This is the shit I don’t understand. Ignoring the inevitable Brisket post. Why would anyone want to repeal that act? There is no upside, even political or perception based, to gutting that act and costing jobs. Even billionaires are making bank off that act. So why would it even be a discussion?

They will undo anything good Biden did and re-pass it as the DONALD J TRUMP CHIPS ACT THAT IS BETTER THAN BRANDON’s

Simple Trump thinks the guy is saying "who cares" about Biden.  no dumbass, he's making fun of you for still talking about Joe Biden WHO ISN'T YOUR OPPONENT.

this reminds me of that town hall meeting he did with a bunch of CEOs where he called him "Gavin Newscum" and the interviewer interrupted, "newsome" and Trump didn't get that he was calling him out. He started laughing and was like "this is the first time anybody has corrected me, I know his name" and the interviewer was saying "It's just that there's a crowd of CEOs out here who would be ousted immediately for referring to a rival CEO like that" and Trump didn't get it. He wasn't correcting him because he thought Trump didn't know his name, he was correcting his decorum and Trump was clueless as hell.

Because a democratic president signed it into law.

Because Trump didn’t think of it first.

Interesting article from the Daily Beast about mounting pressure on shrub Bush to endorse Harris.

During a live interview that aired Friday on The New Yorker Radio Hour podcast, Liz Cheney said, “I can’t explain why George W. Bush hasn’t spoken out, but I think it’s time, and I wish that he would.””

Shrub’s daughter is all in with Harris. Of course she is.

Is it possible that W offered to endorse Kamala, but she declined it for fear it might alienate the far-left, leading them to stay home?

THIS.

GWB left office with disapproval pushing 70%. Trump or Biden could only dream of that. To the extent his endorsement would swing anyone, it's at least as likely to help Trump as it is Harris.

It's also very possible he is voting Trump, because he fucks with the whole tax cuts and privatization over everything line of thinking.

The Bush family hates Trump, remember what he did to Jeb? W is also on record as telling Michelle Obama that Trump's inauguration was "some weird shit." W without a doubt is not voting for Trump. He should man up and tell people.

Dick Cheney's more hated than W, so I'm not sure that makes a lot of sense

Mexicans in particular seem to have become more Trumpy, which might be what's going on in NVAZ

And South Texas. We ceded a traditionally Blue South Texas Corridor with a booming population and have done Nothing to course correct.  It's infuriating. We need a statewide candidate that is Allred/ Munchin light but Latino that also hunts and can look authentic doing so like Gov Ann whilst quoting George Straight with Flaco Jimenez endorsement.

I always try to remind our Trumpy posters that they're aligning with Texags, hoping that might make them see the light. It does not.

I don't think it'll matter much electorally because anyone engaged enough to catch a Mike Johnson soundbite probably already voted. Still, what an own goal; also, the bill got 64 Senate votes. I'm pretty skeptical they could pass a repeal.

If so, then I return to the rest of my post: he should keep his mouth shut because he's unpopular.

There is always a first for everything.  Lifelong coward painting picts of those he had killed to assuage his guilt and doing jack shit to improve quality of life for those he merely maimed. Coward ass coward.

I very rarely carry a gun on my person when I’m not out in the woods, but with all the nut bags around here I’ll be packing for a few weeks no matter who wins.

Yep, starting tonight I'm carrying my .40 for at least a week. Usually leave it at home.

Could see this being the case, and if so as we all expected, W being the hero we deserve, but not the one we need right now...

This for all the Bush-loving conservatives in here, especially the Texans:

I have a question for you in the aftermath of Trump proposing a firing squad for Liz Cheney -- the daughter of his VP?

Where is W on this?

What isn't he denouncing Trump, right now.

What's he waiting on?

Where's your Texas hero?

Just wondering...

That bloated orange windbag has done nothing but insult and ridicule Liz for years. Why would W grow a spine now?

That, and if we're being completely honest there are way too many who are just as anti-black racist and misogynist as the worst of their non-Latino counterparts.

There's a fuckton of people like this

Using "hero" very, very loosely, no politician is a hero. But if its true he could have came out endorsed Kamala but was either asked not to or didn't because he knew it wouldn't go over well, thats at least noteworthy/chatotic good.

I mean, if the butcher of the browns Duck Cheney and his daughter don't already do it.

Speaking of... This is a solid discussion about the real quandary facing Muslims in this election. How they have a choice between the VP of the administration that is supplying Israel with bombs that are killing their family members in Gaza and Trump. Very interesting discussion on how the Harris camp has made the business decision to stay quiet on Israel and ignore the Muslim vote in Michigan. Large muslim boycott of the election can either be a fatal flaw, or let both parties know that the Muslim vote doesn't mean much.

Well, my opinion of the Green Party just got a boost.

Noble but she can’t withdraw a few days before the election. She’s on the ballot. RFK too, in most spots. But I hope they ostracize the fuck out of her until time ends.
