Biden runs a crime syndicate huh. Maybe he just got the names confused.

It’s so bizarre. If the Trumps didn’t operate exactly like a mob family, running their business like a criminal syndicate, no one ever would’ve thought to apply the same label to the Bidens who, incidentally, don’t run a family business. Joe’s a career civil servant, his wife’s a teacher, and Hunter works in the private sector. Beau served with distinction in the military, something Trump thinks makes a person a sucker. Beau might have gone into politics if his life hadn’t been tragically cut short. But referring to the “Biden crime family” is simply taking an appellation that perfectly fits the Trump clan and applying it to his political rival for purely political reasons. It’s just another example of blaming the other guy for the crimes you yourself commit and, like so many other actions of the Trumpublicans, is thoroughly Putinesque.

I really wish Biden would openly suggest sometime that maybe he should give Hunter a position in the White House as Senior Advisor to the President with a staff, a budget, and a security clearance just to see the reaction from the MAGAts. I wonder if they’d even get the connotation.

The fix to the government retirement program, make people getting benefits work

James Franco Reaction GIF

“We want to strengthen Social Security by ending a lot of those government checks to people staying at home rather than going to work,” Scalise said, endorsing work requirements for benefits.

They're just so god damn dumb.

It really is amazing, and really embarrassing to those of us who used to be Republican.  You expect today's GOP to play to the dumbest people because it worked well for Trump once, but you don't expect them to be the dumbest people.  Then again, they fully embrace MTG, Boebert, George Santos, etc.

Exactly.  They used to be a worthy fucking adversary.  Now they've been taken over by the very ones they used to scam into voting for them.

The truth, as it relates to the clip above, is that the Dr Comer references (Marty Makary), is indeed very critical of the government response to Covid.  He's not a wackadoodle though, so his ire is equally distributed among both administrations (He's mostly critical of Fauci).

Unfortunately, instead of recognizing the value of the good doctor as a means to honestly seek the truth, Comer decided to go for the cheap political point, which in turn caused Moskowitz to go for the predictable (but hilariously effective counter).

It's really quite sad that our leaders are more interested in winning the "who was right" argument than actually ensuring it's done right the next time. There will be a next time.

They spent decades calling Dems the party of low-information, uneducated welfare queens.

Now they're run by morons with GEDs who are swimming in PPP loans.

What you will not see from McCarthy is ANY legislation... to fix the situation at the border.  And WHY do you think that is?

Because there is NO PLAN at all from the GOP to actual fix the border (or any other issue of significance).  Because there isn't a bill that would that could pass the GOP controlled house that would do anything but lose votes nationally for the GOP.  You see all the GOP "fixes" don't work, and they don't address the issues that need to be addressed.

So while Greg Abbott is rolling around telling us how Biden is wholly at fault for anything at the border, electing Republicans into a majority means that this all important issue which is broadcast every 14 minutes, 24 hours a day on Fox News simply will not be addressed with any legislation.  You will get the dog and pony show hearings, and stunts but what you will not see is legislation.  Just like you will never see health care legislation from the GOP, because there are no solutions at all to big problems by today's GOP.

The whining and lying will continue but you will never, ever, ever see any legislation produced by the GOP controlled house of representatives.  In fact I would bet my 401K that you will never even see a bill on the border brought to the floor to be debated!  The absolute definition of a do nothing congress.

Yep, the situation at the border works better for them as a political talking point than a problem to be fixed. And like you said, they have no solutions.

The wall along the border was perfect for the GOP. It was a simple idea. It was a cause for which the Republicans could advocate and actually pass legislation to fund. It had little chance of solving the problem.

Republicans plan to cut spending appears to:

  • - Get rid of Biden’s $35 cap on insulin.
  • - Cut 2,000 Customs and Border Protection agents and officers.
  • - Would allow drug companies to continue to jack up prices on prescription drugs.
  • - Would make senior citizens pay more out of pocket for drugs.
  • - Massively cut Veterans healthcare via the VA

There's also noise about fucking with medicare and SS.

Good to see that the Republicans won't let a week go by where they don't prove that they are the biggest fucking snowflakes in the history of this country. They make Obama's Pajama Boy look like Macho Man Randy Savage.

I'm ready to bring back the Whig Party or the Bull-Moose Party at this point.
