I know we sometimes joke about just not fielding any kicks but I think it may be time to get serious about it.

Honestly, what percentage of kicks fielded by this team yield a positive result (better than a touchback on kickoffs, better field position on punts)?

I'm certainly feeling pessimistic about it, but it seriously feels like our "win rate" or whatever you want to call it on fielding kicks is in the sub-20% range.

Hard to remember a kickoff return that got us significantly better than a touchback, but it feels like there are double digit examples that have us starting inside our 20.

Punts, we have muffed punts, fair caught punts inside the 10 or 5 that would almost definitely have been touchbacks, fielded punts when defenders are a step away leading to receivers getting blown up and either fumbling or absorbing unnecessary  punishment.

on the flip side, have there been ANY big plays this season?

Fuck
