You're right. We should focus on a failed presidential candidate and not on the president that's actively undermining relations with our allies while buddying up with a hostile foreign power that interfered in his election to his benefit.

I think that you should take that up with the poster who brought her into the current discussion, or the poster that felt obligated to defend her honor when someone made a joke at her expense when she was brought up.  If you don't want to talk about Hillary, strop bringing her up.

What a time to be alive. I hope all you who couldn't vote for Hillary are happy.

CaptainAnt is going to wag his finger at you now.

Trump to Finnish Pres Sauli Niinistö, per pool:

"I enjoyed being with you a couple of days ago. NATO has, I think, never been stronger. It was a little bit tough at the beginning, but it turned out to be love. I appreciated your support."

Millions of people who were immeasurably mad at this:

People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and … for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.

are totally cool with this:

Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt!

C'mon man.

No, they left because of uneducated olds...the same reason we're saddled with the worst leader since Hitler....oh, who am I kidding, Hitler could lead circles around Trump...setting aside politics, he's the worst leader in world history.

There's a reason that the opinion of the US dropped in every country except Russia and Israel.

If Brexit, and Trump teach us anything, it's that there should be a maximum age, and an intelligence test for voting.

Naw just pointing out your ongoing pattern of only ever saying negative things about the dems and at best only saying #bothsides. Your strange infatuation with being in the middle is really just being a trump apologist which is disappointing since you used to be capable of complex thought

I say meany things about the GOP as well, Ant.  I'll try to kick up the hysterics so they catch your eye.

Well, you see...this time it's different.

Given DOTUS' recent actions, if the power grid on the East coast went out this afternoon, would you trust him to shepherd us through that crisis? Would you believe that he didn't know about it beforehand?

Trumpkins are like Joe Paterno apologists.  They don’t give a damn about who is getting fucked as long as they get their win.

When I said this last night, I didn’t know that Trump would take it to heart and roll over like a bitch so publicly for Putin this morning.

I would have never thought in my lifetime I’d go from Reagan who stared down the Soviets, to a Republican President publicly blaming America for Russians trying to hack and influence our elections.

He might try and invite Russian soldiers on vacation to come in and fix it.

Even Putin is like the circus ringmaster who is tired of this clown's act.  The expression on his face is not one of admiration.

I have to wonder if he's beginning to reconsider his choice of puppets in all this.

This is Putin's moment. It's not so much that he has a weak US president. He has a complicit one.

Great idea.

The problem is that the differences in society from generation to generation has expanded exponentially with technology. The world the olds know and hold onto doesn't exist anymore and they're desperate to vote in those who promise the world they're comfortable with. But it'll never happen.

I was just discussing this with my parents. I remember as a kid we wouldn't wear our seatbelts in the back of the car while my parents would be smoking cigarettes and have open beers while throwing the trash out the window without a care in the world. Reflecting back on it, they are astonished that they would make those kinds of choices with what they know now. And that's just 30 years ago. But there are those who look at that behavior and still thinks it's ok because it's never hurt them before.

Those are Trump voters who have had fox news tell them that the old way is better than the new way, and that they should be deathly afraid of any change. Their life experiences no longer are valuable to society because society has moved forward.

I"m unreasonably annoyed that Trump never buttons his jacket when standing. And that his tie reaches his scrotum.

Socialism isn’t a move forward.  It’s just what you fuckers are in love with.

You make it sound like nobody over 40 knws WTF is going on in life.  That’s normal, but you’re not going to disenfranchise us by taking away our votes.

Hell, y’all have barely earned anything yet and think you should call the shots?

yeah, that ain’t how it works, bro.

I enjoy the simpletons who think our options in the world are Trumpism or Socialism. If you don't support Trump's idiotic policies, you're automatically a socialist.

He's overcompensating for his tiny penis.

Any moment now for press conference following US Russia Summit 2018.  Just waiting to learn exactly how amazing a negotiator our POTUS believes he is.

Where the hell did you get socialism out of anything Smokey said in that comment?

And he is right.  There is something to the adage you can't teach an old dog new tricks.   The older people get the more entrenched in their way of thinking.

But the problem isn't that the olds vote.  The problem has always been that the young don't.  Until you start paying taxes and deal with the government on a regular basis, then you trust your elders to do the right thing when it comes to electing competent legislators.    How to not only energize but educate the younger ones is the trick.

First thing i would do is stop dumping American civics and history classes off on coaches who could not care less.

Fox has programmed him. The slightest break from the cult of Trump = socialism. John McCain - Socialist. Jeff Flake - Socialist. Bob Corker - Communist. Ben Sasse - Socialist gun grabber. Nevermind their voting records.

Trump's base (old, white, fox news all day) are programmed. They are ignorant to the real world, they only know their marching orders. It's sad, my parents are victims of this new phenomenon.

Ignorant sheep.

Austin went 70% for Clinton and you are in denial or are ignorant if you believe Austin's citizens are socialists.

And Russia happily agrees with Trump's blame America stance...

That is plainly obvious and I can’t decide if it’s more funny or sad.

And that's a weird pattern I've noticed with the far right. Binary choices. It's their idea or the opposite idea. That's it in their world. Disregarding all other potential options in the grey area. Where compromise (gasp!) might need to be considered.

That's the result of years of not reaching across the aisle, and the country hasn't crumbled.  Yet.

The irony is that a simple hour spent once a year reading the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence would go a LONG way towards educating the electorate.

1. Make a stupid post that makes you seem like an idiot.
2. Get called out on it.
3. Say "I did that because the other side does it."
4. Fail to realize that Step #3 does not make you seem like less of an idiot even if it were true, which everyone can tell it's not.

Sorry, no profit step.
