The only reason I didn’t neg your tumble down of posts on this thread is because you’re generally an excellent poster. But this is bullshit. This guy isn’t the right guy, he’s a train wreck, stop equivocating for him. ***** Beyond C-Man’s collapse here, this is a good few pages to witness the phenomenon of watching guys defend the indefensible. It’s a human psychological thing, but it’s always weird to see first hand. There is nothing - not.a.fucking.thing. - in Sarkisian’s history as a coach to merit giving him the benefit of the doubt after what we’ve seen. He’s not only the OC here, he’s been a failure almost anywhere he’s been, and his current season is the going to be worst in modern UT history. Watching @RaysBoomBoomRoom equivocating for such things as keeping Kwiatkowski and reinforcing his role by bringing in his buddy became so nauseous on this thread that I just started negging the dumbfuck. If you read this thread and others like it and wish for it not to become some pollyanna-ish sunshine-pumping apology porn thread for this loser of a HC and his merry band of fuckups, I suggest sharpening the neg-axe as well. I’ve seen boards go sideways when a “liked” coach starts failing and the apologists can’t comprehend it. It becomes insufferable and takes months to clean up. In short, fuck any of you mincy twits showing up to this thread to defend what’s happening and offer Kirk fucking Herbstreit’s view up as some sort of legitimate guiding light.15 points

I’m sorry, but the bullshit around attrition and talent is fine and all, but Kansas is in a far worse situation in both instances than Texas. They were on the road. Give me a fucking break on the apologism for Sarkisian and his band of buttfucks regarding the loss on Saturday or this season. Yeah, talent and players are part of the problem, but we’re awash in shitty mediocrity with the coaching staff, starting with the unmerited head loser in charge. Jesus tittyfucking Christ.13 points

Jesus fucking Christ, can everyone stop with the blaming woke whatever virtue signaling? Sterns led the charge with all that last year and he’s more than holding his own in the NFL right now. The players just suck at football and the coaches suck at coaching them. It’s nothing more than that.12 points

Outside of originally believing Sarkisian was a terrible hire, I really don't disagree with your sentiments. But I don't see why we need any more data to conclude that this guy is not the right guy here. 1) Texas is going to close 2021 with a 4-8 record, a home loss to Kansas, a blowout loss to ISU, and a 7 game losing streak. This will be the worst season at Texas since 1956. Texas finished that season with an 8 game losing streak and then DKR took over and snapped the streak the following season in game 1 by beating Georgia on the road. This stupid fucker coaching currently better thank God every day that ULM is sandwiched between this season and Alabama in game 2 next year. 2) Recruiting is falling apart. We're all going to hold out hope, I guess, in this thread, but they'll finish with a likely empty set on top targets, with all of them going to schools on UT's future roster every season. This staff looks pretty weak at this aspect of the program, which is, frankly, stunning. 3) The staff overall looks terrible. I was excited by the staff and thought that they might wind up proving the hire of Sarkisian correct in the end. Nope. We all wanted to hope that Coleman would prove himself. He's trash. We assumed PK was solid. Trash. We're not seeing anyone gain much buy-in from the team, and we're not seeing a team getting better. 4) The reality is, this team is getting progressively worse as the season continues. That is a massive red flag regarding the staff. Some clueless fuckers who don't watch other games mocked the notion that Norvell was actually doing better at his gig this year at FSU than what we're seeing. "He lost to Jacksonville State!" Right. Texas just lost to Kansas at home and was down 35-14 at the fucking half. There are numerous programs getting better as the season goes on that we've all gleefully mocked. Tennessee was more competitive with UGa than the score indicates. They've gotten better. FSU. Fucking Arizona. ULaLa. UH. Mississippi State. KSU lost 3 competitive games in a row to OSU, OU, and ISU, recovered, and sits at 7-3. That's what you'd expect a good staff to do. Texas had that same kind of chance. I'm tired of thinking about it. There is no legitimate defense for Sarkisian and his staff. There are the tired tropes from his fanboys in the media implying that the problem is systemic at Texas and he's heroically dealing with ferreting it out root and branch. That's bullshit to the core. There are the wishcasters who want to point out brief glimpses of offensive hope. There are the pollyannas who plead for more time. None of that is a valid defense. Anyone with a clue watching can see this for what it is - a laughably failed hire that was a reach in the first place. There will be no recovery for this loser from the KU game and the 7 game losing streak to close things out. But yeah, I get it. We're fucked as fans. We get to sit and watch the next 2 seasons unfold horrifically before we get to witness the next experiment.11 points

I chose to put this post here so if it’s the wrong place will gladly delete and replace with a random gif. I heard something yesterday regarding the majority of the team (those not bought in/tuned out whatever) that they were told by our former HC the reason he was fired was bc of the protests/woke stuff backlash specifically over the Eyes. I only really have one “insider” if you want to call it that. And I do realize when you hire and fire you will have attrition and folks who aren’t bought in. But this is on a scale I’ve never seen. Again if it’s the wrong place my bad. Will delete and replace. When Traylor came in (there is a great clip on this from the UTSA thread) at UTSA the first thing he did was call his “top” players. Let them know how much they were needed and blah blah blah. Second thing bc it was a COVID year he spent all day long with the players and the gym and wherever and however he could to get to know them, know their capabilities and get their buy in on him and he’d recruit at night. I understand it’s apples to oranges here (like where were most of those players going anyway—probably easier to get their buy in than perhaps here) but damn. What I am seeing from the current roster is as bad as I’ve ever witnessed. Sark wasn’t my guy. I don’t think he will be the guy. Surely he came in here trying to do the same with UT players as Traylor did with the UTSA players? They aren’t bought in and I heard a few things last night and on Saturday from someone else that makes me wonder if what I heard was true. will delete if necessary. Carry on.10 points

You look at those hillbillies over there and it’s just all about the tradition of them being the next Big left behind that’s going to destroy Texas on our way out of this conference.10 points

Sark might not be the guy, but they absolutely need to get rid of players who don't buy in.9 points

I remember back in school when my buddies and our team started Intramural Football. We all played offense but a tiny bit of DB/SS in HS m. We went up against the Deek House and got walloped. Back in 1997 the deek house was similar to Animal House. They literally were stoned as shit and trying to sell us mushrooms and xtc while they were running up the score. we were pissed, so we copied 12-15 plays from the Dime package off of NCAA or madden and went on to win the championship and get a stinky, shitty shirt after blowing out everyone we played. take notes PK9 points

Not disagreeing that it shouldn’t have been brought to trial. Unfortunately, that happens all the time. A grand jury will indict a ham sandwich and there is political pressure to do so in many cases (like this one.) This isn’t great but what scares me more is that juries are starting to feel pressure to render a verdict a certain way and we are setting a very dangerous precedent for when verdicts do not go in favor of whatever side wants them to go. It’s not CR. Everyone should be scared of this.9 points

Sterns also didn't play hard or commit himself to this program. Kind of a weird example to use. We have plenty of guys killing it in the league - a lot of whom weren't even big standouts while they were here - the issue is what they accomplish on campus.8 points

He should have been fired right there. The fact that it wasn't a straight up "resign now and help preserve the program and your legacy or you're fired right now and over there is Tony who is gonna help you box up your shit" is the screw up.8 points

To be fair they actually win stuff with their money. Football spends like a gagillion dollars and can't beat Kansas. I say we put the Women's rowing team in charge of football.8 points

Is there anything duller than an extended debate over just how hot a woman in the news is? Same shit over and over. Almost any comment is okay by me if it's funny enough, but this tiresome blather is like an afternoon with a witless Beavis and Butthead. It's a losing battle, but I've got to bring it up every once in awhile.8 points

It’s not all the players fault but this team is really bad and has absolutely no leadership hence the close loses and more recent nosedive. This team last year without Ehlinger and Ossi would have been just as bad. The problem is that the players that have real talent are soft and don’t have any intestinal fortitude. At least there are players like RoJo and X who can help lead on the offensive side but there is absolutely no player leadership on the defensive side. Finkley day one will be a huge upgrade in leadership on that side of the ball. This year means nothing. I’m more interested in how the roster is cleansed over the offseason. That is what will make or break Sark. I know y’all hate Sark for loosing year one with Herman’s shitty recruits but if he can bring in a good QB and can overhaul the oline and deline (not easy I know) he will just need a half decent performance from the defensive side of the ball and those close loses turn into wins. It’s pretty obvious that Sark is taking the burn it down and try to rebuild from scratch approach. This off-season will be very interesting. If nothing else through this shitty year Sark knows who the fighters are and the rest can go fuck themselves. I’m looking at you Foster.6 points
