Venables will come after us all fucking game. Sad thing is he doesn’t need to. He can get home and control the line if scrimmage with a base front.

Venables is a dumb motherfucker but he knows this much at least.

If his game plan is anything other than have his front four tea bag our oline all game and let the back seven sit back and pick off arch’s ducks then he’s even dumber than I thought.

Normally I’m not too worried when it looks like we have no chance against these cocksuckers because they’re generally not afraid to gag it up. But this year is going to be awful. I’d be surprised if we score a single TD. I’m guessing 27-6, but a fucking shut out is not at all out of the question.

Can the NIL people get a refund?

OU scored 44 on a team worse than SHSU.  That’s with a defensive TD.  I would be shocked if either team got over 24 even with a defensive TD.
Can’t rush Mateer back.  If they lose 1-2 without him and only one with him they’re 50/50 for the playoffs with that schedule.  Arch also doesn’t seem to make that many dumb throws.  The O line seems a bigger issue than Arch.

I have a lot of OU fans in my family. They don't like to admit it, but Texas is all the Sooners think about. It's an obsession and they will play their best game of the season on Saturday. The line on this game is inexplicable. I understand the media likes to build Texas up so they can fall on their face and be humiliated, I don't understand why Vegas would do it. The Sooners have the #1 run defense in college football. Which of our runningbacks is going to get yards against this team? When the run game stalls, what are we going to do, throw desperate 50 yard bombs? Their backup QB is better than our starter. Our backup QB might be better than our starter. Texas is about to be humiliated on the national stage one more time.

This is not to dismiss the ineptitude of our offense at all.  But OU has played shit  year to date.     If there is a team that MIGHT be worse on offense it is Auburn and OU had to hold on for dear life to win that game and somehow the aggy defense held the same Auburn team to less points and every aggys I read on different platforms are still not solid on their D.          Oh but they beat Michigan.   There is nothing impressive in Michigan’s work to date to suggest they are back to their top tier status in the Big 10 other than they beat some low hanging fruit since they played OU and they’ve upped their poll rankings because of this.

We desperately need 1) fewer penalties, 2) Arch throwing the ball on time, and 3) more 3rd down conversions. I know better than to expect our horrendous O-line to improve before the end of the season (thanks to the Strong and Herman years) but cleaning up the smaller things would go a long way towards giving ourselves a chance to win this week.

Reminder; it's been 16 years since we've defeated blOU in back-to-back seasons. If we lose this Saturday, blOU is just 12 games away from evening up the all-time head-to-head in the rivalry (down from 20 games away at the start of the century).

aggy D is pretty good.  Their last 2 games teams are 1 for 27 or something on third.  That’s legit against air.

No way Hawkins is better.  He can run maybe as well as Arch and throws like Davis Beville.

UT wins a close ugly ass game imo.

This would be really twisted if I took that bet!🤣

In the opener the Buckeyes ran quick short routes to get Sayin a few receptions, let him get in a rhythm and grind out some drives. Does Sark have any quick routes to get the ball out of Mannings hands? Maybe he calls them but Arch won't throw the ball?  I would love to play a team like Texas, that has their QB standing in the pocket indefinitly, starring down the field, waiting to be sacked. If Sark does that on Saturday the loss is on him.
