So Purdue only needs most of their two-deep from the portal. Shouldn't be a problem.

Are we seriously attempting to sign both Brown and Baugh, along with Coleman? I know we're not fucking around but Jesus.

I think we're waiting on Lacy instead of Baugh. Between us and LSU, unless Ole Miss makes an ungodly offer.

Not strictly transfer related, but significant roster news

  • This kind of shit from our fanbase wears me out. Sark took over a lost program and since we've been to 2 semis and should have been in the playoffs this year but for a committee that doesn't understan

I think our QB money has been well spent. My point was that it feels like Sark neglects the OL position and focuses almost entirely on the skill positions - Kind of a 7v7 type of attitude.

Up until this last year, we did not have to spend on OL bc we returned almost all starters 2 years in a row, almost all of whom were drafted and are in the nfl.

For any that have watched Arkansas games, how is the big DL that we are linked to? I know they had a dog shit defense this past year, but just curious how this guy played.

For those that are plugged in, how does Texas approach this. Do we put an offer and let these guys leverage it from their next visit or do we tell them to visit, get the best offer and we’ll match/beat it?

If Coleman doesn’t make all his visits I’d be fucking shocked. He’s asking top dollar, and I’m pretty sure his agent knows how to work the market.

I'd love to have Coleman, but it feels like we lose most of these very public portal battles. The WR from Pitt who went to USC, the end from TCU who went to OU, etc. We've done the most damage with guys who we blatantly poach seem to appear in the portal out of the blue and immediately sign.

I saw him make a tackle and then eat the guy, FWIW

I’m not plugged in but we ain’t letting that dude leave Austin uncommitted.

Mosely isn’t staying because he thinks he’s going to be rotational. Dude has been pretty great when healthy

If you feel this way, why the fuck are you here posting on the recruiting forum? Could it be because players like Arch Manning, Anthony Hill, Colin Simmons, Jelani McDonald, Manny Muhammed, Trey Wingo and Trevor Goosby didnt portal onto our roster?

stupid fucking post.

I'm in the portal thread.

Is a handful of players sticking and the majority not worth the effort to actually follow HS recruiting?

For this 2026 class I didnt pay much attention at all. Checked in every few of months and got the news on the big targets like Bell, Atkinson, Cooper. Then spent about an hour in early December looking at the class and probably have just as much of a realistic feel for it as anyone here.

Just seems like a massive time waste to pay attention to HS stuff daily throughout the year when these two weeks here are going to determine if we're title contenders or not.

WTF? Is this real?

A post from a parody account got picked up by a dumb online news site; that's what you're seeing.

Follow the link. It's "no3sports" rather than "on3sports".

Gotta keep your head on a swivel this time of year. Let’s be careful out there.

Wasn’t there an update recently he pretty much said he was leaving after he was NYC to see his buddy win the Heisman? I’d say the staff knew already

OB said this is who they have penciled in so far for OV's this weekend with more to come

RB - Isaac Brown - Louisville
WR - Cam Coleman - Auburn
DT - Ian Geffrard - Arkansas
Edge - Jayden Woods - Florida
K - Gianni Spetic - Memphis

Does he? If it’s not this guy then he is clearly inferior.

I think Wingo is upgradable but I was replying to the comment to effectively move mosley to #4 which I think is a mistake.

It all sort of depends on who is performing the best. Depth chart isn't even worth discussing 9 months before the season

Leavitt to Aggy?

If that kicker comes here, the constant drunk autocorrect of Septic will be hilarious

High school recruiting isn't worth discussing, depth chart isn't worth discussing, Portal isn't worth discussing except for two weeks of the year, are you sure you even want to be here?

Yeah, but props to him and guys like Hutson and Travis Shaw for playing in the bowl game instead of bailing to work on their 40 time or whatever.

That’s not worth discussing

Feels crazy considering his relationship with Arch and his prominent playing time during the season…wonder if there’s any read-through to us locking down a big fish portal WR or if this is Livingstone thinking he can get more $ elsewhere.

Arch could pay him from his funds, and not miss a beat.

Endries to the draft. Let’s get a hoss

Hermanator posts absolutely aren't worth discussing

I don't know anything, but I would be fine if the staff already sees Townsend as the Endries replacement, and they bring in more of an in-line blocker from the portal.

Juan Davis is having a great offseason. Look for him to break out…

Good for you I guess? I’d argue a bigger waste of time is going to a forum dedicated to recruiting and arguing to the regulars that they’re wasting time with their hobby. For an encore, do you enjoy going to churches and standing up during mass and telling the audience they’re wasting their time there? I bet you really sway a lot of people to rethink their lives.

Recruiting news is the opiate of the college football viewing masses?

Props to Endries. He was good for us, and should get drafted in a good board position based on general opinions from NFL draft types. Coming to Texas was a win/win.

But fear not! I am a very important person and am personally involved in a very exclusive Tight End NIL collective. We're going to be fine.

You know Burnt Ends isn’t a tight end collective anymore, right? Just kidding it’s obvious that you don’t.

We don't even know what receivers are going to be on the team yet and some dude is adamant Moseley has to be a 3 instead of 4 on a depth chart. That doesn't strike you as stupid?

FWIW Bobby doesn’t think we look to replace him from the portal - there are a few young guys on the roster ready to step up. According to Bobby if Texas goes to the portal for a TE it will be for a blocking TE.

We've been looking for a blocking tight end since Agbo left

So this Gianni Spetic guy was 75% on FGs this year. According to ESPN, that puts him T-84th in the country among qualifying kickers.

Last year he was 81% would be around 50th this year,

In fairness, his long of 55 was T-15th this year.

You know someone else can make a stupid post and you can still be a complete and consistent fucking moron, right? It’s not mutually exclusive.

of course, since you’re a proud autist you struggled. with recognizing the fact that the mosely comment was one guy expressing that wingo sucks and shouldnt be a starter. But either way, it’s people on a message board discussing things, which is the point of message boards. Except to you who thinks it’s all a waste of fucking time. On a message board. Listen, Forrest Gump, why don’t you head back to the football board where you belong?

1 minute ago, Hermanator said:

What's the story on Burnt Ends moving away from supporting the tight ends?

I’d answer you, but talking on a message board is a huge waste of time.
