Is Elko the fattest HC in FBS right now? I’m probably forgetting a couple of truly giant lardasses. Still, gone are the days of Ralph Friedgen and Mark Mangino. Those were the halcyon days of gluttons roaming CFB sidelines.

Hammock’s big for an ex-RB. Heupel’s on the wrong track. Bert?

Can you imagine how good that 2022 highest rated class of all time must have been considering all 4 services are systematically conspiring against A&M? Surely that collection of talent must have won at least 2 or 3 titles.

They did win the biggest busted #1 class title.

I actually believe they are right and aggy recruits are being dropped. This happened to Texas in the later years of FUPM up until Sark because we did a horrendous job of developing talent. So if there were a borderline recruit they’d drop if they committed to Texas and would go up if they committed to Alabama.

Seeing the number one class of all time flame out and with Elko not having many skins on the wall it’s not completely reasonable to think they’d get the same treatment until they prove it on the field/in the draft.

Who is the last obese coach to win a national title? Bowden in 99? Was he even fat in 99?

Bowden wasn't ever what I would call fat for a 70 year-old man.  You could fit two of him in that Elko wardrobe.  I  mean, Elko requires a parade permit just to leave the house.

For sure, it isn't pure fiction. Rankings will rise and fall based not only for who a recruit commits to but who is interested. Yes, part of that is a coaching staff's historical ability to develop talent, but in my admittedly incomplete knowledge it's more about evaluating talent. I'm certain I don’t need to address that reality regarding FUPM, particularly as it relates to QB. FUPM had amazing skills of not only underdeveloping recruits but towards the end he was mailing in the evaluations too.

The “Texas doesn’t develop talent” bias has largely been washed out. It took little thought to move that largely down the road to ATM, and that has absolutely happened.

He’s actually the perfect example of aggy’s terrible player development. He regressed there both in football as well as track. He’s blossomed in both at KU. He’s pre-season All Big XII and likely to be a day 3 draftee next spring as a top center. He also just competed in the nationals in Eugene in shot put.

Yeah but you have to weigh that against all the good bull replies his mom no longer gets on texags

It really does amaze me how they can craft shit out of whole cloth and then wear it as the obvious truth from there forward. Tito's Vodka isn't giving anything to NIL. They're a vice company according to the NIL rules and they can't. They do a sponsorship to TOF for low 5 figures, and they're doing sponsorships of that ilk in other places. Do they do a lot of sponsorship with UT? Sure. As with other programs. The notion has now reach "giving 8 figures to NIL" and that's probably the most absurd thing I've heard those goobers say in a while.

Well, we can still troll our aggy friends and relatives with regards to Tito's though, right?  Because I've definitely been doing that...like a lot.

I didn't know the guy who founded Pancho was a UT grad. Badass. I'm not much of an outdoorsman, but I have their burnt orange pearl snap and that thing is great.

Colt McCoy and, I think, other former players are investors.

That shit is paying off.  I see them all over Texas.  And have been in Montana and Colorado all summer.  Seems like half the men I see are wearing Poncho.  And many I’ve talked with aren’t Texans.  Counted five last night at a restaurant in Aspen.
