The Supremes

My experience is that people that incessantly talk about things generally have an interest in participating in those things.  It's very weird to me how they fixate on this, and I think of all the people going on about the gays that liked to suck a cock behind the bushes and it makes me wonder how many of these people would 100% fuck a kid if they thought they could get away with it.  Or how many of them did because they realized they could get away with it.

for the same reason as sack and babyaga and those folks being so fixed on the PEDO(!!!!) in the rittenhouse case. It was in every other post of theirs. It had nothing to do with the facts at hand, but they made sure to point it out every time

I never knew the sack was a pedo, but can’t say it’s a huge shock.

Yeah, it's primarily a blood libel. Of course for some of them, it's also projection.

She’s basically guaranteed to get in by virtue of the D majority right? This isn’t something that Manchin or Kyrsten would block, I assume. So the R’s hazing her are doing it because it’s expected of them from their constituents, not because it will have a material effect on outcomes. Do I have that right?

Same reason Kavanaugh was a shoe in last time?

the Rs hazing her are doing so because they can get their faces on TV and fundraise off this.  i can guarantee you that hawley and ted are going to have already sent out fundraising emails with "the democrats are pushing this pedo-lover through the senate!" as the hook.  and their marks will have seen kid hitler and cancruz on tv, or a video on twitter, or facebook, and they'll be all in on it.

So essentially it's practical politics to harass this woman because they enhance their brand (to their constituents) and if they aren't doing this, it's political malpractice to their constituents. But they are all resigned to the fact that this woman will be the next Supreme and all of this is a formality, is what I'm hearing. Got it and thanks that helps. Like others have said, not sure this is even worth paying attention to or watching knowing all that.

If it was such an important question to ask why did he decide to wait until his time was up to get to it. Instead, we talked about children's books and if he as a hispanic man could "convert" to be Asian if he wanted to.

You are a such duplicitous shit-bird. And what makes it worse is you try ever-so-hard to come off as not being on either side of the aisle when it's clear you're either a foreign provocateur troll or firmly in the MAGA camp. You're a shit-stirrer.

No, you should take him at his word. He's genuinely as dumb as he acts.

And it's a fucking shame the political grandstanding she's had to endure from CHUDS like Hawley and Cruz to get her SCOTUS seat.

There was nothing "stirrer" about my posts, the guy just will never be able to get over that he doesn't like me and doesn't know how to use the ignore button, much like yourself.

Why do the Republicans keep talking about child pornography and prepubescent stuff?

They’re dog whistling the QAnon crazies.

They’re doing it with the Florida “Don’t Say Gay” bill by using language like grooming and with the various trans bathroom bills.

It’s their way of keeping that bunch engaged with subtle triggers so they don’t have to engage with the crazy explicitly.

No, it really isn't.  Their constituents don't really care.  They're creating issues and creating controversy so they can tell their constituents that libruls are appointing pedo-lovers to the Supreme Court and they tried to expose it and stop it.

It's not "practical politics."  It's bad-faith demagoguery of the worst kind.  The absolute worst.

That it jibes with Qanon narratives makes it that much more irresistible.

It makes Joe McCarthy look like Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

It took me a long, long, long time to come to this realization but the Republican party for the most part is populated by absolute monsters. You'd better be white, rich and preferably male to make it in their perceived world.

The pseudo-rage over her child porn sentencing is just one more thing that has a perfectly valid explanation, but they intentionally twist the narrative to white knight for their base.  According to what I've read, it is widely accepted in the legal community that Federal sentencing guidelines for possession (not creation) of child porn are far too harsh.  Even prosecutors routinely suggest well-less-than-minimum sentences.

Ted knows this.  Ted doesn't care.  Ted is a monster.
