Miami es no bueno. There's a reason they lost to SMU and Louisville, and couldn't even make the ACC title game in what was one of the weakest-ever years for the conference. I still think that if Virginia wins the ACC title game, the CFP probably leaves Miami out.

A&M likely wins going away.

I think college station is an advantage only in during the entire game both the opposing team and fans wonder if they will make it back their team bus or cars alive at the game’s end.

Arkansas and South Carolina aren’t that good either and aggy struggled. They might win but I doubt they roll them.

As much as I dislike aggy Cristobal is a simpleton. If aggy gets bad Beck they will advance. Miami’s losses to Louisville and SMU in the regular season make me question whether they could beat JMU or Tulane were they paired against either team today. Cristobal is one of the worst situational coaches in the playoffs. Not saying aggy is that much better. I’m looking forward to the JMU v Oregon game for some inexplicable reason.

Guess you like watching gore..

Or dark green ones.

Maybe, but I like the contrast of orange on a green field. Agree that'd be better than all-whites.

Miami will crush them. Aggie can't deal with other teams that have speed. Their pass rush was anemic against Texas.  Miami had a abetter line than we do , so do not expect Aggie to be effective. Let's see if they can stop Miami from turning Reed into the one read wonder  he is . I seriously doubt it.

I’ve had Gameday on for the last 30 minutes in the background passively listening. But have they completely ignored what happened in the last game Aggie played? They reference this team as if they are damn near unbeatable. If Miami can keep Reed in the pocket and contain those WRs they’ll win this game.

aggy finished the regular season with 1 or 0 losses 10 times before today
year listed is the regular season not the new year's day date for that season

insights from the data:
1994: 10-0-1, but on probation
1993: 10-1, #7 new year's morning, no shot at natty
1992: #4 new year's morning, with a shot at the natty, worst aggy fail in history
1991: no swc luv @all: 34-35 loss @ tulsa week 2, wiped out entire swc slate, but only #9 new year's morning, no shot at natty
1975: #2 aggy beat #5 Texas, stayed #2, lost at #18 pig (went cotton), aggy #6 no shot at natty
1956: probation; bear's best year; 14-14 v Houston at Rice Stadium only blemish, finished #5 both AP & UPI
1943: entered sip game 7-0-1 ranked only #16, unranked at 7-1-1 new year's morning; tied North Texas Aggies (now UT Arlington) 0-0 @ pyle,
1941: were 8-0 ranked #2 before UT cost aggy a shot at the natty
1940: were 8-0 ranked #2 before UT cost aggy a shot at the natty
1939: only undefeated post-season aggy win evar

summary:

aggy have been in this situation 10 times
2 of 10: on probation so no post-season
6 of 10: lost the bowl game
2 of 10: won the bowl games, the 1940 Sugar and the 1941 Cotton

asides:

aggy lost in Austin and won their bowl games in 1990, 1978 and 1940
aggy lost in Austin and lost their bowl games in 2004, 2000, 1998 and 1950
this deepdive explains the ancient aggy fixation with our series during ww2
the junction boys went 1-9 in bear's 1st year (1954)

They did the same thing last night with ou.  Their job is to hype shit up...not be logical, factual and therefore "boring".   They're not gonna get on there and say "this team may be a paper tiger, they needed a miracle dropped xp hold and a horrific no call to beat Notre Dame, they got drilled by the one other highly ranked team that they played and like OU's QB last night their QB is highly susceptible to pressure and a tendency to make panicked YOLO throws"

You can't just expect to stroll through the accaccacc, you're gonna catch strays. It's not like playing Mississippi State, Bama, or Oklahoma every week. Aggy gonna find out what happens when you leave the boring confines of the SEC

Or Iraan??

Might make more sense from a population standpoint, but both are a little west for an aggy.

Only the stupid ACC tie-break rules kept Miami out of the ACC title game this year. The Canes were clearly the conference’s best team. Yeah, the ACC was pretty shitty.

Dude blocked against 80% Ass, except during aggy practices.  It’s similar to a QB looking great throwing against air.
