And then there is Larry Summers:

So glad progressives went to war with this Biden "economic adviser" -who came out strongly against the $2,000 relief.

He is a disaster for anyone outside the gilded international capital class - who is always latched on to the government-free-money-teat for them (socialized losses) - and austerity for everyone else.

that op-ed is...something.  he ties himself in knots trying to justify his point, which becomes less of a "point" and more of an "contrarian internet opinion" with every sentence.

Sounds like the Cabinet is done.

  • Labor - Marty Walsh, Bahstahn Mayah
  • Commerce - Gina Raimando, RI Governor
  • SBA - Isabel Guzman, Director of the Small Business Advocate Office for California and former deputy chief of staff and senior advisor at the SBA under Obama

5 women, 10 men

2 African Americans, 1 Native American, 3 Latinos

1 LGBT

If you include the 10 Cabinet-level offices:

  • 11 women, 13 men, 1 TBD (CIA Director)
  • 5 African American, 1 Native American, 4 Latinos, 1 Asian American, 1 Indian American
  • 1 former nominee for POTUS

So, not sure quite where this should go in regards to threads, but with Garland the AG, is it possible to replace him on the DC court spot he's vacating with Doug Jones? I am not an attorney and have no idea how courts and such work, but can a dude be named anywhere, or would Jones need to be regionally tied to his region?

That DC Court of Appeals spot is going to most likely go to Ketanji Brown Jackson, who is a front runner for Breyer's seat (or Biden's first opening), hence elevating her to the most important court after the Supreme Court.
