I guess we will find out just how good this whiz kid offensive co-ordinator is without his starting quarterback.

If he can somehow meld together a somewhat effective offensive with Hawkins at quarterback he is worth every penny, but based upon on the Palouse's version of Johnny Football still has shitty footwork, shitty progressions, and shitty decision making after working with him a couple of years this could be very interesting with Hawkins.

This really shouldn’t require explanation. Those mother fuckers are the luckiest sons of bitches and when they win and win again bad shit happens. There is no boomer sooner rollercoaster meme for a reason. And any mother fucker that needs this principle explained, that you never ever cheer for OU, is a USDA Prime Imbecile.

It wasn’t hard to know what was coming. We’d seen it plenty. Rooting for OU only made you end up feeling like an idiot, or should have.  You sound like one of the guys trying to reason with us that day at BW3. Just wrong and confused and rationalizing anyway. Wrong wrong wrong.

Never cheer for OU, ever. If OU is playing the Taliban, I’m wearing a turban or whatever the fuck garb they’ve got going. If Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, Mao and Mussolini have been summoned by Satan on the opposing sidelines to lead the charge against the sooners, I’m face painted with a pentagram and swearing allegiance to the Prince of Darkness.

Never cheer for OU.

While I generally share the sentiment about OU, the fact remains that the ONLY chance we had was for Tech to lose. Period. I wanted Texas to win the MNC and I was astute enough to realize OU had to beat Tech for that to happen. I sure didn't want Tech to look like West Texas roadkill and for OU to win in a blowout, which is what happened. Even then,  the final BCS result was microscopically thin. I rooted for the only outcome which could help Texas, a Tech loss. I didn't feel like an idiot then nor do I feel like one now.

Tech was undefeated and would have been the South Division champs if they beat OU  leaving us on the outside looking in.  We needed Tech to win to force the three way tie. One of the only times in my life I rooted for OU.

Two things:

1. who you root for doesn’t affect the game, unless you’re on the officiating crew. So, why pull for OU?
2. Tech could win, and lose to Missouri in the B12 CG and Texas could be voted into the BCS CG above them.

You may not feel like an idiot, but we’re all pointing and laughing at you looking like one on this anyway.

Parker Livingstone disagrees.

My urologist is named Dr. Dick. True story. It was his destiny I guess.

Dr Payne clipped my ball sack 15 years ago on a Friday. I was on Caddo Lake fishing Sunday so, you know, not really that intimidating.

I wasn’t laughing, I was throwing shit at Barry Switzer on the fucking announcement show.

He saw me shoot him and Bosworth the double bird one time. A treasured memory of mine.

@Magus Ossis don't you know a few things about hands?

Okay, I’ll go. Not a doctor but just experienced first hand some trauma for someone right in the same body region.

My middle son just broke his forearm at the wrist in the most Tim Krumrie/Joe Theisman fashion possible. Nothing but skin and tendon holding his hand to his body. 11 Y0 in warmups for his first tackle football game ever. Gruesome shit they wouldn’t replay on a telecast.

Took the ER room with 4 people to make 4 attempts before successfully resetting it, per an ER doc. We weren’t in there while they did it. That was on a Friday night. The recommended orthopedist saw us on Monday morning, he had surgery with a pin placement on Tuesday, and they put him in a hard cast 8 days later. That was last Wednesday. If everything is okay, he gets the cast removed in 3 more weeks and then has 2-4 weeks of rehab and can go back to baseball and basketball if he’s pain free.

Anyone saying Mateer will be back in 3-4 weeks is completely full of shit. Bet the over.

Sorry didn't log in for a spell. Preliminary de rigueur never happy about injury to a person but haha to OU. Will OU try to play Mateer in a month? Maybe. Is he stupid enough to play then? Unlikely. Will his fracture be healed? No. It will not. I am unsure exactly the nature of his fracture, but if the rumors that it is a thumb fracture requiring surgery are true, I have a hard time imagining myself letting him throw within the first six weeks.

Sorry about your kid, CTJ. Average non-ortho, even ER, docs are bad at reducing all but the easiest chip-shot fractures. Kids with open growth plates heal about twice as fast as healthy young adults as a general rule. If the kid has a mid-forearm fracture, it won't be full strength until at least 6 months, but it should heal decently on the schedule you mentioned. Fractures closer to the wrist are solid once healed.

It's been 16 years since we beat blOU in back-to-back seasons and retained the Golden Hat.

I don't care if a tornado sweeps away blOU's entire QB room and they have to slap a helmet on some random methhead under a Norman overpass. We need to fucking beat them.

God that was painful to read. We haven’t beaten them back to back since I was in high school…

Didn't Leach rank OU several spots above us, giving them the fraction of a point they needed to play in the B12CG? I've never understood the love affair with him on Texas message boards.

Because he said stuff about Aggie that is it.

I'm trying to figure what this means. What does Livingstone have to do with the 2008 football season? Wasn't he like two at the time?

I believe he's attempting to say CTJ doesn't know shit, and his opinions are bad, because Parker Livignstone is the best WR in the country.
