ICE is now arresting people for asking to see a warrant. NYC City Comptroller was arrested by ICE for walking an immigrant home from court. Of course the secret police were wearing facemasks and covering their badge numbers. For all we know, this elected official was just disappeared by random street goons.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jun/17/brad-lander-arrested-new-york-city-comptroller

Additional footage of the arrest shows Lander telling immigration officials: “I’m not obstructing. I’m standing right here in the hallway. I asked to see the judicial warrant.

“You don‘t have the authority to arrest US citizens asking for a judicial warrant,” Lander can be heard saying.

The officials, two of which were wearing masks, then pinned Lander to a wall and put him in handcuffs. It remains unclear why he was arrested.

I’m getting sick of reading this line in media coverage. We know exactly why these arrests are happening.

Yeah, same.

But they won't ever say it.  They like their access too much

AP and maybe Reuters are the only journalistic entities with any balls anymore.

Avila was detained May 7 at San Francisco International Airport after returning from Japan. The 66-year-old has been a legal permanent resident since 1967, when he immigrated to the United States from Mexico. He was returning from the trip with his wife, who had not been detained.

According to a GoFundMe page, his wife, four children and six grandchildren are all U.S. citizens, including his son, who serves in the U.S. Air Force.

A longtime resident of San Diego, Avila has worked as a legal assistant at the workers' compensation law firm Kiwan & Chambers APC for over a decade. Colleagues from the firm organized the fundraiser.

Newsweek reached out to Avila's employer, Kiwan & Chambers APC, for comment via email on Wednesday.

Avila's daughter, Carina Mejia, told local outlet ABC 10 News that her father was pulled over in 2009 and arrested for a DUI and drug possession misdemeanor. He served his time and paid the fines for the misdemeanors. She said he has been able to renew his green card two times since that arrest.

In a Tuesday update, the organizers noted that Avila has been transferred to an ICE detention center outside of Bakersfield, California.

I don't know the ins-and-outs of this guy's life, but he's been a permanent resident since 1967 and hasn't applied for citizenship?

Why would he need to? You have plenty of ex-pats living in foreign countries as perm residents that aren't citizens. It isn't really that unusual.

Because unless you lived under a rock from 2015-2021 and again in 2023-24, you knew you were going to be severely targeted by the incoming administration?

Other countries aren’t targeted tax paying permanent residents like the U.S. Gestapo

I mean I get it, but that is a slight different question. Until 2016, there wasn't any reason for the guy to consider it. He had 40 years of it not mattering.

I mean....imagine truthfully stating a scenario in which:

- men in disguises, displaying no badges or other legitimate identification as actual law enforcement, refuse to identify themselves, and are just driving up and grabbing people and tossing them into vans.

- those same men are pulling over people based solely on their ethnic appearance, saying they "meet the description of someone I'm looking for."

- those same men are detaining, arresting, and even disappearing US citizens without actual charges, or allowing them access to counsel or even to inform their families where they are.

- those same men are doing these activities in homes, schools, church parking lots, and the like.

- they are doing so in furtherance of a policy where its proponents have stated that all 65 million members of an entire ethnicity are not entitled to exist within the United States (I'm not making this one up, by the way - one of the president's chief advisors, Laura Loomer, said flatly that there are 65 million illegals in the US -- that number is the number of all hispanics in the US)

- authorities are gathering records of all individuals who speak a language other than the preferred language of the regime (again, yes, this is actually happening) for the purpose of arresting such people

and saying that was happening in the People's Republic of Bumfuckistan, and all of our resident FREEDOM LIBERTY EAGLE FREEDOM LIBERTARIAN crowd would be saying "see, that's a shithole country, that's exactly the kind of shit we are ever-vigilant against, and it's why I carry my pew pew bang everywhere I go, no way am I gonna let that shit happen here!"

Yet when it happens here.....every one of them lets that shit happen, and in fact cheers it on.

The greatest political lie of the last 75 years is "I'm a libertarian."  Fuck that, they were all always just fascists who dressed sloppy.

Local television news interview with one of the guys from the Home Depot incident in LA:

US citizen speaks out after being detained by ICE in Hollywood

LOS ANGELES - A US citizen, who said he was among 30 people who were detained by federal agents during a raid in Hollywood, is speaking out.

37-year-old Job Garcia told FOX 11's Susan Hirasunsa that he was making a delivery to The Home Depot when he saw vehicles pull in and block the exits to prevent people from driving away. That's when he started recording on his phone as he witnessed the tactics agents used to detain day laborers.

Eventually. Garcia found himself in ICE custody.

Oooh heres some good crimes against humanity! Withholding water in the sweltering Texas summer. A classic recently codified into law!

https://apnews.com/article/migrants-child-supervision-texas-e4994b2b6786717ea79a4be230e476bf

One mother was told she would have to use tap water for formula for her 9-month-old, who had diarrhea for three days after, and a 16-year-old girl described people scrambling over each other for water.

“We don’t get enough water. They put out a little case of water, and everyone has to run for it,” said the declaration from the girl held with her mother and two younger siblings at the Karnes County Immigration Processing Center. “An adult here even pushed my little sister out of the way to get to the water first.”

Here's some top-shelf cruelty. Unfortunately, it sounds like this poor guy voted for it to happen to himself.

ICE detains Marine Corps veteran's wife who was still breastfeeding their baby

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Marine Corps veteran Adrian Clouatre doesn't know how to tell his children where their mother went after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers detained her last month.

When his nearly 2-year-old son Noah asks for his mother before bed, Clouatre just tells him, “Mama will be back soon.” When his 3-month-old, breastfeeding daughter Lyn is hungry, he gives her a bottle of baby formula instead. He’s worried how his newborn will bond with her mother absent skin-to-skin contact.

His wife, Paola, is one of tens of thousands of people in custody and facing deportation as the Trump administration pushes for immigration officers to arrest 3,000 people a day.

Even as Marine Corps recruiters promote enlistment as protection for families lacking legal status, directives for strict immigrant enforcement have cast away practices of deference previously afforded to military families, immigration law experts say. The federal agency tasked with helping military family members gain legal status now refers them for deportation, government memos show.

To visit his wife, Adrian Clouatre has to make an eight-hour round trip from their home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to a rural ICE detention center in Monroe. Clouatre, who qualifies as a service-disabled veteran, goes every chance he can get.

Paola Clouatre, a 25-year-old Mexican national whose mother brought her into the country seeking asylum more than a decade ago, met Adrian Clouatre, 26, at a southern California nightclub during the final months of his five years of military service in 2022. Within a year, they had tattooed each other's names on their arms.

After they married in 2024, Paola Clouatre sought a green card to legally live and work in the U.S. Adrian Clouatre said he is “not a very political person” but believes his wife deserved to live legally in the U.S.

“I’m all for ‘get the criminals out of the country,’ right?" he said. "But the people that are here working hard, especially the ones married to Americans — I mean, that’s always been a way to secure a green card.”

I understand what you're saying.  My wife was here for decades as a permanent resident, but after the first Trump term ended, we quickly got her naturalized.   While I'm relieved about it with everything going on now, I also wonder if we've just trapped her on a sinking ship.

Purple Heart Army veteran self-deports after nearly 50 years in the U.S.

For 55-year-old U.S. Army veteran Sae Joon Park, this was the hardest moment of his life. Not getting shot in combat. Not the years battling post-traumatic stress disorder or addiction. Not prison. It was leaving the U.S., a country he called home for nearly five decades.

On Monday, Park, a green-card holder, self-deported to South Korea. His removal order was the result of charges related to drug possession and failure to appear in court from over 15 years ago — offenses that, he said, stemmed from years of untreated PTSD.

Park's story reflects both the challenges of life after combat and the perils that noncitizen veterans face if caught in the legal system — realities made harsher amid the Trump administration's push for record deportations.

" I can't believe that this is happening in America," Park told NPR in an interview prior to his departure. "That blows me away, like a country that I fought for."

Six year old with leukemiua at immigration court? ICE ICE BABY!

https://www.tpr.org/border-immigration/2025-06-25/ice-arrested-a-6-year-old-boy-with-leukemia-at-immigration-court-his-family-is-suing

A Honduran mother and her two children — ages 6 and 9 — have sued the Trump administration over their arrest at Los Angeles Immigration Court, the first lawsuit challenging the arrests of children under a new ICE directive targeting courthouses.

The mother brought her two children to the immigration court on May 29 expecting to continue to make a case for asylum after fleeing Honduras due to threats of violence. But like many other immigrants across the country, they were surprised to see their case quickly dismissed as ICE agents waited for them to step out of the courthouse into the hallway.

"There were men waiting for them in civilian clothing. The men [ICE agents] detained the family for many hours, and it was a terrifying time for the two children and their mother," said Elora Mukherjee, director of the Immigrant Rights Clinic at Columbia Law School.

"They were crying in fear. One of the agents at one point lifted up his shirt, which displayed the gun that he was carrying," Mukherjee said. "The 6-year-old boy was terrified to see the gun. He urinated on himself and wet all his clothing. No one offered him a change of clothing for many hours."

The family was then transported to the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas, where they have been detained for several weeks.

The 6-year-old boy has been diagnosed with leukemia and has missed a medical appointment to be treated for worsening symptoms, according to the lawsuit filed Tuesday in federal court in San Antonio by the Immigrant Rights Clinic and The Texas Civil Rights Project.

Republicans Ask Donald Trump to Revoke Zohran Mamdani's Citizenship - Newsweek

Quote

The New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC) has called on the federal government to strip Zohran Mamdani of his citizenship and deport him.

On Tuesday evening, Mamdani, a 33-year-old self-described democratic socialist, declared victory over Andrew Cuomo, former governor of the state of New York, in the Democratic primary for the 2025 New York mayoral election.

This was completely foreseeable when we decided to let MASKED "agents" run around and arrest people without showing ID.

He will likely get pardoned if he says nice things about Trump.
