No longer worried about people's finances as my neighbors seemingly spent thousands on fireworks.

Yeah. Last night my neighbors must have busted out some 81mm mortars.

Very disappointing that Biden publicly acknowledged his lack of energy and needs to sleep more. I don’t think we need a president staying until midnight every night but why would he play into the fears that he can’t handle the job or candidacy. If you need more sleep, then just get more sleep and stop the late evening campaign events.

IF he steps down from the race and Harris is the candidate, he also needs to resign. Let her take the reins and run her campaign as the current president.

What’s the relative cost of a few big firecrackers when you have a 2024 Chevy duramax and ski boat parked in the driveway. Only 80+ payments left on both.

The average American is pretty dumb including myself. Biden lost a lot of votes in the last month. We'll see

Just don't yell at the swing voters in a few months.

Why not?  The choice is status quo vs fascist asshole vengeance seeker.  What’s going so poorly with the status quo, with Joe in the top seat?

Biden has had horrible polling related to his age and competence the last 2 years. And then 8 days ago he came on stage and confirmed he was too old and incompetent. We can yell into the void or else run a candidate that can make a coherent point about what a piece of shit Trump is.

I think we've been hearing about how old and imcompetent he was the last two years, but it was by trolls, irreputable media sources, obvious antagonizers, and unserious people, so we just dismissed it as evidence 9,999,999 of disingenous political fodder from the far right.

Seeing it actually happen on TV, in a slow car wreck sort of way, really shooketh a lot of folks. I think the shock has worn off but the stink from it still lingers. I thought it would be gone by now in this 24/7 media hype circus cycle we live in.

In a way, the stupid disingenous media running the "Biden is senile" narrative worked against us because we weren't prepared for him to look and sound how very old men look and sound.

Oh that's West Selma, where I used to live. My town now, they're using their energy to rebuild their houses to take up every square inch of the lot, and they use one of two designs: either recreating The Prancing Pony inn in Bree, or else building a warehouse designed to look like a small cottage with double human proportions. I'm talking an HO scale house sitting on an N scale layout. No boats, hardly any trucks. We do have tiny angry women in Range Rovers who tailgate.

The state of the union was a banger. The Biden camp is the one that pushed for the debate. This was the biggest political miscalculation since Sarah Palin.

That was my thought initially, but info is coming out saying Team Biden noticed him going downhill, so perhaps they did it on purpose, so they'd have enough time to pivot if needed.

I'd like to think they are playing chess, but perhaps I'm giving them too much credit.

Okay, so which ones do you agree with then? Let's get that on the record for all the stoopy dumb dumbs out there who think voting for you is a great idea.

I mean, the only swing state governors I’d choose are Whitmer or Shapiro. Evers is too old and so is Roy Cooper.  Cooper or Shapiro would be excellent VP choices for Harris, along with, as mentioned, Mark Kelly

I think too much credit, they really prepared him trying to make it work.

The debate was not a disaster in effect, the debate may be what saves the nation.  The democratic campaign was under water and sometimes to fix something, first you need to destroy it.

We were (are?) running grandpa against satan. We need a vigorous, aggressive champion (ex- prosecutor? ) to go at Trump with both barrels. We need a wildly contrasting articulate truth warrior

to make that bleach drinking antichrist evident for the narcissistic moronic jackass that he is.

Find our defender of democracy and let's ride.

What about that dude from Kentucky? Some good old chaw-backy horse-sense to counteract Harris' secret plan to have us all poop on the sidewalk?

Yeah, this is why they all had long faces the day after the debate.  It’s like how everyone here wanted Jimbo to win enough to stay at Aggy.

I love the idea that not only must Democrats move on from Biden, they must also move on from Harris. The end result of this infighting is going to be not having a nominee at all or having multiple. People are stupid, panicky beings.

he is in fact too stupid to understand what it says. or even bother reading it. somebody just told him to deny it. and also he will do whatever it says for the grift.

According to many pundits and most of this forum, Trump turned out 10mm new voters because of a Black President.  And turned out another 10mm new voters because of the possibility of a female President.  There are receipts.  Do you all not remember the last 9 years of lectures?

The biggest problem I’m seeing with Harris seems to be people not liking her stupid ass catchphrase. So if she stops trying to make fetch happen, what issues are left? I think she will be ruthless against him and she could be out there 24 seven pounding away at him while Biden can have his warm milk and be in bed by eight

I guess some loonies on the far left think she’s a cop, but how many of them are you going to lose relative to votes in the middle you can hold onto?

I think she's a cop, but I'll still vote for her if she's at the top of the ticket; anything to keep from being a refugee (tho I'm aiming to be out of the country on Jan 20th, just in case)

Are you going to ask or repeat this 17 more times a day or what?

Has Kamala been giving many interviews? Seems Dems strategy is to be quiet and hope Trump will hand them the election.

Literally anyone competent would win this election fairly easily. Any time Biden steps out now he loses his train of thought smh.

Fair point.  But did not much of this forum berate the point, even more than I do and that's saying something, that Trump's campaign brought out millions of voters who were upset with the memory of a Black president and the notion of a female president.  And didn't those two turnouts not turn the tide of the 2016 election?  Or I am I missing something that you've yet to explain?

She was at the BET awards and doing skits with a very strong GOTV message, making sure everyone knows how important this all is, if they aren't clued in or necessarily engaged politically.

ABC is turning over the prime time schedule tonight for their interview with Biden. While Biden can't win the presidency tonight, he sure can lose it. It will be interesting if Stephanopolous will save him if he starts to wander off.

A debate format works the worse for someone in Biden's condition. An interview is much better when a short coherent answer is sufficient. And usually an interviewer is not an adversary so you're not looking to hit back at them with a zinger or fact check them.

Fairly certain it's not live but was/is being conducted today.

Critics will say that it's edited and/or George is protecting Biden. However I don't think tonight is about critics or Trump voters. Biden needs to win over the Democrat party.
