If the defense comes back, crazy things can happen. Simmons looked a little better yesterday. I still don’t know where the rest of the 5 stars are.

Our 5 star corner Kobe Black was on his ass watching Dallas Wilson run down the sideline

I have a lot of OU fans in my family. They don't like to admit it, but Texas is all the Sooners think about. It's an obsession and they will play their best game of the season on Saturday. The line on this game is inexplicable. I understand the media likes to build Texas up so they can fall on their face and be humiliated, I don't understand why Vegas would do it. The Sooners have the #1 run defense in college football. Which of our runningbacks is going to get yards against this team? When the run game stalls, what are we going to do, throw desperate 50 yard bombs? Their backup QB is better than our starter. Our backup QB might be better than our starter. Texas is about to be humiliated on the national stage one more time.

It’s crazy that we’re almost to the midway point of the season and we have no idea who our starting left guard will be at Texas/OU. It could realistically be any of three or four different people.

I'm going to bet our starting left guard will be Connor Stroh, because Kyle Flood is our OL Coach.

Curious what you are basing this off of. It can’t be the singular start against Kent State. I’m not calling Manning great at all, but calling Hawkins definitively better is a bold claim based on current evidence..

Calling any QB difinitively better than Manning is not exactly bold at this point. Hawkins started 4 games last year. I was a little suprised that he stayed around after they brought Mateer in. With OU's defense he should be able to do more than enough to beat this team. I think it's just hard for us to wrap our heads around how bad this Texas team is right now.

Venables will come after us all fucking game. Sad thing is he doesn’t need to. He can get home and control the line if scrimmage with a base front.

Luckily he's dumbass of a head coach, he might not take the best approach to this game.

I have no idea how to sanely have any confidence in our chances in this game after watching our o-line get abused by UF. We received confirmation that UTEP was not an aberration. Our o line is completely broken. There's no help coming for this game. I don't know how you win with that.

Take that free money.

I think that's the play here, like a happiness hedge.  If ou wins, you get paid.  If Texas wins, well Texas wins!

my god... i thought I'd give the board time to take a breath, but it seems I didn't take a long enough break

both the positive pollyannas and the negative nancies in here are being idiots

what did y'all fucking expect when we were replacing nearly our entire offensive starters this year? You actually thought we'd IMPROVE when we tossed our entire 2024 offense off into the NFL?

to say nothing of our defense; I was watching the Broncos against the Eagles today and saw both Mukuba AND Barron making amazing plays. And Collins nearly single handedly won the game for the 49ers

The negativity about the coaching staff is dumb, positivity about the TEAM is dumb. The goal this year is week to week improvement, to make a run next year, when we bring back EVERYBODY.

fuck ou, I hope we beat em by 70, but I wouldn't bet on it

In the era of NIL, the coaches deserve all the blame for not going in the portal or being ready to potentially replace 4 guys on the oline. How did it work out for Clemson returning almost EVERYBODY?

You sound like such an aggy with that take.

When are you going to start being worried that your head coach has a 2-9 record against top-10 opponents?

1-7 when we rush less than 100 yards

I think he is like 2-9 when losing at half.

This is the same coach and coaching staff that let oklahoma come back and win when we were up 28-7.

We should be progressing and being consistently a solid program at year 5, even when players leave to the NFL draft. uga, tOSU, Bama keep putting out players and competing, but our fans are making excuses and saying "make a run next year." Sounds like something we been saying every year.

As Sark says, "the standard is the standard" and the Texas Longhorns football team is not meeting the standard.
