Imagine what happens if Fox News just completely stops covering Trump, or covers the negatives and says they are negatives?

Where are his followers going to go for talking heads?  The Blaze?

Imagine what happens if and when it turns out Fox News a subject in an (the) ongoing counterintelligence investigation.  Not sure how easy it will be for them to separate themselves from the Trump morass.  A couple pages back, there was mention of Murdoch being able to flip a switch on Trump and that such a notion has entered the realm of possibilities.  They may feel the urgency to attempt that sometime soonish, but it may not be so simple to walk away.

  • US intelligence last year warned Jared Kushner, the senior adviser to President Donald Trump, that his close friend Wendi Deng Murdoch could be a Chinese spy, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.
  • The US regularly briefs new administrations on possible foreign agents they associate with, and China's business interactions with the US are often examined as possible national security threats.
  • Michael Wolff, the author of an explosive but questionable tell-all on the Trump administration, said Murdoch had been rumored to be a spy for years.

We really need a ranking of the Top Ten Trump lies.

There are just so many to choose from.  I was caught off guard the other day when I was asked on the spot to give an example of Trump lying.

The quickest thing I could come up with at the moment was about Amazon and the Post Office which was kinda weaksauce as far as Trump lies go.

How does that compute with their lie that wages went up with the tax cuts....

Why not both! It's true and untrue all at the same time.  Post truth world we live in now, its all feeling.  It just matters that he's sticking it to the other guy.

Ranking Trump lies is like picking the ten dumbest things an aggy ever did.  It's like sifting through a beach full of sand to find ten grains that stand out.

Nixon left office with 24% of the country supporting him. Most of them felt that he was a victim of the vindictive media.

Trump will likely have at least that high a percentage no matter what happens because his core supporters choose to believe that Trump's lies are truth and everyone else's truth are lies.

Think of what a huge media market 24% of the electorate represents. FOX could roll in money for decades if they can hold onto to the Trumpists. The only threat to FOX's support of Trump is the notion that Trump will start his own network once he leaves office. That would devastate FOX ratings.

FOX would be fiscally irresponsible doing anything other than cultivating the Trumpist market. They haven't ever walked away from evil as far as I can tell. They embrace it.

Trump will be hosting a new reality TV show on Russia Today for $150k per year post presidency.

If he's not already flat broke, he will be after all the legal bills, assuming he's not in prison.

Nah. I see him reverting back to what he’s done his entire career: hocking his faux-luxury last name to the low IQ and poors, and they’ll trip over themselves giving him money they can’t afford to give away.

This steak is gold! This hotel has gold plungers! This university has a gold professor!

Saw a tweet a couple of days ago that talked about Trump licensing his name to companies to use.

Two years ago Trump had 19 businesses paying to use his name

As of this week its down to 1 licensing agreement.

Russia will have abandoned him for sure. They're final jab in our eye will be revealing how they were able to compromise an American president. Trump can claim that's a lie, too, if he's bold enough to have the pee tape and other tapes released.

Yeah, I don't think Russia will ever abandon Trump as long as he has some influence on public opinion in the United States.

Plausibly deniable high profile agents of influence are priceless for the Kremlin.

My big question is will Mueller conclude Trump is an unregistered foreign agent of Russia?

If the Mueller is following the money, I don't think it would be a difficult case to make considering all the other behavior and obstruction.

If you go to TexAgs right now, you'll see a thread entitled "I don't care if Trump lies to us."

Thought you were bsing, they literally do not care that he is a pathological liar.  This is who we're dealing with.

When you start from a point of dishonesty, you're never going to make any real progress.  The house of cards will always fall at some point.

They need to put the whole cast of characters in a Big Brother house and let them sling feces at each other.

So are we still in “Ermagod the republic won’t survive so let’s all turn into depraved pieces of shit” mode or are people starting to come around to the fact that justice will be served and we’ll become a stronger nation because of this dark period in our history?
The republic will probably survive but does that really mean we shouldn't do depraved stuff?

Go read that thread, everyone.  Read it.  Read the whole thing.

Y'all wonder why I say the Republic is a dead man walking.  That's why.  That thinking is not just one or two people.  That thinking elected a PRESIDENT.  When a country gets to the point where that kind of idiocy can actually RUN THE FUCKING COUNTRY, that country has passed its expiration date.

Game over.

We like to think that aggy stupidity is unique.  Terrible truth here -- it's not.

It's actually worse than you're portraying.  Dissenting voices like mine get suppressed in Trump echo chambers.

I've been banned from tigerdroppings since 2017 for "trolling" the political talk board and calling the board racist.

This is aggy we are talking about, the same people that are fiercely proud of traditions and a history based on a mountain of lies.

Cmon man. There are plenty of morons who go to bama or LSU but they’re still not on the aggy cult level. Now penn state you have a point on. They may even be worse than aggy.

Shudder.

White, male and millennial: Hate groups tap bro culture to recruit members

PORTLAND, Oregon – Behind the anonymity of white faces illuminated by tiki torches, beyond the bloodied fists of street brawls, there are communities of young men who gather on weekends to camp and fish and train in combat sports.

The face of hate is changing in America, and the new right is a “millennial male phenomenon,” said Heidi Beirich, director of the Intelligence Project at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama, an advocacy group that tracks hate and bigotry toward marginalized communities.

Brewing among some young men is an intolerance and hatred that’s bringing bias-motivated violence to the streets and white-nationalist politics to the political forefront.

Beirich said many such groups have toned down their rhetoric and tactics since the violence of the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. But she pointed to two groups, very different in their objectives, that “are still growing and making noise,” the Proud Boys and Identity Evropa.

Both groups are young, male-dominated and positioned on the far-right. Both formed in 2016.

The Proud Boys are comprised of blue-collar workers in their 20s and 30s who the SPLC label as anti-Muslim and sexist. The Proud Boys call themselves a men’s drinking club, extreme patriots who believe “being proud of Western culture today is like being a crippled, black, lesbian communist in 1953.”

The Proud Boys are heavily invested in defending their First and Second amendment rights and recently have been involved in violent street fights with far-left groups known as antifa, particularly on the West Coast.

Identity Evropa is made up of mostly college-educated white men in their 20s and is labeled a white-nationalist hate group by the SPLC. Their goal is to enable a white supermajority in America by bringing their political ideas mainstream and expanding their political and social influence, according to the group’s current leader, Patrick Casey.

“Identity Evropa’s message is pro-white, white ethnostate, and this is a racist conception,” Beirch said. “Even though they may look good with their polo shirts and nicely painted banner signs, that doesn’t mean they are not dangerous.”

News21 shadowed both of these groups during efforts to recruit new members.

The FBI Launches a Combating Foreign Influence Webpage

Today the FBI is launching a webpage on combating foreign influence. This information is provided to educate the public about the threats faced from disinformation campaigns, cyber attacks, and the overall impact of foreign influence on society. The FBI is the lead federal agency responsible for investigating foreign influence operations.

In the fall of 2017, Director Christopher Wray established the Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF) to identify and counteract malign foreign influence operations targeting the United States.

Foreign influence operations—which include covert actions by foreign governments to influence U.S. political sentiment or public discourse—are not a new problem. But the interconnectedness of the modern world, combined with the anonymity of the Internet, have changed the nature of the threat and how the FBI and its partners must address it. The goal of these foreign influence operations directed against the United States is to spread disinformation, sow discord, and, ultimately, undermine confidence in our democratic institutions and values.

Foreign influence operations have taken many forms and used many tactics over the years. Most widely reported these days are attempts by adversaries—hoping to reach a wide swath of Americans covertly from outside the United States—to use false personas and fabricated stories on social media platforms to discredit U.S. individuals and institutions.

Other influence operations by adversaries include:

  • Targeting U.S. officials and other U.S. persons through traditional intelligence tradecraft
  • Criminal efforts to suppress voting and provide illegal campaign financing
  • Cyber attacks against voting infrastructure, along with computer intrusions targeting elected officials and others

As part of the combating foreign influence webpage, the FBI is launching the Protected Voices initiative—in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security and Director of National Intelligence—which includes the release of a number of short videos on the most urgent cybersecurity issues that may leave a political campaign’s computer networks vulnerable to attacks. The videos include tips and best practices on how best to protect computer networks, based on industry research and the FBI’s vast experience investigating cyber crimes.

But even beyond political campaigns, the cybersecurity information contained in these videos will be helpful to anyone who uses a computer.

The combating foreign influence webpage can be found at fbi.gov/foreigninfluence, and the Protected Voices webpage can be found at fbi.gov/protectedvoices. State and local election officials or campaign staff should report suspicious activity to their local FBI field officeand also notify FBI CyWatch at cywatch@fbi.govor 1-855-292-3937.

Actually, this is the point I think we're at:

1 -- Trump himself comes up with outlandish conspiracy theory (based on zero evidence)

2 -- Fox, Breitbart, Daily Caller all "report" what he said.

3 -- Trump re-tweets Fox, Breitbart, Daily Caller as VERIFICATION of the false story that he planted in the first place.  It's on these credible news sites, it MUST BE TRUE!  And Trump is just re-tweeting what the REAL, "fair and balanced" media is reporting!

That's the stage of propaganda that we're in now.

And it will work.
