There’s absolutely nothing to take away from that first half other than Rocco can throw a beautiful ball when he can hang on, and Avery Johnson can run when he isn’t slipping.

The total abandonment of the “don’t field a punt inside the 10” philosophy in football over the past few years is baffling to me. Like coaches forgot how to do a risk/reward analysis.

This game has been sloppy then again it is game one.

And in the rain in a significantly different time zone. I imagine also, probably not the ideal pre-game procedures and preparation given the distractions of Ireland.

Since it's both teams and not just one shitting the bed, I think it's mostly field conditions.

This.  I’m not going to react strongly to this game either way.  If we win, it’s probably dumb luck.  Same if we lose.

First game, rainy weather, foreign environment.  Not surprised on the sloppiness.  Real season begins next week.

College football doesn't begin until the fighting Texas aggys kick the ball off stupid sip.

Welp... fct is, it's not a very exciting game, so far. Makes XII look less than great. Where's Yormark when they need him?

Generalizing an entire conference after one half of one game on the first day of football in meh conditions overseas seems like a choice even for this board.

We have most of the Surly classics already:

"Both of these teams suck"

"How are these teams ranked?"

"Texas would beat either team by 20 points"

"This game sucks"

I haven't questioned why they're ranked.  I do think we'd beat the dog out of either of them.  And yes, this game sucks.

Nice to see Surlys falling - if not leaping - into the sarchasm.

Let's all hope things open up in the second half.

Still waiting for Campbell to start foaming at the mouth. He screeched a little, but plenty of time left.

This field looks like absolute dog shit. I hope like hell Texas never ever ever ever considers one of these bullshit ass games on the other side of the fucking globe.

I love college because you'll have teams that can just light it up and then teams who have zero clue how to ever move the ball or throw a forward pass and today we have both teams who can't do either lol.

Yeah the big12 is for sure going to surprise everyone and dominate in the CFP winning zero (0) games.

I have his rushing yards over so you're doing better than I am.

Trying out prize picks this year

its like a 6 pay prop bet that pays probably 2/3 of what Vegas does

but somehow legal in Texas

I love soccer grass, but would hate to play football on it.  I wonder if they let to grow longer to compensate, so you just have longer and softer turf, then plus the rain.  Running around on a hairy sponge.
