  Bc the other half of their schedule is a joke

In terms of flips, here are my thoughts:

Just General Recruitments Against Other Legit Programs:

-Johnson is going to continue to be a target with a big offer until signing day. Texas was at least as competitive on the offer as anyone.

-Lee didn't get Texas' best shot at an offer due to the Ojo bullshit. That said, Moore has access to Larry Ellison. I assume it's not just the matter of sweetening an offer. The OTF guys seem to have some optimism on this one.

Will the Season Results Matter?:

-Bowman justifiably took an offer that what was absurd. Does another poor performance from Riley make money disappear for this class at USC? Texas was the pick before USC changed the numbers.

-Winston - see Bowman.

-Guervil - Sun Belt Billy has been given everything he's asked in recruiting this cycle and part of that was a crazy offer to Guervil. Like Riley, does mediocre season performance pull any of this money back at Florida?

-Kent - See Guervil.

-Edwards, Krempin, and Roseborough - The Elk is selling a big season to recruits, his admin and his benefactors. If it's another Texas 8&4 or worse, does this cause any hollowing of the class? Does Texas stay interested in these 3?

-I am not sure how interested Texas really was in Tico Crittenden, but he's committed to FSU. They're going to be mediocre again this year. Not 2-10 terrible, but something disappointing to the $$ at FSU. If that guy has a good season and Texas still wants another DT, do they work this one?

-Kreul hasn't committed to OU yet, but I've been working under the assumption that he does. I expect OU to surprise many people and have a decent season. Is that enough to keep the guy if Texas is playing for it all and/or winning it all? If OU falls apart again, this guy would be an easy target and their most valuable recruit. (OU is currently ranked in the 30s, their boards are panicking, and they're not in on many high quality recruits remaining. It's a pleasure to witness.)

I Fucking Doubt It:

-Ojo - fuck him. They are allegedly done with that one.

-Finley - ND will be good and they put more on the table and he and his dad want the max they could get.

-Lott - right.

-Utu - Allegedly the Ojo recruitment ruined Texas' chances here as well. Bama really wanted the guy and Texas wasn't pushing all in at the time.

Imo, It's highly unlikely the aggie donors will pull back on their Nil even if Elko goes 8&4 again. Now next season if he's still on the 8&4 train, they will for sure flush the turd and move on to their next "best new corch in 'Merica" bullshit.

Congrats on not being in the brisket circle of tedious jerkoff ness.
I don’t understand how in a world where total is basically made for Velveeta and chuys sells the amazing queso compuesto and Papasitos puts beef in their queso dressing up bland overly cheesy queso is problematic but it’s fine if you narrow your mind to goodness in life. I’m just happy you are there to support SC as a cat guy. It’s brave but necessary step for more people to come out of that particular closet. It’s a good day.

Wait wait wait

Is rotel in Velveeta not acceptable anymore? Bc that's a staple of all trips to the lake/river/beach.

Torchy's, for as much as their tortillas are garbage, also puts guac and their Diablo in the queso.

I think they misinterpreted "committing third after Griffin and Rouse" to "3rd on our board"

They’re fuckwits. From Georgia. But they didn’t GO to school at Georgia.

Regarding the potential flips, the one that I'm most interested in is Lee. I felt like he was the better OT at the time, but in Flood I trust. Since Ojo is no longer in the equation I'd love to see them re-engage with him.

Anyone else would be gravy, including James Johnson. On the topic of DL though, have any of the $9.95ers mentioned smoked regarding that DT Sone who Mr.Sone brought up last night? Seems odd that an uncommitted high 4star DL isn't getting any traction with our $9.95ers if there's "smoke."

You forgot option C. What you saw crossing the road was obviously a fuck lion. The prophecy was foretold.

There’s a massive gulf between the tedious jerkoff and thinking an acceptable brisket can be made in the oven

As far as garbage tortillas go, Taco Deli's soggy patches of rubber are worse than Torchy's.  Lulz.

Guys, you’re falling into a Wulaw trap here. Of course rotel is fine. I have Pappasito’s queso with ground beef in my fridge as I type this. None of that is related to what multiple posters witnessed and have attested to on this site.

This guy took 1 part queso and 3 parts salsa, mixed them into the salsa bowl with his finger and then went to work on a bowl of chips. I dare you to attempt that combo and stay composed the next time you go to a tex mex restaurant.  Like I said, the man committed a culinary atrocity and should be prosecuted for war crimes.

@SydneyCarton @RGBIII @Cocinero

We sorted this out- I would never fucking do that with my finger. I used a chip as RG 3 confirmed. And it was salsa into queso. I’ve done this 100 times in my life/ that’s how it’s done, always salsa into queso.

But do you squeeze Parkay into your salsa first?

I don’t know what Parkay is.
I’m surprised that they are telling the story that I stirred with my finger instead of my dong. If you are going to make something up go all the way. Say I did it after crawling out of the sex tent!
