December 30, 2025Dec 30 CC might be great at his new spot but I watched a lot of his games and he’s pretty good but Texas fans would hate him when he drops passes and gets caught from behind in the open field. If y’all hate wingo shiiiiiitttt. CC is good but not as great as y’all think.

They signed an All American running back and an All American safety. They didn't hold off on upgrading the rest of the team until everyone was all warm and fuzzy about the line.

We are also actively going after that caliber of RB. Cam Coleman or equivalent isn’t taking this team to the next level and would be a waste of resources. You have a great season and your reward is your coach gets hired by a big fish, you get your brains beat in for the first round of the CFP, and your best players transfer out. What an incentive structure for excellence.Idk if others may agree with me, but my opinion is that the NCAA should just create a new G5 subdivision. Division 1 would then be made up of FCS, FBS-G5, and FBS-P4.FCS has their own playoffs and crowns their own national champion. G5 has their own playoffs and crowns a national champion. P4 had their own playoffs and national champion. Take the G5 conferences champions plus 3 at larges, 8 team G5 playoff. Put the playoff games on weekdays in between P4 playoff games. People watch the FCS playoffs and would watch things like Tuesday MACtion just because we love football. A G5 playoff I bet would get some viewership and make some money. Could still incorporate bowl games by playing playoff games at the bowl sites closest to the higher seeds. This allows good G5 programs to actually play for a national championship. Given the widening gap in NIL/resources between G5 and P4, I think the days of seeing a top 5 Boise St, or Utah, etc are long in the past. Maybe we get a first round upset once a decade, but G5 schools in the playoffs with P4 schools will almost always be unwatchable blowouts and I don't think one would ever be able to win 4 games to win a national championship. Also, if this structure came to fruition, I'd make an NCAA scheduling rule: every P4 school must schedule an OOC of at least one P4, one G4, then school's choice (another G4, FCS, whatever).

December 30, 2025Dec 30 Our existing WR room is adequate and I don’t think we need to go after a Cam Coleman type given we have finite resources. The problem is our best guys have overlapping skill sets. What we need is a Sategna/Craver type that will be wide the fuck open down the field if their speed isn’t respected. I’m sure those guys weren’t cheap but they also weren’t marquee players in last year’s portal.

We have a 5 star coming in that is the most electric receiver we’ve recruited since Worthy. Use him and get him up to speed. If a receiver can’t get up to speed with your offense then change the complexity of your offense. No fucking way should receivers struggle to learn an offense in this day and age of football.Lastly you don’t have to be a 10.3 track guy to be wide open deep or to create separation.
