I’m not paying that close attention but during the Jackson confirmation hearing, Josh Hawley seems to be obsessed with child pornography. He admits that he’s coming up with this out of the blue but doesn’t mean it as a “gotcha” question.

I believe he started floating it as his reason for voting against her about a week ago

He’s a POTUS 2024 candidate and is explicitly targeting Q believers for the primary with this focus

Josh Hawley is trying to get some Q freak to kill her.

It's right on cue.  Child porn (short of actual production) is a microcosm of unsupported draconian sentencing.  It's something that evokes a lot of fear and loathing that isn't consistent with the science and data.  Along with sex offender registries.

It's everything that's wrong with tough on crime.

Jackson, along with quite a few, but not enough, federal judges, gets that.

Apologies to those of you who were home schooled or private school twats, but the fact that five of the six conservative justices were home schooled or private school twats tells me we should have fewer home schooled or private school twats on the bench...or in life in general.

agree with you on home school. not sure I can agree with private school.

(Was hanging out at the coffee shop at the National Cathedral on Friday - the one next to St. Albans, down the street from Sidwell Friends.  Bunch of high school guys in there with blazers and short pants. I will admit, it looked comfy, and made me want to jostle a tree branch and make one of these dudes fall.

Seriously, one of the worst pieces of shit I've ever had to read at any level. I think it was undisputed champion until I had to read The Awakening by Kate Chopin in freshman English at UT. Both of those motherfucking books left lasting scars of rage.

Yeah, private schools are all over the map.  Good ones, though, despite reeking of privilege, are pretty damned rigorous.

In college I was in a music group based out of Chicago, and became acquainted with a couple hundred guys, many of them turning into good friends.  Chicago being Chicago, there were a shit ton of Catholics, and a good portion of them went to private Jesuit high schools.  Those guys were taught how to learn.

First response on the texags thread:

I despise the pick. That said, I hope republicans ask legitimate questions and move on. No need for grandstanding. What the dems have put conservative pics through is wrong but we shouldn't reciprocate. End of the day we don't have the votes to block anything.

How is it that the whiniest little bitches in all of politics are also the ones who love the terms "alpha" and "beta." They are the supreme bitchass titty babies and call others beta. It is so easy to spot how weak and spineless these fucks are, including many resident surly posters.

What a stupid question.

"Is it your personal hidden agenda to incorporate CRT into our legal system?"

"No."

For once, I'd love to hear someone respond with,  "is it your personal hidden agenda to be a fucking idiot?"

Jackson seems pretty qualified.

Hmm, there just might have been an agenda in creating that graphic.  How many of you ever thought that we sure need more sentencing commission members on the court?  With that said, she seems well qualified.

as opposed to the other 115 times where those two things were seemingly disqualifications.

disqualifying someone because of their race or gender is 100% wrong. i totally agree with you on that. 100% agree. couldn't agree more.
