When you guys sucked it's best to avoid the football board with all the crying and sensitive posters. When you guys win it's actually easier - minus all of the cruel sooner jokes which make me sad. BUT - this place is at it's absolute best when aggy is truly down. And god damn, this might be an all time low for these chucklefucks. The buyout. The boring ass hire. The UT success. The SEC invasion. God damn, this thread delivers.34 points

Is Elko happy? Of course he is. He gets to at minimum double his current salary, add HC to his career achievements, and amazingly have fewer job responsibilities than he did at Duke. This take by the sports columnist for SEC sports at USA Today is hilarious. "Good thing Texas A&M applied to its safety school. The Aggies didn't have the credentials to earn admission to Stanford or Cal-Berkeley, so it's off to Sacramento State, the commuter school that granted admission the moment it received the application. That’s how I view the Aggies’ reported plans to hire Duke’s Mike Elko to replace the fired Jimbo Fisher. All along, Elko profiled as the Aggies’ obvious fallback plan if the search didn’t produce a big fish. Texas A&M paid a $77 million buyout to rectify its Fisher mistake and hire the guy who used to be Fisher’s wingman. You could convince me that Michigan State made a better hire by nabbing Oregon State’s Jonathan Smith. You could convince me Texas A&M made off better with Elko. But that’s sort of the point, isn’t it? Texas A&M settling for Elko is a humbling reminder that, despite all of its resources, it’s closer to being Michigan State than Michigan."25 points

Since the WWE is partnering with the Big 12 I see no reason why Korie shouldn't have a little fun with this. Instead of blowing up a WR screen he should turn around and lead block for X all the way down the field. Once they get to the EZ he rips off his OSU jersey to reveal a UT jersey & celebrate the TD.24 points

For the love of God, don’t do that vs OSU. Mullet can act like he doesn’t care but for him it would make his career. We gave you all 77-0. Please reciprocate.22 points

Just a reminder to everyone that @closetojumping will take your transfer roster requests directly to Sark, so PM him with your wish list. It helps if you include a paragraph about why you think they’re a roster fit, and useful things like 40 times and wingspans, etc. If he’s non responsive, don’t fret, he’s just a busy guy. Just keep re-sending him the details. if you haven’t heard anything in a week start blasting @RGBIII21 points

I cannot be enticed, prodded, cajoled, coerced, bribed, besotted, persuaded or baited into talking about politics at family gatherings. If asked, I just say "I learned long ago that nobody wants to listen to my dumbass when it comes to politics." This has the added benefit of making at least some of my interlocutors realize that nobody wants to listen to their dumb asses, either. I am like a calm, placid Buddha who takes in the scene and smiles beatifically.19 points

Richt took UGa to the SEC Championship game 6 times, won the SEC twice, went to 3 BCS bowl games, and finished ranked in the Top 10 7 times. And he's widely regarded as one of the best human beings to ever coach D1 football. And he's supposed to be a Jimbo comp in this very very strained analogy?18 points

If Garth Brooks hadn't ruined country music, I'm fairly certain that Alan Jackson would have. That motherfucker put out some of the dumbest, cheesiest, sappiest shit in the '90's. He was an automatic channel changer for me when his maudlin crap would come on. Gone Country - possibly the most cynical money grab in modern country music history, and that's saying something Remember When - fuck off and I despise the notion that this song probably got you laid Don't Rock the Jukebox - you aren't rocking a fucking thing, asshole Dallas - how I wish your ass had stayed in Tennessee and off the radio, dickwad Here in the Real World - Here in the real world, you're ruining a music genre. Just brutally murdering it. Midnight In Montgomery - Hank Williams rolls over in his grave every time some asshat leverages his talent and legend to sell a fucking record. Summertime Blues - There is a cure, it's avoiding your bullshit at all costs. Livin' On Love - hell is a very loud place with this song blaring, I think Tall, Tall Trees - that you should have been strung up to Little Bitty - with what you did to country music, this is the size of your soul Pop a Top - I like to see your top get popped The list goes on. That guy can go fuck himself and the rest of you doing word plays with his trash can fuck off with him.17 points

I rarely see my parents any more due to many years of shittiness towards myself and my wife over the last decade. Dad is a typical Fox News drone who spends hours every day watching it and loves to talk about politics and religion. I saw my dad for a little bit at my brother's house and shortly into the conversation about my 2 and 4 year old it went like this: Dad: So how are the kids are they healthy? Me: yeah, they are doing great, enjoying school and such. Dad: Are they still a boy and a girl? Me: .... (flabbergasted)... what the fuck? Why would you ask that??? Dad: Well.. you know... some people are changing their kids genders... I don't even recall how the rest of this conversation went, because I was so stunned that the second question. I have no clue how someone can be so brainwashed to the point they suspect that "The Gay Agenda" is lurking around every corner. It's like these people intentionally hook themselves up to The Matrix every night, but instead of learning cool stuff like Kung Fu and how to shoot guns, they learn how to be hateful assholes. It was a good reminder why we don't invite them to holiday gatherings.17 points

Opening statement praises crowd, he watched the broadcast version and it gave him a different perspective on the atmosphere. Says Oklahoma State and Gundy/Ollie present a real challenge, needs a good burnt orange contingent in Arlington. Said he didn’t care about whether OU or State, but kinda fitting we play when we weren’t scheduled. Says defense and special teams were dominant Friday. When asked if deserving of CFP discussion, spicy Sark replied, “Why wouldn’t we be?”: Praised RB room, did a self assessment, comments now on program morphing into a yearly championship contender.17 points

Was just told that Stoops was on a private plane heading for College Station when the BOR backed out of the deal because of the blowback from the BMA's who in turn were monitoring the negativity emanating from Texaggy. They called the plane and had it turn around. This coming from a former aggy player that is friends of Liucci, he also mentioned that the reaction was so bad, texaggy was afraid their servers were going to crash.15 points

Of all the insane shit about Aggy that I'll never understand, perhaps the one thing that is most mystifying is why they insist on being so declarative about shit that can be so easily factually disputed or disregarded based on historical performance. "We don't have a plan B. We identify our top target and go get him" - You literally hired your backup plan when the original backup plan was mocked by your fanbase. "This is not an 8-4 job" - Your historical performance over the past 25 years is 8-4 and you hired a guy that fell short of those middling expectations in the ACC. The plaque. That's all. The plaque. NONE of that shit needed to be said or done. They're so fucking obsessed with projecting their own (hilariously inaccurate) manufactured sense of confidence and superiority that they continue to do and say unbelievably stupid shit. They publicly state that one of the main things they were looking for in a coach was his ability to keep their illustrious #1 class of all time intact. Never mind that from a program-building perspective the class was comically weighted to one position group, filled with character risks and out-of-state mercenaries that aren't ever likely to succeed. Who from that class has turned into a "must retain" stud? Name one. You can't. Walter Nolan? He's a good player. He's not a dude opposing OCs have to scheme around. Evan Stewart? He's gone. Bryce Anderson? Maybe he'll get there? If you're wanting to rid yourself of the festering rot of mediocrity that has plagued your program for 25 years none of those guys should matter. Project cautious confidence in the capability of the new guy and give him time to build the program the way he wants to. But no, you can't do that. You're making decisions that will reverberate for decades hoping against all odds that you win one game next year. This is how stupid people run shit. It's fucking absurd.15 points

You won't answer and that's fine. I am putting this up anyway so other people with your weird opinion can read it too. Quinn does what the boss asks him to do and he does it pretty well. We don't ask QE to throw little 5 yard curls very often but when we do he hits them. What the boss draws up is long developing routes where Quinn has to stand in the pocket and wait. Then our fan base comes in here screaming that Quinn can't read a defense and isn't there yet when he takes a sack instead of throwing risky passes. Tech was conceding the run game to defend against Ewers and the passing game. Imagine a world where you are getting gashed for over 300 yards rushing and you keep lining up like this below. Tech lined up with a safety almost 20 yards off the ball to discourage the passing attack. Quinn isn't running some wide open spread offense like those other QBs you cited. He is running a pro-style offense. So you don't judge based on numbers you judge based on is he doing what the coach is asking him to do. The answer to that is yes, and he is doing that against teams that are determined to take away that part of the offense and live with the running game. You guys thinking our running game is so special are missing the fact that we are seeing honest boxes every week because people are scared of our passing attack. You man up on the outside like Bama did? You get 24-38 346 and 3 TDs. In fact, every team that's tried to get aggressive against the running game has gotten scorched by QE. Bama last year. 370 vs UW. 3 bills and 4 TDs vs OU last year. It's a shame that some of you have to be reminded of that but here we are.14 points

I fucking hate Oklahoma state. I hate their stupid coach and his completely insincere "I'm a man!" defense of a player. I hate their shitty dangerous astroturf field. I hate their shitty shade of orange. I hate land grant schools in general, fucking stealing land from the people who were here first and setting it up so that dipshits too dumb to get into OU (seriously how dumb do you gotta be that you can't get into OU) can play beer pong with fat meth-addled co-eds. I fucking hate their robber baron scumbag benefactor, Mr. "Greed is Good" at the Amarillo Rotary Club, getting the Editor of the Amarillo paper fired, suing my youth minister evil dipshit T. Boone Pickens. I fucking hate this guy and his 0 penalties called while their offensive line held our linemen to the point where our players were likely to be injured: I hate Thurman Thomas and the Buffalo Bills. Especially the 1993 Buffalo Bills. I'm still pissed off about the AFC Championship Game. FUCK YOU, asshole. I hate the state of Oklahoma. You are the shittiest hat a state could wear. I left Texas solely so I could get further away from you fucks. I hate that they have scoreboard on us right now. FUCK OKLAHOMA STATE. If we never play them again, it will be too soon.14 points
