I was talking about having to put our starters back in when we were up 31 points.

I’m aware.

The shitty rebounding is unbelievable.

Over the back stopped being a thing

i've been doing my best to avoid this thread during the series as i just can't handle all the hot takes that come game by game, so forgive the drive by comment but i think this series has shown that we've definitely got some guys who can be pieces on contending teams over the next 5-10 years.  some of those guys will probably be on contending teams that are not the Rockets as I do expect a big trade to happen at some point relatively soon, but Sengun, Amen, Jabari, Tari, and Jalen have all had moments (some more than others) throughout the series that made me think they can be real pieces.  the issue with them remains the same issue everyone has previously identified, i'm just not sure there is a future #1 player on a title contending team amongst them.

i love how they've competed throughout the series and am slighlty optimistic that they can win tomorrow night and force a game 7 back in Houston.  and of course, fuck draymond green.

Another PG you could add to the list of targets is Dennis Schröder. He would be a cheap option to add as a backup PG who would get a lot of minutes in the regular season, and be in the playoff rotation.  Maybe even a Fred replacement if they deal him for KD or something.

Yep. Solid veteran rotation piece with plenty of playoff experience.

Would love for Shepard to make a big jump this offseason. I know he didn't play many minutes in his 1 year at Kentucky and it takes time to adjust. But we need him sooner than later.

The most demoralizing plays in this series have been when Steph/Jimmy are shut down defensively and then one of the "others" still knocks down a three.  And they have like three or four guys that can consistently do that.  Reed might never be an alpha out there, but I have no reason to think he can't be a guy that consistently makes the other team pay for overcommitting on the top options - and there's high value in that.

i expect that Cam will be included in whatever trade happens this summer.  to me, he's the most expendable of all the young guys and he's obviously not happy with his role on this team.

I may be in the minority, but I like Cam and if the Rockets can get something of real value by including Jalen Green in a trade, I wouldn't be heart broken if Cam were given a chance at the streaky athletic scorer role post-Green. Everyone is so eager to give up the PHX draft picks, but those are currency that will extend the window of this team. Giving them away for an aging star is putting all the chips on the table for the short term. I don't know what some combination of FVV and Green could get you to build around Sengun, Amen, Jabari, Eason, and if we keep them Cam, Brooks, and Reed.
