I mean, the Cupcake Guys may choose not to give him an interview because of this....

Nobody cares about the immature exploits of a teenager.  But, fuck @satyanash for being an insufferable prick.

How many receivers is Sark going to take? The 5 star kid Bishop is most likely to end up at receiver. We already have 2 others in the class in Brown and Stewart. We took 4 last year who will be true freshmen. We don't graduate any scholarship receivers after this coming season.

Finley just wasn't a necessity at all. So he got low balled.

Not sure what you for a living, but if I tweeted that out it would be one long ass discussion. UT has ~47B endowment. Massive alumni. Corporations dont care, but you never know if the guy you are asking money or business from is a batshit crazy UT fan. This has been beaten to death and not recruit related, so I am bowing out.

Nothing if you become a manager at Walmart. If you get into finance, especially managing money, there is a good chance you will run into them.

You're taking some silly college football smack talk so stuffily you're almost literally harumphing. They're going to Notre Dame, they'll be fine, and we get to happily and wholeheartedly cheer against them both.

(Also, Jesus, I'm double their age and haven't heard of half of those guys. No teenager care about players from the 50s).

You get reductive sometimes and this is one of those instances. You’re being dismissive on something real and also ridiculous in your claims about your own knowledge of football history.

Very true. Most on here never had to worry about their teen years being documented. I would be cleaning bathroom stalls if that was the case. Just saying kids need to be more intentional these days.

I agree with your takes here.

I have chosen not hire north of 100 people over the years because they came across as buffoons on social media, even if it was shit from high school. Beyond that, we’ve chosen not to even consider candidates from shithole opponents including OU, Baylor, and LSU. Petty? Maybe. Or maybe I like to like the people I work with and if you’re going to show me you’re a dislikable yapping dumbass, you can go elsewhere.

Having dealt with other folks qualifying as unhealthy diehards the past few years, I can say that there are folks involved with hiring thousands of people between them who are far more extreme than my views on this shit.

Fuck off, Fred recruited great until the rest of the SWC decided to cheat their asses off.  Even when he first got the job and the pissed off Campbell for HC donors he recruited great.  That in spite of said donors calling up recruits like Anthony Carter and Joey Browner the night before they were going to commit to the Horns and talking shit about the program.

Wait.  I've been a Vikings fan all my life and you are telling me that Anthony Carter and Joey Browner could have been Longhorns too?  Damn.  I wish that happened.

Yeah, that cap toss move wasn't cool.  Hopefully someone got in his ear and/or face after he did it.  But I still think it's relatively uncommon (and classy) for a recruit to post complimentary things about the schools he decided not to attend after the decision is made public.

Did anyone happen to see Reveilli’s face during the last part of that post?

I’d love to know her reaction and how well she gets along with Kaydon.

carry on. Respect.

Gonna need some details on this perplexing dick bacon. Not because I like dick (nttiawwt) but because I like chicks who like bacon (no Vic, nttiawwt either) and because my friend was asking about it.. for science..

Reminds me of an old quote that is pertinent to this discussion. "Be careful whose toes you step on today, they may be attached to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow."

Someone probably did and the post-commitment statement was just damage control

The first thing a company will do is look through your social media before hiring you. The comment is not that it is likely to have an effect on a job opportunity, but how can this help you? There is a reason I tell my children not to post stupid shit on social media. It only takes one little angry man in HR to get upset about a post to for you to miss out on an opportunity. Again risk vs reward.

I don't think they will have to worry about posting their resume to linkedin

Was thinking the same thing.  It's possible.

18YO kids sometimes do stupid things.  It's possible (even common) for a youngster to do something stupid, and then make amends a minute later, esp. if someone has hauled them over to the curb about their stupidity so to speak.  Not sure what happened with Finley.  Hopefully he realizes that some of his actions weren't appropriate.

He wasn't raised right. If my son disrespected my alma mater that was responsible for what I have accomplished in life, including giving him a good life, I would have considered myself a failure as a parent. This was completely uncalled for.

Maybe it's different for you, but I always speak highly of my alma maters (Texas and UChicago) to my kids. They may choose other schools, but they are not going to disrespect them.

It's so classy when someone makes you do it. You're applying the standard expectation of a four year old to a high school senior, and "wasn't cool" is soft-playing what he did which was very "intentional".

Yes, I would because that would be disrespectful to me. What this kid did was worse than what the Brocks did who chose not to play for Tom fucking Herman when the program was in terrible shape. They didn't insult Texas, yet they are universally hated by Texas fans but we give Finneys a pass?

Bunch of people in here who like it when a girl pens a whole paragraph about how much it's not you, it's her when she breaks up with them. It's weird shit, especially as a public post.

Hey everybody, I just pissed down your backs, but really it's only rain. Now would some of the apologists amongst you be so good as to mop the mess up for me? Huggs and kisses!
