You could tell the batter was waiting on that changeup. Two fastballs for strikes. Should've stayed with it. Went changeup and HR.

3rd HR of the year...

I just want to see what the coach does if Canady has to throw another 40 pitches and then starts the next game but sooners have an issue with Landry at 117 pitches too.

Her changeup has been a significant out pitch in the WCWS.

The best way to hit her, imo, is try to figure out in what situations they like to throw the changeup and hunt it. There are not very many batters where she blows 3 fastballs/riseballs right by you (although she certainly can). She keeps you off guard by mixing speeds... Hunt the changeup.

Stupid question because of softball ignorance. If they would have played again tonight would Nijaree have pitched the whole game again?

Maybe/probably.

Oh, all those ex ou players in the stands are going to be so sad.

I guess $1,000,000 can buy a WCWS appearance

I'll comfort Landry

I’m still in line to comfort Pickens

She would have started, and pitches as long as she was effective.

Well Horns, it was fun rooting against Ou together. Good times.

But that is now in the past. And I’m going to play dirty. I’m going to kick yall below the belt.

May Ted Cruz show up in person for the games in OKC wearing his burnt orange.

Funny how that works out -

We were all so convinced the committee would match us with Tech in the supers for the eyeballs

Instead, it’s for all the marbles as the two teams who went 3-0 in their bracketsb

And have only given up 2 runs each total in 3 games, all to Oklahoma.

What makes you think he wouldn’t be wearing red and black?  He doesn’t get the opportunity often, and Lubbock/west Texas is his kind of people.

Crazy that Sam Landry and Sophia Simpson pitched for the same high school team. That's so much talent.

Barbers Hill is a hot bed of pitching talent. Why? I don’t know

Wow, that's insane commitment from a teen AND parent both.

----------

"After middle school, Atwood joined the Houston-based travel program Hotshots Premier, which was nearly four hours from home. For the next four years, her parents shuttled her around for games and practices. When Atwood was in a hitting slump, she'd get in the car with her dad and go see Hotshots coach Nathan Nelson for an emergency hitting lesson. The distance never mattered.
"I'd pick her up from school at 3:30 and I'd drive almost four hours for a one-hour session," Geoff said. "She'd be doing her homework in the back of the car and we wouldn't get home until midnight. That's how committed and in love with the sport Reese was. As a parent, I was going to do everything I could to help her fulfill her dreams and support her."

Reese and her dad might need to road trip to Houston tomorrow to pay a visit to Mr Nelson. She’s hitless so far in the CWS and we  need her to step up.
