  1. in one of the many instances in which i debunked your oversimplified, unsupported bullshit and you simply never responded, i addressed your absolutist contention that religious are more charitable than non-religious when other factors such as income are normalized. it simply isn't true. and when you count tithing money to joel osteen to pay for his multi-million dollar residential compounds, it undermines the meaningfulness of your contention. a few things worth reviewing if you ever care to get anywhere near the truth... https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/faculty-research/working-papers/altruism-philanthropy-religious-secular-approaches https://pacscenter.stanford.edu/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/HWGN-Report_FINAL_DIGITAL.pdf https://www.economist.com/briefing/2012/08/18/earthly-concerns https://news.stanford.edu/news/2008/january16/googlesr-011608.html https://www.philanthropyroundtable.org/resource/who-gives-most-to-charity/ https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=content.view&cpid=42

  3. He was. He established a culture based on treating his players and staff like children. He succeeded in an era where players depended on being in his good graces to make money/get to the NFL. And he left those jobs early enough to not have to deal with the consequences of his actions. What his brief, unlamented stint as arguably the worst NFL coach of all time proved was that when the players have agency, he is worthless. In the era of the Portal and NIL, his shit won't fly. And we've already had a good enough sample of what his bullshit is like by hiring two of his better assistants as head coaches. He'll be just as bad as they were, if not worse. Yeah, Sark may be mediocre, but Urban is done. It's impossible to imagine that he would succeed as a head coach at any level worth bothering about again. Let's nip this absolute and utter stupidity in the bud now.

  5. Let’s review the illustrious life of Kliment Voroshilov, for whom Luhansk will be briefly renamed. I consider this a good omen. Red Army Officer, old Bolshevik he came into his own during Stalin’s Great Purge as the equivalent of Minister of Defense. Denouncing colleagues, luring them from abroad to their deaths, signing execution warrants, and generally shoving every body in front of the boss he could so he would never receive the not so coveted “Order of Nine Grams from the Soviet State.” Sadly, he was less good at killing Finns than his fellow Soviet officers. As a Field Marshal, he led an army that he very much destroyed on its glorious campaign and proved innovative in the field of “freezing to death before a sniper on skis gets you.” He got sacked for the Finland campaign. He got some of his mojo back after the division of Poland and went back to doing what he really loved— signing orders to shoot people in the head. Specifically all the Polish officers held at Katyn. Back in Stalin’s good graces, he regained his Field Marshal rank and led another glorious campaign near Finland. “Operation Fail to Prevent the Siege of Leningrad” went so swimmingly that he got sacked from command a second time, and that’s why everyone knows who Zhukov is. After the war he made up for it by establishing communism in Hungary and having a bunch more people shot in the head. Khrushchev purged him along with all the rest of Stalin’s incompetents and then Brezhnev dusted him off and put him on the mantle with some medals till he died. As I said— a good omen for a spectacular Russian military failure borne of grotesque mismanagement and chronic toadyism.

  6. It might have been because Casey threw an Interception every 29 throws, which was the worst in the Big 12. The doesnt include fumbles. 7th in the Big 12 in QBR and the Big 12 was not exactly a great QB conference Texas OL finished 12th in average OL yards with 3.06 and 13th with stuff rate, so that is an interesting take. Keep in mind the last 2 games saw the OL run for 412 yards (WV and OSU) and that is with absolute shit QB play. Casey won 4 games he started. In those wins Texas averaged 47.5 rushes for 311 yards and 21.5 passes for 194.75 yards. Those are not numbers of a QB that did not need a lot of help to win games. Defense was terrible and the biggest issue, but QB was the #1 problem on offense. As bad as the defense was vs Kansas, and it was shit, I dont think Texas loses that game if the QBs dont turn it over 4 times. 3 times in the first half that led to 21 Kansas pts

  7. Approximately 7,500 US Army & Air Force pilots & flight crew members were killed in Vietnam, most being shot down by Soviet Russian weapons. Not to mention the tens of thousands of troops killed by SovietRussian small arms and explisive devices. In the Korean War, many of the Nork Migs were flown by Russian pilots. Karma can be a lethal bitch for those mofos. We started paying them back with Stingers & other weaponry during their 10 year occupation of Afghanistan.

  8. God fucking damnit motherfucker. I've been happily lurking on this board for years but your disgusting fucking verbal flatulence about "but but but he's winner and he hurt his thumb :(" have forced me to create an account and respond. My friend played with this chatch so I can confidently inform you that he's a bitch who spends more time whingeing about bullshit than he does watching film, which since you're such a Casey apologist, you probably think is somewhere North of 16 hours a day. Dumbass. Basically all this fucking guy did was tweet some woe-is-me bullshit about his thumb anytime he sucked ass which was anytime he played a defense that wasn't more limp than your tiny dong. "look at his thumb that's a bruise" yeah that was also from when the injury happened and then they tweeted it 5 weeks later after he looked more inert than my dumbass nephew's flag football league qb. Dude frolicked around belmont like he was the second coming but couldn't complete a 6 yard out route. Do something productive with your time instead of flapping your jowls and bloviating about Texas football's equivalent of terminal prostate cancer last season. Jesus.

  12. We just watched the Afghan government that we equipped melt like butter on hot toast, and took a lot of heat for the equipment that we gave them falling into Taliban hands. I'm sure that, given the results of the last two Russian invasions of Ukraine, the administration wanted to be sure that the Ukrainians would fight and fight well. Once they proved themselves, we opened the tap.

  13. Was sitting in a box for this game with donors that actual care. In between the boxes that are Brown, Lief Johnson, Capital Beverage, and more of the guys who aren’t huge money but contribute a ton. These guys drive things not Michael Dell. The complete dejection from being up two scores to being up 4 at half was palpable. By the end of the game the Ewers talk was real and the old money was ready for a change. Sark has his issues but I hope he is given time, we are in 2000s Notre Dame territory. If there are guys that move the needle these guys will pay, Mathis was a want but not a $600k guy. Don’t be surprised if Addison ends up at Texas. We have a lot of big money that has fantasy football on the brain.

  15. I’ll be the first person to once again congratulate OUR President Uncle Joey Biden on a raucous 428,000 jobs created in April. How this man gets into the board rooms of America and improves the lives of Americans every month is phenomenal. Never in the history of this country has a Job-Creator in Chief personally given it to the masses like this man has done. 3.6% unemployment Covid dead Mets in first place Russian military exposed as frauds Stock market at discount prices

  16. It wouldn't matter when Esper shared those stories, nor would the forum for sharing make a difference. There have been countless revelations about Trump's wrongdoings, gaffs, grifts, crimes, etc.... and its doesn't fucking matter. Trump could have personally recommended all of the described courses of action in one of his incoherent SOTU addresses and it wouldn't have changed one damn thing. War crimes against mooslims and bombing brown people in Mexico would just get his base sexually aroused. And because the cult doesn't waiver, the GOP in congress protects him.

  17. Correct. They happen TODAY because laws, proposed by numerous GOP officials including sitting US senators, have not been passed yet/become fully effective. But, now they can be. And in any case, once they do, my wife and her physician would be subject to having a criminal investigation opened on them both questioning whether the medical procedure was truly necessary. A woman, going through one of the most traumatic experiences of her life, would absolutely 100% be subject to police questioning over the event to make sure that it wasn't an unnecessary medical procedure, as determined by super-objective GOP officials like Ken Paxton. Fuck you and fuck everything about you and your pathetic life. The cruelty, domination, and control that you so crave will one day come back and bite you in the ass.

  22. I wouldn't call it charitable giving when it's giving to fill a social need created by your own regressive policies to remove social safety nets and prevent easy public access to health service. And the issue is, even if that's true or not there's still hundreds of thousands of children being subjected to the foster system and being left to drown in the system. It's not meeting the need of these people that have no parents. You sure gave a shit about them before they could speak for themselves, why don't you give a shit about them now? I'm pretty sure I "no" why.

  25. I became a Thompson fan after his bowl game performance. Had high hopes for him and was surprised he didn't beat out Card to win the starting job at the beginning of the season. Now reflecting back, it seems like luck had a lot to do with how he performed in the bowl game. His decision making was poor, mechanics were awful and he lacked the arm strength necessary to run a D1 offense. When he stopped running to save a down here and there, he became completely useless. Glad he is Nebraska's problem now. Watching Ewers throw some dimes made me realize what a good QB should look like. I am not too proud to admit I was wrong about Thompson.
