There was a 13 page thread on Michigan State's On3 site about Masunas transferring.

They thought he was a NFL level TE that wasn't featured enough because their offense sucked so bad.

Disagree with the assertion that Arch sucked against Florida. He was average, but average wasn't enough to overcome all of the bigger issues in that game.

There are very few QBs who can operate when they're being pressured 50-60% of drop backs with no run game, even in the NFL. Off the top of my head, maybe only Mahomes, Stafford, Herbert, and Burrow. The rest of them crumble.

It really didn't help that Sark kept calling plays that had long developing route concepts with no built-in hots when pressured. There were a ridiculous number of plays where Arch was being pressured but none of the receivers were even at the top of their routes.

If you go and look at the all-22 copy, it's evident that a decent number of the incompletions came from RPO and screen plays that Florida sniffed out. Just dead plays.

One thing that has gone completely unnoticed was that the Mississippi State game was the first time Sark put Milwee back in the booth. Up until that point Milwee was on the field, and Mike Bimonte was in the booth. If you ever noticed how lost Arch looked in the Florida and Kentucky games, this is probably why.

Bottom line is that Arch sucked ass against the first 3 opponents + Kentucky but Sark (and especially Flood) really did fail him in a lot of aspects.

It’s pretty remarkable that Sark wants edges and interior defensive linemen more than he wants receivers. Not what you would expect from a former QB and offensive coordinator. It’s a good thing for us, I think.

That all feels like Boom more than Sark. But I don’t know shit

He was in the portal last year and Ole Miss snapped him up. I think it was Arkansas from which he hailed, and they were not excited to lose him, especially to a semi-rival. Texas never reached out to him.

You continue to blurt out this drivel about "Ohio State would have just opened up the offense" when there is a mountain of evidence at this point that that, well, was their fucking offense. They needed to open it up against multiple other teams and couldn't really do it. You can cite advanced statistics as some sort of solve for your position and the rest of will continue to look at the scoreboards and question just what in the fuck it is you think you are highlighting. Keep tilting at those windmills though, we have only seen your take on this subject roughly 1700 times since early September.

I do not think I shared this one. THe take that you got annoyed with and told me I was over-reacting, spamming the board, and dead wrong on was I said the OL sucked vs OSU and the rushing yards were a result of light boxes

Texas is about to have a TE drafted for the third straight year.

I am pretty happy with Masunas. At worst, he is TE2, but he was thought to be the starter for MSU and Brian Wozniak has had real good TE's both at Michigan State and Oregon State.

It will be nice to have a plus blocker at TE.

I'm glad to have him, and Michigan State did not want to lose him, but since people asked about PFF, here you go. They like him better in the passing game than the running game, FWIW.

Everyone already forgot that Boom is the HC of the defense. It’s quite obvious he has all the say on his side of the ball.l

I think this is a huge pick-up. Just getting an in-line TE that can block will be extremely valuable. I think it was Gerry that really liked him.

So average as a blocker at TE (219/430) and amazing as a receiver (7/342)? That is surprising to say the least... will need to look at some MSU game film to see... Odd, but then again without knowing how PFF grades TE blocking, not sure...

How did Endries rank in comparison this year?

Wait until Banks coaches the blocking out of him

Ha, no. You have been asserting, for months on end and in multiple posts, that had Texas truly threatened, Ohio State would have just magically opened up the offense.

The OL didn't play terribly and they didn't play great against OSU, irrespective of how much you want to alter reality and claim that they were just absolutely dreadful. They started really sucking after that game, sure, but that wasn't the discussion.

Two things can be true at the same time - you hammered both the "Ohio State would have just opened up the offense" trope and also wailed and gnashed your teeth about the OL's performance against OSU as all-time bad.

Sources around the recruitment, FWIW, are saying that the offers from Texas and ATM aren't far enough apart to matter. It's going to come down to other recruiting characteristics. If that is true and the guy chooses to go play for a first time OC in College Station, well, HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!

Stupid Sip...why would anyone want to play for that bust Arch when aggie had a Heisman candidate in November and much better numbers all year!!!

Saturday was a stupid beautiful day in Austin. Combine that with Arch taking him to Paggi House for a romantic date, I think he's ours.

So this has become an intelligence test.

If he chooses Aggie, we dodged a bullet.

If the money is about the same, who in their right mind takes a chance in their NFL audition on Holmon Wiggins? How is this even a discussion? Aggy should have to overpay by 7 figures to get him to consider that situation over Sark OC with a Manning QB.

Bobby just talked about this wrt Coleman - he's a player who if he does things right will be a top 15 draft pick in 2027. The signing bonus for that high of a pick is significantly higher than anything any college will offer.

Not to piss in anyone’s cornflakes, but the kid did pick Auburn for his first go-round. Here’s to hoping he’s not one of those Brenan Thompson hayseeds that needs a fishin’ hole 50 yards from the stadium to have a comfort level.

You see every guy wiggins recruited or signed at Bama portaled our? Gotta think his agent knows someone who knows one of them...

IMG_7775.jpeg

He's already lived through the Jackson Arnold Experience, why would he choose to do it again?Reed has two years of struggling against basicslly any defense with a pulse.

Also thanks for reminding me they have a first time play caller and picked wiggins of all people. Zero chance the guy is a conference, much less national championship, winning play caller.

My take. Texas offered him top of the line money. He went to aggy, probably wasnt that impressed but they said we will give you whatever Texas will give you +500k. He probably is debating whether that is worth it or not and seeing if Texas will match. I think he ends up coming here, the value of the Texas brand and playing with Arch is infinitely higher than playing for aggy.

What stops a kid from resigning with a school then entering the portal anyway?

Didn’t Damon Wilson do that last year?

I hope we land another undersized speedster that can’t get us 2 yards on 3rd and 2

Cam played HS ball ~30 miles SE of Auburn, in Phenix City. Landing at Auburn is not that far out of the question. He did flip from Aggy to Auburn after Jimbo was fired.

He had 4 visits: Auburn, LSU, Aggy, Clemson. For an NIL era signing, it certainly looks like a list of bag-toting teams, though.

Aggy gets OL Trovon Baugh from South Carolina. Second OL portal add for them.

Graded out as a 75 overall against A&m for his season high. Had a 62 against Michigan and a 57 against OU.

smh even aggy can land a Baugh

I’ll admit that I’m biased, but I’d much rather sign Durham as a speed back than R. Brown. He would be cheaper and when healthy he is much more explosive. He didn’t have a great year in 2025 but he also was playing on a pretty hurt ankle. Becton’s program has done a pretty good job with keeping Texas healthy for the most part and I know he would be interested if Texas called. He was pretty good in the SEC in 2024.
