AOC supports the 'decolonization process' of Puerto Rico following governor's resignation

Agree with AOC. Time to cut the cord and let PR be an independent nation

Well, if we're going to continue to treat PR the way Trump has, then yes.

Preface my ensuing remarks with I am a member of neither party.

THE GODDAMNED PRESIDENT WAS OKAY GRABBING WOMEN BY THE PUSSY. If that is not enough the president was PAYING OFF A PORN ACTRESS RIGHT BEFORE THE 2016 ELECTION to keep quiet about him. De-program your brain and stop posting stupid shit. I do not give two fucks about your party. Just stop with your partisan posts while pretending to care about the country you live in.

Hillary and Bill Clinton had absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump winning the Republican nomination for POTUS.  This silly blame-shifting is just part of the playbook.

No but hillary handed him the presidency. Trump was the only Rep. that coulda beat her. And yes he played it like an asshole but its what had ro happen for him to win.
As for PR, yes, I agree with AOC (and Trump) cut them off the tit.
They will fall into further dispair and a more corrupt mess.

Good for them.  I think Pelosi has made a mistake not going for impeachment, and I think that time is passed, so that irks me.  AOC gets on my nerves but she's a firecracker so you go girl.

The folks on the other side of the aisle have shown themselves to be devoid of any sort of ethical compass and seem willing to chose disloyalty to country over disloyalty to Trump, so I know who I'm cheering on.

On Pelosi - I'll continue to give her a pass on impeachment; let the evidence continue to mount.

On AOC - With you 100%.  Reminds me of coaching 13-15 yr old basketball where I would rather have a player that goes 100mph out of control rather than the player that's always deliberate.  If they are coachable,  you can teach control;  otoh, can't teach speed and effort.

On the other side - Spot on and remember kids,  45 Es Un Titere.

AOC really shows up the Aggie in the GOP. One of 'em stays up all night consulting with the network about something stunning to say to the evil t-sip. They put together something clunky. Exhausted but satisfied with bags under their eyes, they launch the clumsy attack.

Two seconds later, BOOM.

Yeah, not to mention neither Dick or Liz Cheney served.  DIck got a draft deferment for Viet Nam because he had more important things to do than go to war.

Where do you grab women? Do you get your rocks off and leave? Do you realize Kennedy had many, many women, some at the same time, coming in and out of the White House? Why do you hold such an prudish, neovictorian attitude about the office of the president? There was nothing left to despoil.

Don't even get me started on LBJ. We could also talk about Clinton if you'd like.

You can be a member of no party and still share the common delusion that the president is a role model or a moral leader. That's not what Presidents do. They're wholly unsuited to those roles.

Liz Cheney’s views are her father’s. It reminds me of when Pat Dye said of Condi Rice, when learning she’d be on the CFP Committee “the only thing she knows about football is what someone else told her.”

The only thing Liz Cheney knows about politics is what her father told her. AOC isn’t questioning her right to speak like Cotton is with that insipid first paragraph. She’s contesting, as I am, the idea that Liz is an “independent woman.” She may be on a number of fronts, but political opinion is not one of them.

In deference to Mr. Cotton, Liz’ shit is a learned behavior. His being completely incapable of rendering a single correct/honest statement is genetic. It has to be. He does this shit on a pathological level. His whole life is an inverse version of that scene in Liar Liar where Jim Carrey is trying to say that a blue pen is red. In this case, Cotton wants to say that the blue pen is blue, but the word “red” keeps escaping his mouth.

To be clear, you approve of the grabbing pussy aspect of Trump that has led more than a dozen women to accuse him of sexual assault, another to describe a rape, and another to describe rape as a girl?

Further, are you absolving any President of the United States of having a moral standard by which to be judged fit for office?

Please answer those questions.

"Answers" that don't count:

  1. Firing a question back at me about the Dems you name.
  2. Saying you're just asking questions to hunt out hypocrisy.
  3. Returning to any form of both sides argument when a question is clearly put to you specifically.
  4. Changing the subject altogether.

This is your chance to actually express what you believe rather than throw a bomb. It's Hammer Time!

Let me point out it surprises me not one bit that a troglodyte such as yourself doesn't understand the difference between consensual sex and sexual assault.

Priceless to hear a R using Clinton's BJ to fortify the legitimacy of a R president.

The party that's okay with receiving aid from an enemy and obstructing the subsequent investigation, but not okay with BJs in the Oval Office alcove.

Define "they let you".

Hey bag of hammers - you seem to have missed RV’s post.

OK I read it. The moral standard was "not Hillary". That was the only choice, correct?

You can be a good president and an immoral person. That I would even need to point this out is absurd, but absurdity abounds amongst the Surlistani villagers.

"They let you" means they don't report it to authorities.  It's a characterization from the point of view of the predator who is bragging about what he gets away with.   Supported by, and supporting, allegations from 17+ of his victims, including a sworn statement years before the tapes came out from a woman who said Trump grabbed her by the pussy without consent.   Supported by the fact that he said he grabs first, out of the blue, without any signal of consent.   Supported by his statement in the same conversation that "I don't even wait" for consent before forcing himself on them.
