I think the Senate Ds have played this situation about as strategically as it can be played, but Schumer needs to be bounced for a very simple reason: he’s not a good leader, and his caucus can’t trust him.

Klobuchar, Warner and Tammy Baldwin would all be better choices at this moment.

so… he does need to be kneecapped.

Nah. Democrats will be unhappy but normies have already made their minds up and the damage is done politically from the shutdown. It would have been great to get the subsidies restored but honestly them expiring hurts Republicans a lot worse politically than it hurts Democrats.
We can always do this again in February.

If they pass the House version, it is only good until the 21st. Wouldn't they be back at it in 12 days, much earlier than February? If they pass a new version with a later date, would that force Johnson's hand to open the House and risk the final signature for the Epstein files.

Any D who votes for this with what sounds like is on the table needs to be told loudly that they will face full fury in the next primary and little if any support if they happen to survive...it's how the Republicans do shit.   Take a page, you listless bastards.

PLEASE call today (Sunday) and tell them not to CAVE on the shut down.  Democrats demand they stay firm.

Sen. Baldwin 202-224-5663

Sen. Coons 202-224-5042

Sen. Hassan 202-224-3324

Sen. Ossify 202-224-3521

Sen. Peters 202-224-6221

Bunch of fucking losers, the worst part is the guilty parties responsible are going to retire instead of facing a primary.

Fucking disgusting, any Democrat that votes for this will need to face the wrath of the party. And this all so their precious fucking holiday plans don't face any issues. A BUNCH OF FUCKING LOSERS

Ah, I see they do have a new date. So, now the House has to pass it despite Johnson already cancelling the week's session?

The legislation does not need to include provisions for back pay since that is already protected by law?

We are at war against fascist authoritarian takeover of the country and dismantling of democracy. If democrat politicians dont even have the stomach for a prolonged shutdown, how will they ever have the stomach for the violence required to take the country back?

Moron moderate democrats think they won on Tuesday.

No, trump lost.

The people still don't give a shit about you. As soon as the suffering from trump ends they'll forget about it and go right back to whatever populist windbag promises the moon again. Even if it's trump's kid or some other evil republican bastard.

That's where we are. No matter if democrats win everything like in 2008 the republicans will go right back to making a loud bitching noise daily then promising to fix everything,  even things that aren't broken. Stupid Americans will buy into it and elect them again because democrats will be weak and quiet.  That's best case scenario.

Dumb, weak motherfuckers.  The only way this makes any sense is if the Dems know the Epstein shit is gonna actually fuck shit up so opening back up to get Grijalva in office will be worth it.  I don’t buy that for a minute, far more likely is the establishment democrats completely validating all criticism against them and further empowering Trumpism.  The stupid, weak, corrupt mothfuckers.

No. You can hate evil. Weakness and incompetence are not necessarily evil, and are due the sort of pity that, in the extreme, ranges from disgust to ridicule. It is fair to view these actions as complicity, which has been veiled. That is despicable evil but that does not describe the party in its entirety. The Republican Party, otoh, is all in on evil.

th/dr hate the individuals involved. Don’t hate on Crockett.
